New Dys 113

[00:21] Shadowcaller: You can hear someone coming and Dark eyes soon comes out from the mist, she carries a spear. She makes a wolfen greeting (slightly different from what Promise and Hope are used with, but they see what it is at least.)
[00:23] Wolfbane: Promise nods in greeting when she appears.
[00:23] Shadowcaller: "A misty field… perhaps we should go back to pack?"
[00:24] Wolfbane: "It would be better than being in the open."
[00:24] Happy [8]: "Yes."
[00:25] Shadowcaller: "Let the nose guide you then, it's not very far."
[00:26] Shadowcaller: She goes into the mist again.
[00:26] Wolfbane: Promise follows.
[00:26] Happy [8]: Hope holds his paw, since her nose isn't much use.
[00:30] Shadowcaller: They soon reach the Deep Howler tribe once again. There aren't many wolfen outside their huts however, thought Promise is sure there are look outs watching them, or at least smelling them, this very moment.
[00:32] Shadowcaller: Dark Eyes leads them into a hut, removing the skin-curtain. Inside there are various animal pelts hanginf from the walls, some blankets and a not yet lit fire place in the middle of it. There is a hole above the fire place where you can see the grey sky from. There is no one there however but them.
[00:33] Shadowcaller: Dark Eyes sit down on some of the blankets "Sit."
[00:35] Happy [8]: They do
[00:35] Shadowcaller: "So stormbringer, do you have any stories to share with my tribe?"
[00:36] Wolfbane: "What kind of stories? I have several."
[00:36] Shadowcaller: "And your mate? Have you any? Or are you from the same tribe?
[00:37] Happy [8]: "No, I grew up in a human tribe. Our stories are different."
[00:38] Shadowcaller: "Anything you might feel to be important, I'm intrested in what the northen tribes knows of dawn wolf and Fenris thought."
[00:41] Wolfbane: Promise sighs sadly. "Most of the stories seem to have disapeared over time, but there are a few left. Most believe the Dawn Wolf to be dead though, and Fenris guards her tomb."
[00:41] Shadowcaller: "Thats not really the stories I have heard…"
[00:42] Happy [8]: "There was a boy in a village near Kyou who thought he had dreamt of the Dawn Wolf. But I think it was a dream of the Wolfen spirit who guarded their village."
[00:44] Shadowcaller: Dark Eyes shrug "Don't know anything that, I just have a few myths."
[00:46] Shadowcaller: "You don't have any actual stories about them then?"
[00:47] Happy [8]: "I don't, no."
[00:49] Wolfbane: "There is only one actual one that I can remember off the top of my head, but its the story of how they came to be, nothing special."
[00:50] Shadowcaller: "You don't have any of how they… split then?"
[00:53] Wolfbane: He shakes his head. "Just that one of them, likely Dawn Wolf is dead. I met a guadian spirit who had known them, but he wasn't inclined to tell me much about them."
[00:54] Shadowcaller: "A guardian spirit?… well my story isn't going to be a easy one to tell for you then stormbringer."
[00:57] Shadowcaller: "It is the oldest story we tell to our cubs at nights."
[00:57] Wolfbane: "I'm willing to listen."
[00:57] Shadowcaller: "Okay… hear me then."
[00:59] Shadowcaller: She starts to grind two stones near the fireplace together and lits it, a small flame starts to burn, making long shadows appear in the small hut.
[01:00] Shadowcaller: "Long ago," Dark eyes make a sweeping motion with her hand "There were two great spirits, Dawn wolf and Fenris, names given to them by their childs. But at that time before time they were simply known as "she-is" and "he-is"."
[01:03] Shadowcaller: "They met and created their many, many children. But this was against the laws of the spirit world, many of the great old ones become angered by their actions, but other spirits were instead inspired, the great bird spirit Lugia and the five dragon spirits amon them. They also made their own peoples."
[01:04] Shadowcaller: "But some of the great old ones couldn't accept this and decided to kill these forbidden childs and those who had made them."
[01:05] Shadowcaller: "A great war took place between the great spirits and their followers."
[01:06] Shadowcaller: "The child-makers won the war and banished the great old ones, now called "the oni"."
[01:08] Shadowcaller: "But during the war dawn wolf and Fenris faced against one of the great old ones. Sweet Grass Voice as we call him."
[01:09] Shadowcaller: "Dawn wolf devoured Sweet Grass Voice and that they thought was the end of the story."
[01:09] Shadowcaller: "But Sweet Grass voice was alive, inside Dawn Wolf and whispered poison in her ear…"
[01:11] Happy [8]: Hope leans against Promise's shoulder, and squeezes his paw.
[01:11] Shadowcaller: "She become jelous of the attention Fenris gave to their children, the voice told her that Fenris didn't love her anymore, he just loved the children."
[01:12] Shadowcaller: "She begun to act strange… the voice telling her she can be the only one of tribe."
[01:14] Wolfbane: Promise squeezes her hand, she'll be able to tell he's a bit saddened.
[01:14] Shadowcaller: "Then she begun to hurt the children…"
[01:14] Shadowcaller: "It was for punishment at first, that they had not given her enough attention."
[01:15] Shadowcaller: "She begun to demand offerings and sacrifices."
[01:16] Shadowcaller: "Fenris loved the children deeply and couldn't see them hurt by dawn wolf."
[01:17] Shadowcaller: "When she begun to demand children to sacrifice their own, it burst."
[01:18] Shadowcaller: "One day he demands a stop to it. The Sweetgras Voice then tells Dawn Wolf that Fenris wants to control her."
[01:19] Shadowcaller: "That he loves them more then her."
[01:21] Shadowcaller: "So she challenges him."
[01:21] Shadowcaller: "The voice drives her and she wins. Fenris is banished from tribe."
[01:22] Shadowcaller: "Tribe suffers greatly under dawn wolf, many children die. Fenris watches, can't take it anymore."
[01:22] Shadowcaller: "One night, he goes to dawn wolf's den, she think he wants to say sorry."
[01:22] Shadowcaller: "They sleep. Then… Fenris bites her throat."
[01:23] Wolfbane: Promise puts up a paw. "Please, stop, I'm sorry, but I…/can't/ listen to the rest." He's obviously distressed about the story.
[01:24] Shadowcaller: "It's soon over stormbringer… just a bit more."
[01:24] Happy [8]: Hope nuzzles him.
[01:25] Wolfbane: He shakes his head. "I'm sorry, I just /can't/ believe that one would turn on the other, even against her will. I'm sorry."
[01:28] Shadowcaller: "Dawnwolf didn't die… not completely. But again, it's just a myth. Not many to want to belive it either, they say it's a ghost story and replaces it with other stories about how dawn wolf and Fenris lived in peace and that great oni killed dawn wolf. Is that better?"
[01:29] Happy [8]: "She didn't die?"
[01:29] Shadowcaller: "Not completely, she is a god after all."
[01:30] Happy [8]: "Did the madness leave her?"
[01:32] Shadowcaller: "She felt a great shame, she hated the Sweet Grass Voice as it had lied to her. But Fenris couldn't let her to be in tribe, the children were afraid of her. So she left, greatly weakened."
[01:33] Shadowcaller: "Some of tribe followed her, but rest stayed. Fenris could not bear such shame of hurting her. He leaves tribe to never return."
[01:36] Wolfbane: "Its a sad story to hear. I'm sorry I stopped you from telling it."
[01:36] Happy [8]: "We've had too much heartache of late. Do you know a happier one?"
[01:37] Shadowcaller: "Do you? Already told mine now."
[01:38] Wolfbane: "No childhood tales or legends, but stories of our journey perhaps?"
[01:38] Shadowcaller: "Something to tell you our cubs?"
[01:40] Wolfbane: Promise smiles. "Another in our group is a better story teller, but perhaps there is one or two good stories."
[01:41] Shadowcaller: (Hehe… how did you like that one?;)) "If you think it's a good story. Go ahead."
[01:46] Wolfbane: (Let me think of one)
[01:46] Shadowcaller: (I can say that story is ploty godness:P)
[01:47] Wolfbane: (The story is real? O.o )
[01:47] Happy [8]: (we have to kill Dawn Wolf D= )
[01:48] Wolfbane: (Hopefully Sweet Grass instead)
[01:48] Shadowcaller: (Hehe…)
[01:48] Wolfbane: (Unless Promise has an extremely good reason to, he won't harm either Dawn Wolf or Fenris)
[01:48] Shadowcaller: (You will see;))
[01:50] Shadowcaller: (Was it a good story?)
[01:50] Wolfbane: (YEah)
[01:50] Wolfbane: (Promise didn't care for it, but it was good)
[01:50] Shadowcaller: (He likes Happy stories more then eh?)
[01:51] Wolfbane: (Its not that, he hates the idea of them turning against each other. To him, they are supposed to be the ideal of loyalty, courage, and hope.)
[01:53] Happy [8]: "I'll tell you the story of how I met my mate," Hope says.
[01:54] Wolfbane: Promise smiles a bit at Hope.
[01:54] Shadowcaller: "…do the cubs want to hear this one?" Dark Eyes sound a bit doubtful.
[01:54] Happy [8]: And she tells the story of when she met him in the woods and thought he was one of the wolves who had attacked them a few days before.
[01:56] Shadowcaller: Dark Eyes is a good listener, she dosen't interrupt anywhere during the story.
[01:56] Shadowcaller: "Then what?" She asks as she finishes.
[01:57] Happy [8]: She tells the story of the battle at the tower, and how Promise fought to save people he didn't know
[01:57] Wolfbane: Promise will add in a little of things from his point of veiw (won't mention his previous name though).
[01:58] Shadowcaller: "You rode on the storm all the way there… grand mother really called you the right thing."
[01:59] Shadowcaller: "But it is a grand story to tell the cubs."
[02:00] Happy [8]: "It was some time later before we chose each other," Hope says smiling at him.
[02:01] Wolfbane: Promise smiles. "We were playing a child's game. I'll never forget the look of shock on Cessie's face at my answer." He turns to Hope, smiling. "Or yours."
[02:01] Shadowcaller: "Cessie?"
[02:02] Wolfbane: "She is a friend of ours."
[02:03] Shadowcaller: "Of your pack?"
[02:03] Wolfbane: "I'm not sure you could call us an actual pack, but yes."
[02:04] Shadowcaller: "Ah…"
[02:05] Happy [8]: "She is very different from us."
[02:06] Shadowcaller: "They mentioned you had a strange pack."
[02:07] Happy [8]: "Who did?"
[02:09] Shadowcaller: "Oh, White Nose. He was with Green Tail."
[02:13] Shadowcaller: "I suppose it is mine turn to tell a story then? Or do your mate wish to?"
[02:14] Wolfbane: "I could tell the story of one of our hunts. A rather good one as well."
[02:15] Shadowcaller: "Go on." Dark Eyes grins in a friendly way "Hunts are always intresting, but the last one is going to be hard to beat."
[02:15] Shadowcaller: (Michicora soon?^^)
[02:16] Wolfbane: (Soon now that I have my comp back. =P) Promise begins to tell the story of the hunt for the <insertnameofbatthing>.
[02:17] Shadowcaller: (You don't remember?:P Koumori.)
[02:17] Wolfbane: (Couldn't remember the spelling, thats all)
[02:18] Shadowcaller: (Need a glas of water… and to use the bathroom, brb.)
[02:28] Shadowcaller: (back.)
[02:31] Shadowcaller: (Including the part with Arik?)
[02:31] Happy [8]: (yeah, necromancy is illegal >.> )
[02:32] Wolfbane: (He wouldn't mention that, just that a friend came to give Hope energy to continue healing him)
[02:33] Shadowcaller: (Okay.)
[02:34] Shadowcaller: "One thing I don't understand… where did this friend come from?"
[02:35] Happy [8]: "A wizard. He was scrying on us as we hunted, so I called him as Promise lay dying in my arms."
[02:36] Shadowcaller: She nods "I see."
[02:38] Happy [8]: Hope puts her hand on Promise's face, looking into his eyes, lost for a moment in memories.
[02:39] Shadowcaller: "I suppose I should…" She pauses as Hope dose so.
[02:41] Wolfbane: Promise puts a paw over her hand and squeezes it for a moment before taking it off his face and puting it down to their sides. (he's still holding it though) "Sorry, we've been through a lot."
[02:41] Shadowcaller: "It's okay, take your time. You don't need to be sorry for loving your mate."
[02:43] Happy [8]: Hope ducks her head, coloring.
[02:46] Wolfbane: Promise puts his arm around her and pulls her a bit closer. "I believe it was your turn for a story."
[02:46] Shadowcaller: "Yes… a happier one."
[02:49] Shadowcaller: (Let's see if I can make up happy stories;))
[02:53] Shadowcaller: "Ah, I know one."
[02:55] Shadowcaller: "As all stories, this one begins a long time ago in this very area. There was a wolfen girl named Star Gazer as she always gazed upon the stars."
[02:56] Shadowcaller: "She was a dreamer, but not a terribly good hunter. Her mind wandered in the most important of tasks."
[02:56] Shadowcaller: "Therefore she had no mates."
[02:57] Shadowcaller: "But as she one night stood there and gazed upon the stars, one of them suddenly fell."
[02:58] Shadowcaller: "It came down upon the plains, leaving a great trail of fire."
[02:59] Shadowcaller: She ran after it of course.
[03:01] Shadowcaller: "When she came to the place where it had struck the earth, she found a he (aka male wolfen.)"
[03:03] Shadowcaller: "He called himself sky wanderer and was one of the great stars. He also told her that he had watched them. Much like she had watched the stars."
[03:04] Shadowcaller: "He had taken a intrest in her and her tribe and came to visit."
[03:05] Shadowcaller: "But she had not been the only ones that had seen him fall from the sky."
[03:07] Shadowcaller: "Sky wanderer and star gazer soon found themselves sorrounded by the honor less, the dark servants. Wolfen who… have fallen."
[03:08] Shadowcaller: "But thanks to star gazer who knew the area well, they managed to escape the honorless ones."
[03:10] Shadowcaller: "For a long time they were hunted by them, many stories are told about the adventures the pair encountered on their journey."
[03:11] Shadowcaller: "But in the end, they managed to defeat the honorless ones with the help from the tribes."
[03:13] Shadowcaller: "But sky wanderer needed to return to the sku, to watch over the tribes from above, to guide them in the dark. So he took farewell of Star Gazer who would miss him greatly. But he also left her with a son and a daughter that eventually would be the first sky wolves."
[03:15] Shadowcaller: "One day, when Star gazer was old and weak, she stepped out from her hut and there was star wanderer waiting for her."
[03:15] Shadowcaller: "He took her away, stepped up in the air, never to return to the earth again."
[03:16] Shadowcaller: "The stars themselves formed into a symbol of their love we still can see in the sky today."
[03:16] Shadowcaller: "…have you heard it before?"
[03:18] Wolfbane: Promise shakes his head. "THis was a new one."
[03:19] Shadowcaller: "Then I know you really aren't from around here. All the tribes know of Star Gazer and Sky Wanderer, their offspring became great leaders of the tribes."
[03:23] Wolfbane: "Not all apparently."
[03:23] Shadowcaller: "Perhaps only the southern tribes…"
[03:24] Happy [8]: "Why couldn't he take her with him the first time he went back to the sky?"
[03:26] Shadowcaller: (Your asking for logic in a myth?:P) "I belive Star Gazer wasn't ready to leave just yet. She still had a life to live on the plains. Someone had to take care of the children after all and sadly Sky wanderer was needed in the heaven once more."
[03:29] Happy [8]: (I should go to bed)
[03:29] Shadowcaller: (Me too >.>)
[03:29] Wolfbane: (Have a good night you two *huggles*)
[03:29] Shadowcaller: (And my cat as well.)
[03:29] Wolfbane: (hehe)
[03:30] Shadowcaller: (Night… see you tomorrow.)
[03:30] Shadowcaller: (Or today… whatever.)
