Aegnor sanoo:
Cessie wakes up on a morning a few days before the scheduled departure. (Hmm. Your call, before or after meeting Arik.)
Shadowcaller sanoo:
(After, easier to get into.)
Is Aegnor there?
Aegnor sanoo:
Yeah. In the bed next to her.
Shadowcaller sanoo:
Is he sleeping or is he awake?
Aegnor sanoo:
He's sleeping. For once(and again).
Shadowcaller sanoo:
(Indeed…)
She gives him a gentle tug
Aegnor sanoo:
He opens his eyes slightly. 'Mm.'
Shadowcaller sanoo:
"I wake up before you today." She says smiling, looking over him.
Aegnor sanoo:
'So it seems.' He smiles back warmly.
Shadowcaller sanoo:
"Well, we better get up. I'm actually feeling a bit hungry…"
Aegnor sanoo:
'Right away, my lady.' Aegnor starts the process of getting up, dressed, equipped and such.
Shadowcaller sanoo:
"Its easier to sleep with your clothes on you know, and no risk for… inmodest situations."
Aegnor sanoo:
'I guess, but it's uncomfortable.'
Shadowcaller sanoo:
She says while helping him get his gear on
"You get used to it, I sleept with my clothes on since I was exiled."
Aegnor sanoo:
'Mm. You might not have had quite as much metal in your clothing, though.' He winks while strapping on a longsword.
Shadowcaller sanoo:
"Thats true I supposed.." She says and look at all Aegnors gear again,as first now realizing how heavy all that has to be to carry.
"I would not even be able to move in all that stuff…"
Aegnor sanoo:
'Heh. Maybe I'm a bit of a scavenger.'
'Anyway, let's go fetch some breakfast.'
Shadowcaller sanoo:
"Lets." She walks right behind Aegnor out of the hut.
Aegnor sanoo:
It's rather early morning for Cessie, although late for Aegnor to wake up. People are busy, the village is starting to look quite stripped down as things are being packed.
Shadowcaller sanoo:
Dose she smell breakfast?
Aegnor sanoo:
Yeah, as usual. This time it's the turn of some Wolfen to make it, and the hunters had gotten lucky yesterday so there's even meat.
Shadowcaller sanoo:
I guess more animals have moved in here since the closing and opening of the gate?
Well, she sits down with Aegnor and eats breakfast then
Aegnor sanoo:
Yeah. They've gotten meat more often lately.
Aegnor greets multiple people as they go to get breakfast. The people seem to be in rather good spirits even though they're having to leave their homes. And the children run around as usual, chasing each other in their games.
Shadowcaller sanoo:
"Who are all these people Aegnor? I don't even know their names…"
(Maybe she do know some of their names, but she is too attached to people she knows. She have a hard time meeting new people.)
Aegnor sanoo:
'Oh, I'm sorry… Actually, that reminded me of something.' He smiles.
Shadowcaller sanoo:
She smiles back "Of what?"
Aegnor sanoo:
'Have you thought of my suggestion to teach you elvish any?'
Shadowcaller sanoo:
"I'm afraid it slipped my mind somewhere between we were batteling a mad man who planned to kill all gods and we saved slaves from a rebelling city."
/when we were batteling a man man
Aegnor sanoo:
'Well, good for you I was here to remind you of it. Things like that tend to get forgotten into the midst of all the everyday mundane chores.'
brb
back
Shadowcaller sanoo:
"Every day life can do that to your memory I'm afraid." She says grinning, "But yes." She adds with a more serious tone "I very much would like to learn your language Aegnor."
Aegnor sanoo:
'Maybe we should allocate some free time for that purpose, then. At least to remind you of the basics you already know.'
Shadowcaller sanoo:
Cessie sigh "If I had been more willfull, I would already have learned it already. People speak it here every day, I have met more elves in a few weeks then i have done in nineten years, but yet I have not learned anything."
Aegnor sanoo:
'Well, you have had quite a lot of other things on your mind.'
Shadowcaller sanoo:
"I guess… but still, I should have learned something."
Aegnor sanoo:
'Well, we can begin fixing that oversight now then.' *smile*
Shadowcaller sanoo:
Returning the smile as always Cessie puts her hand on Aegnors should and pulls herself closer to him "Yes, and belive me. I will be your hardest challenge yet."
Aegnor sanoo:
'Yeah, knowing you I'll probably run out of things to teach.' He grins at her.
Shadowcaller sanoo:
"We will see Aegnor, just stop before you lose your mysterious charm." She kisses him on the cheek
Aegnor sanoo:
'I'll be sure to take good care of that.'
Shadowcaller sanoo:
"I belive you will… so when are we going to get started?"
Aegnor sanoo:
'Whenever you wish.'
Shadowcaller sanoo:
"Well, whenever you got time, I understand that you are a busy person see?"
Aegnor sanoo:
'I always have time for you.'
Shadowcaller sanoo:
She kisses him on the cheek again "Of course you do, so should we get started then?"
Aegnor sanoo:
He smiles. 'However, said time will have to be after I've eaten.'
Shadowcaller sanoo:
"Who said we could not do it while we are eating?"
Aegnor sanoo:
Aegnor mumbles something while chomping on a piece of bread.
Shadowcaller sanoo:
Cessie eats a bit breakfast on her own then
So, they eat breakfast then
Aegnor sanoo:
Yup.
Aegnor finishes his food. 'Ahh. Now then.'
Shadowcaller sanoo:
"Only if you wish my master, thats what I'm going to have to call you now right?" She says with a wink.

1:07:44 Aegnor: 'Hmm. What about 'The Awesome, Wise and All Around a Great Guy Sensei Aegnor'?'
1:08:22 Shadowcaller: "What do Sensei mean?"
1:10:38 Aegnor: 'It's a term roughly meaning 'teacher', although it's sometimes used for people who're good at something even if they're not actually teaching anyone.'
1:11:11 Shadowcaller: "Ah, I thought it was just another word in common I never heard of."
1:12:10 Shadowcaller: "Very well then Sensei, share your wisdom to this young little girl."
1:13:10 Aegnor: 'We better free up the table, though.' Aegnor stands up.
1:13:47 Shadowcaller: Cessies eyes whiddens a bit "Um, okay."
1:14:38 Aegnor: 'Hmm… since this is elvish we're talking about…' He smiles and starts leading her not towards the hut but instead towards the edge of the camp near the stream. 'Let's go on a short walk.'
1:15:16 Shadowcaller: "Well, your the teacher."
1:15:22 Shadowcaller: She follows him
1:16:47 Shadowcaller: "Not really how I was taught at the university… which may be a good thing."
1:18:33 Aegnor: 'Well, I'm just improvizing here.' They head outside the village and a short trek along the stream later, he stops as the stream makes a small bend. The area is rather beautiful, as the sun is shining and the sound of the water flowing mixes with the soft hum of the forest.
1:19:29 Aegnor: He motions to a suitable rock nearby. 'Let's sit here for a moment.'
1:20:41 Shadowcaller: She sits down on a nearby rock "I never knew there was such places in Yokai…" She comments, enjoying the warmth of the sun.
1:23:37 Aegnor: He sits on a nearby log. 'About the subject… I'd assume most people would start by easy and useful phrases and words to learn. But in my opinion it is important to understand where the language is rooted. Elvish was born off things and places like this. It's rythm, pronounciations and many words derive from the nature and it's facets.'
1:24:27 Shadowcaller: "Makes sense, please go on."
1:26:18 Aegnor: 'Languages evolve, but elvish changes less than most. The exact reasons are debatable but I like to think it's simply because the words are closer to their meanings. Elves from all over the world would understand each other, even though each dialect would have it's own differences, much like nature everywhere is different, yet still much the same.'
1:26:56 Shadowcaller: "Very unlike most human languages…"
1:29:42 Aegnor: 'Now, I suppose we had best start with finding out what you already know…' And I suppose he'll teach her for a few hours, since this would probably be best skipped. » He'll work first on trying to give her a feel of the rythm of the language so she can distinguish words she knows from the speech of the villagers and such, which in turn helps her learn the unknown words by the context.
1:32:44 Shadowcaller: Cessie is not really good at pronunciation, but she seems to be able to understand the words themselves and their meaning once she hears them. Despite her claim she is a good learner, possible since she have a lot more reason to learn elvish this time around and also possiblt since Aegnor is the teacher.
1:33:37 Shadowcaller: *possibly
1:37:46 Shadowcaller: She slowly starts to be able to understand the few things he is teaching her, but is doubful if she will remember everything.
1:40:23 Aegnor: <some time later…> 'So, try to listen to people speaking it even if you don't understand what they're saying, that'll help you with the way it's spoken and you'll increase your vobaculary subconsciously. But I guess we should return to the village.'
1:41:11 Shadowcaller: (You really need to make up a few elvish words.)
1:44:30 Shadowcaller: "I will try, its hard when they are constantly mixing it with wolfen thought. Maybe I should hear you speak to the other elves? You must know some of them by know, like those slaves we saved."
1:47:14 Aegnor: 'That also works. It's interesting how much the two languages have evolved and mixed here…'
1:48:16 Shadowcaller: "It makes it harder for me unfourtanly, wolfen is really complicated."
1:48:40 Shadowcaller: "Elvish is at least a language, wolfen… is something more."
1:50:36 Aegnor: 'True that. But after today, I'm, if possible, even more confident that you won't have any trouble with elvish if you keep at it.' He smiles.
1:53:01 Shadowcaller: Cessie smiles back "Yes." She says in elvish "I try to use it."
1:54:11 Aegnor: 'Good.' He responds in the same language. 'Let's go back now.'
1:54:43 Shadowcaller: "Yes." She replies, once again in elvish.
1:55:10 Aegnor: They head back to the village
