Kyou 38

[19:57] Shadowcaller: So… Aegnor had just played epic music and learned how they could return home
[19:58] Shadowcaller: (also, the place where Hakari resides is the tempel of twilight)
[19:58] Happy: hopefully not involving a depraved satyr
[19:58] Shadowcaller: (Hey, whats wrong with that guy?:P)
[19:59] Shadowcaller: (Besides all the things I already said is wrong with him >.>)
[19:59] Shadowcaller: (Gah, I hate to write this, its a god-damn graveyard scene…)
[19:59] Shadowcaller: (*sigh*)
[20:01] Murska: back. :P
[20:01] Murska: and then brb again for much less time
[20:01] Shadowcaller: (Interact as you wish, nymphs, a satyr, a wolf spirit and a old man is aviable for interaction.)
[20:02] Shadowcaller: (Oh, and dryads.)
[20:03] Murska: and back
[20:03] Shadowcaller: Yokai Wolf: /While the music was beautiful, I wish we could keep moving./
[20:04] Murska: (Let's see, the name of the guy I was to contact was Hakari?)
[20:04] Shadowcaller: (yosei.)
[20:05] Murska: (Wasn't that the spirit who told me to contact the gate guardian? Oo)
[20:05] Shadowcaller: (Um, yes.)
[20:05] Shadowcaller: (Yeah, I missunderstood your first question.)
[20:06] Murska: /And which way should we go? I was told to contact someone named Hakari, who's supposedly the gate guardian and might know a way out, but that can be done here aswell./
[20:07] Shadowcaller: /The name sounds familiar… like something I should remember…/
[20:07] Shadowcaller: /Could you attempt to contact this spirit?/
[20:08] Murska: /Yeah, of course. Anything left to do around here?/ Aegnor walks to Promise and attempts to wake him up.
[20:09] Happy: Promise wakes up.
[20:09] Shadowcaller: Xavius: "So, are we going t start?"
[20:09] Murska: (The spirits oughta notice me stopping the conversation with Yosei, right?)
[20:09] Shadowcaller: (They did.)
[20:10] Murska: 'That boring, eh?' Aegnor asks Promise, smiling.
[20:11] Shadowcaller: /I just want to keep moving, this place is no intrest for me, while I enjoy it. I rather want to be home in yokai, protecting my kin./
[20:12] Happy: "Why did you wake me? I was having the most beautiful dream," Promise says as he stretches.
[20:13] Murska: /We all do, just that moving somewhere else here doesn't bring us any closer to getting home as far as I know./ 'Because I assumed you'd rather be meeting your beautiful mate. Or was I wrong?'
[20:13] Shadowcaller: Nymph: "Hello Aegnor, are you done speaking to your new admirers?"
[20:15] Murska: 'For now. I can hold multiple conversations at once if needed, though.' Aegnor turns to her and bows slightly. 'Like the music?'
[20:16] Shadowcaller: The nymph laughs merrily "You need to ask that?"
[20:17] Murska: 'Of course. Comments and criticism help me improve.'
[20:18] Shadowcaller: "I can't say I fully understand your music, I doubt anyone but you do." She smiles "Want to go swimming?"
[20:19] Murska: 'I'm sorry but I'm somewhat busy right now.' Aegnor smiles aswell. 'I'd have something I'd like to ask, though, if you don't mind.'
[20:21] Shadowcaller: She shrugs, "Okay, go ahead, it was quite longe time since we met anyway."
[20:22] Murska: 'Can you communicate with your kin on the mortal plane?'
[20:23] Shadowcaller: "Don't you recognize me? I knew your name after all." She winks
[20:24] Murska: Aegnor looks more closely. 'I must have received more brain damage than I'd have imagined, to forget such a face.'
[20:25] Shadowcaller: She giggles "I think you just have eyes for her after all."
[20:27] Murska: 'Well, that's also true. And not only because the side of her that will kill me if I don't is scary…' Aegnor produces a fake shudder. 'Could you relay a message to Caster and the villagers back on the Tree?'
[20:27] Murska: (I just found another unexplainable hole, this time in my heel. )
[20:27] Shadowcaller: "Of course!"
[20:27] Shadowcaller: (O.o)
[20:28] Murska: Aegnor looks at Promise. 'Do you have something to say to them or someone else back on the Tree?'

[20:52] Murska: Aegnor turns back to the nymph. 'Well… they should know that…' He seems to be uncharacteristically struggling with words.
[20:52] Murska: 'Ai is dead.' He blurts out.
[20:53] Shadowcaller: She stands silent for a while then says "Oh…"
[20:55] Shadowcaller: "I will tell them that Aegnor, my sisters will mourn him, in our souls."
[20:56] Murska: 'We're going to find the one responsible. And then…'
[20:58] Shadowcaller: "You don't need to tell us Aegnor, you do what you feel is right."
[21:00] Shadowcaller: "We always do." She smiles, but you can almost feel that she is a bit less happy then usual due the horrible news
[21:01] Murska: 'Yeah…'
[21:04] Shadowcaller: "Was there… something else?"
[21:09] Happy: (brb 15 mins)
[21:09] Shadowcaller: (okay.)
[21:11] Murska: 'Well…' Aegnor manages to gather a smile back to his face, although it's easy to see that it's a forced one. 'We ran into some trouble but saved the day, as always. Everyone else is fine.'
[21:15] Murska: (Oh, and SC: If I'd have been lying about being a connected villager to get Happy to believe me, your comment might've been affecting the game! Bad you! :P)
[21:17] Shadowcaller: "I'm glad to hear that Aegnor, we have been a bit worried about you and the others since you left. I fear some of our worries were confirmed now…"
[21:18] Shadowcaller: "Bu lets talk about something else? How is she doing?"
[21:18] Shadowcaller: *but
[21:18] Shadowcaller: (Also, we have hardly talked about the tactical parts of Kyou anyway. My comment was in no means effecting.)
[21:19] Murska: (Well duh. It'd just have allowed for a more finely-crafted lie for me. :P)
[21:21] Murska: 'If you are talking about who I assume you are, the last time I saw her she was fine. Studious as ever.' His smile relaxes as he thinks of Cessie.
[21:22] Shadowcaller: "Your relationship is fine then? And how about Happy?"
[21:24] Happy: (What comment? it must have happened after I left the chat)
[21:24] Happy: (oh, and back)
[21:24] Murska: Aegnor's smile should be enough to answer the first question. 'Happy…' Aegnor steps a bit to the side and indicates at Promise. 'Well, here's the one upon whom I'll leave the responsibility of telling about her.'
[21:25] Murska: ("Shadowcaller sanoo:
You are a connected villager?" this comment)
[21:25] Happy: "As valiant and beautiful as ever," Promise says. (And I feel really weird praising my own character… :P)

Session Start (moc.evil|eltrutyppah-anit#moc.evil|eltrutyppah-anit:Group Conversation 26946): Thu May 21 21:27:37 2009
[21:27] Shadowcaller: (>.>)
[21:27] Murska: ?
[21:27] Happy: huh?
[21:28] Shadowcaller: (You dropped.)
[21:28] Murska: Me?
[21:28] Shadowcaller: (Happy.)
[21:28] Murska: Ah. Never noticed.
[21:28] Murska: Since, you know, she's offline.
[21:28] Happy: [21:25] Happy: "As valiant and beautiful as ever," Promise says. (And I feel really weird praising my own character… :P)
[21:28] Murska: Aegnor sanoo:
Aegnor's smile should be enough to answer the first question. 'Happy…' Aegnor steps a bit to the side and indicates at Promise. 'Well, here's the one upon whom I'll leave the responsibility of telling about her.'
("Shadowcaller sanoo:
You are a connected villager?" this comment)
[21:28] Murska: Right.
[21:29] Shadowcaller: "I sure will tell the others that, she was the funniest one of you."
[21:30] Shadowcaller: "Care to tell us about your adventures?"
[21:32] Shadowcaller: "I'm sure you had endless of them, there is something about your group that ties you with fate."
[21:32] Happy: (maybe we could share stories on the way to meet whashisname?)
[21:32] Murska: (I can contact him anywhere, IIRC)
[21:32] Murska: (If only I remember his name. :P)
[21:33] Shadowcaller: (Hakari…)
[21:33] Shadowcaller: (Damn PC's…)
[21:33] Happy: "Why do you call her the funniest?"
[21:34] Shadowcaller: "She was always so cheerful, she gathered bees…" She smiles "A bit like us really."
[21:34] Shadowcaller: She leans toward Promise as to tell him a secret "Him and his mate are a bit too serious if you know what I mean?" *wink*
[21:35] Murska: 'We should be returning to the rest of the group, so just a short summary it'll have to be, the story of our great exploits upon far-away foreign lands.'
[21:35] Murska: 'Would 'we saved humankind and killed a god' be enough?'
[21:36] Happy: (d'oh… i forgot to take my medication the last two days. no wonder i've been so foggy >.< )
[21:36] Murska: (Oo)
[21:36] Shadowcaller: (o.O)
[21:37] Shadowcaller: "Sounds exciting, except that killing part…"
[21:38] Shadowcaller: "So you are leaving so soon then?" She lowers her shoulders a bit, as to show dissapointment, as good as a nymph can show that type of emotion that is
[21:38] Happy: "We'd like to get home to our mates," Promise says.
[21:39] Murska: 'And we have some people to help protect, aswell.'
[21:39] Shadowcaller: "Well protect stuff sounds important."
[21:40] Shadowcaller: "We don't really understand important stuff…"
[21:40] Shadowcaller: "But you should return, I Happy and Cessie must be deeply worried for you."
[21:41] Shadowcaller: *-I
[21:41] Murska: 'I'm sure. Even though I've told them many times not to be. Sheesh, emotions.' Aegnor grins.
[21:42] Shadowcaller: "Don't worry be happy, as we say." She flash her perfect white teeth's
[21:43] Shadowcaller: "But I guess need to get going… wherever you are going."
[21:44] Murska: 'I'll try to return to the Tree whenever I can. Then we can talk longer and maybe I'll pull a real concert aswell.'
[21:45] Shadowcaller: She claps her hand and jumps up and down "Ohh! That would be perfect!"
[21:45] Murska: Aegnor dedicates part of his mind to contacting Hakari. /Greetings./
[21:45] Shadowcaller: No response
[21:46] Shadowcaller: There is a presence, but it don't respond
[21:47] Murska: (I've been thinking of me being able to contact spirits, by the way… Would it work that if I hear a spirit's name in 'mind-speak' the words carry with them not only the name but a sort of an 'energy-signature' with which I can attempt to find them, but this wouldn't work in normal speech?)
[21:47] Murska: (Just cuz I ought to be able to find the names of a lot of spirits in stories and such in the real world. :P)
[21:47] Shadowcaller: (Sure… why not?)
[21:50] Shadowcaller: (Attempting to contact the dreamer are we?:P)
[21:50] Happy: eep
[21:52] Murska: /I was told to contact you. We have this slight problem, see… We'd like to get back to our own realm but the gate appears to be closed./
[21:52] Shadowcaller: Still no response
[21:52] Murska: (What a jerk.)
[21:54] Shadowcaller: (No comments, go on.)
[21:54] Murska: /You do know that I'll keep bothering you until you respond, don't you?/
[21:55] Shadowcaller: /Busy./ You hear a deep voice inside your head
[21:55] Murska: /Okay. When do you have time?/
[21:56] Shadowcaller: /Not any time soon./
[21:57] Murska: /Anything we can do to either get to the mortal realm or at least help you have time to help us?/
[21:58] Shadowcaller: /I need to keep my concentration, please do not bother me anymore. There is nothing I can do for you at the moment./
[21:58] Murska: 'Hm. He appears to be busy at the moment, so I guess we'll have a bit more time after all.'
[21:58] Shadowcaller: "WHo are you speaking too?"
[21:59] Murska: 'Hakari.'
[22:00] Shadowcaller: Xavius: "Ohh… I see what you are trying to do. Tell me, if you don't like my idea for some reason, I might have something else in mind…"
[22:00] Shadowcaller: "That wolf is fast right?"
[22:01] Murska: (Xavius is close enough to listen, eh?)
[22:01] Shadowcaller: (He is.)
[22:01] Shadowcaller: (He can be sneaky:P)
[22:01] Murska: (Well, that's what he's practiced for a long time, I'd assume. :P)
[22:01] Shadowcaller: (Indeed,)
[22:07] Murska: (The wolf doesn't respond?)
[22:07] Shadowcaller: (He was asking you.)
[22:07] Shadowcaller: (The wolf don't hear him.)
[22:07] Murska: (ah.)
[22:07] Murska: 'Ask him.'
[22:07] Shadowcaller: (Or is not listening.)
[22:08] Shadowcaller: * one npc conversation later*
[22:08] Shadowcaller: "Well… he is a bit rigid, but yeah. He is fast enough…"
[22:08] Shadowcaller: "See, I know where this Hakari fellow is."
[22:09] Shadowcaller: "And the location of the gate."
[22:09] Happy: (Yeah, and we believe him, why?)
[22:10] Shadowcaller: (aww, poor Xavius, already disliked by all PC's.)
[22:10] Happy: (and the narrator)
[22:10] Shadowcaller: (>.>)
[22:11] Murska: (who also made him)
[22:11] Murska: 'Right, so, let's go there.'
[22:11] Shadowcaller: "Yes, exactly what I was going to suggest."
[22:12] Shadowcaller: "Tried to get there a few times actually… but i got tired and walked back."
[22:14] Shadowcaller: "So… lets get out of here then! Wolf, you can transport us to a place right? I tell you the exact location. Got the map in my head you see?" He points at his horned head
[22:15] Shadowcaller: /*sigh* I guess we *really* have to take him with us don't we?/
[22:15] Murska: /As long as he's the only one who knows where we're going…/
[22:16] Shadowcaller: /Oh well, I suppose I will let you ride me then./
[22:18] Shadowcaller: Promise, Aegnor and Xavius suddenly feels themselves some place else, a grey featureless place
[22:18] Happy: (And Suroshian?)
[22:18] Shadowcaller: (And him >.>)
[22:18] Happy: (Unless he got an invitation to stay with the nymphs. Which would be hilarious for the look on Xavius's face ^.^)
[22:18] Shadowcaller: /Enjoy the ride…/
[22:21] Shadowcaller: (Hehe, well he is a old warrior… and Kataki is still hunting him)
[22:22] Shadowcaller: Xavius: "Any ideas how to pass the time?"
[22:22] Shadowcaller: "Too bad we left the nymphs behind…"
[22:23] Shadowcaller: "We should have taken some of them with us."
[22:23] Shadowcaller: "I mean, all male company?"
[22:23] Murska: Aegnor doesn't respond, humming a bit to himself and looking around at the landscape.
[22:24] Happy: "I doubt they would have wanted to leave their home."
[22:24] Shadowcaller: "I suppose… they like it there after all."
[22:25] Shadowcaller: The landscape is completly featureless
[22:25] Shadowcaller: Nothing intresting beside the others
[22:26] Shadowcaller: "I'm telling the wolf directions right now, WITH MY MIND!"
[22:26] Shadowcaller: "How cool isn't that?"
[22:29] Shadowcaller: "Eh, be boring then, I'm just trying to cheer you up."
[22:30] Shadowcaller: Suroshian sigh
[22:30] Happy: "Sorry. My player is really dull sometimes"
[22:31] Murska: Aegnor doesn't feel like talking to him. :P
[22:34] Shadowcaller: Since no one feels like talking you just wait then, Xavius attempts to start a few conversations do they all fail?
[22:35] Happy: If they're about sex, yes.
[22:35] Murska: Probably. :P
[22:35] Shadowcaller: "So… not much going on in your relationships eh?"
[22:36] Shadowcaller: "You don't appear that instrested after all…"
[22:37] Happy: "You're good at giving relationship advice then?"
[22:38] Shadowcaller: "Of course I am! The expert is here before you!"
[22:39] Murska: 'You've had such great luck in that respect after all.'
[22:39] Shadowcaller: "Hey, its not my fault that I happend to be born a expert on /mortal/ women."
[22:40] Shadowcaller: "Spirit woman don't understand my gentel soul sadly.."
[22:40] Shadowcaller: *gentel
[22:41] Shadowcaller: "So… need any advice then huh?"
[22:42] Murska: 'No thanks.'
[22:42] Shadowcaller: "Come on, at least tell me how she looks like?"
[22:44] Shadowcaller: "Please?…"
[22:45] Murska: 'Great.'
[22:45] Shadowcaller: "Hm, her name then?"
[22:46] Murska: Aegnor doesn't respond.
[22:46] Shadowcaller: "Furry one then, how do your mate look like?"
[22:47] Happy: "Like a summer's day."
[22:47] Shadowcaller: "Err… name then?"
[22:48] Murska: (Hm. I'm suspecting that my messages aren't showing to Happy again in the private conversation?)
[22:48] Shadowcaller: (What?)
[22:48] Murska: (Maybe because she closed it? At least they're showing the post-time above it again, as though I had sent it after she went offline)
[22:48] Shadowcaller: (What type of private conversation do you have?)
[22:48] Murska: (Wouldn't you like to know? :P)
[22:48] Shadowcaller: (8-))
[22:49] Shadowcaller: "Why are their names so private anyway?"
[22:50] Happy: "Names are important to my people."
[22:51] Shadowcaller: "And to his people too?"
[22:51] Shadowcaller: Xavius nods at Aegnor.
[22:51] Murska: 'Maybe we just value our privacy.'
[22:52] Shadowcaller: "Well, then I have to add the information I have then to a mental image of them."
[22:53] Shadowcaller: He closes his eyes "You said she was a wizard right?"
[22:53] Murska: 'She knows magic.'
[22:54] Shadowcaller: "Okay… I know the type…"
[22:54] Shadowcaller: His eyes remains closed and he simles disturbingly
[22:54] Murska: (Then again, who doesn't, based on the people we keep meeting… :P)
[22:57] Shadowcaller: Finally after what feels like a whole day, you hear the yokai wolf say /We have arrrived…/
[22:58] Shadowcaller: You find yourself on a mountain-like landscape
[22:59] Murska: Aegnor examines the place.
[23:00] Shadowcaller: The place appears to be caught in a permanent twilight
[23:01] Shadowcaller: Behind a small rock wall you can see a huge tempel in the distance
[23:02] Shadowcaller: Xavius: "The tempel of twilight."
[23:02] Shadowcaller: "Never tought I would see it really."
[23:02] Shadowcaller: Before you is a huge temple, the walls of it are in an ever changing color of black and white. There are no windows or other type of openings in this building except for the huge entrance that is the first thing that draws your eyes. On each side of the entrance is a small tower, one white and one black, shaped like spears.
[23:04] Shadowcaller: (Players, pay attention!)
[23:04] Happy: (oh, right…)
[23:04] Shadowcaller: ()
[23:04] Happy: (Sorry, Murska's scheming >.> )
[23:05] Shadowcaller: (I can't have Xavius drag along the plot right?:P)
[23:05] Shadowcaller: (Damn Murska and his schemeing.)
[23:05] Happy: "And Hakari lives here?"
[23:05] Shadowcaller: (I guess you talk about WoD?)
[23:05] Happy: "If you'd never been here, how did you know where it was?"
[23:05] Shadowcaller: "Yes, somehwere inside here."
[23:06] Shadowcaller: "Maps and friends."
[23:06] Shadowcaller: "Most of my kind have been here at least once."
[23:06] Murska: (sorry, PMing people a lot)
[23:06] Murska: 'Let's get going, then?'
[23:07] Shadowcaller: "Yes, onwards!"
[23:07] Shadowcaller: Suroshian follows, he have keept himself quiet since Xavius arrived.
[23:08] Shadowcaller: The yokai wolf follows too
[23:08] Shadowcaller: You can see a few spirits entering and exiting the temple, near the entrance stands what appears to be floating suits of black and white armor their helmets keeping a steady watch of anyone entering the temple.
[23:09] Shadowcaller: "Black and white… quite dull colors aren't they?"
[23:09] Murska: Aegnor and, presumably, the group approach the entrance.
[23:10] Shadowcaller: As you are closing in, the suits of armor blocks your way in "No mortals are allowed to enter the tempel of twilight."
[23:11] Murska: 'Ah. Which way to get back to the mortal realms, then?'
[23:11] Shadowcaller: "This is the way to the gate."
[23:11] Murska: 'Hm.'
[23:14] Happy: "Well since we're mortals, we're sort of on the wrong side of the gate. So if we could just pass through, we'll be out of your way soon enough."
[23:14] Shadowcaller: "No mortals are allowed to enter the temple of twilight." The suit of armor repeats
[23:15] Murska: 'Can you go move that temple somewhere else so we can pass the gate, then?'
[23:15] Shadowcaller: "That is not possible."
[23:15] Murska: 'Move the gate outside the temple then?'
[23:16] Shadowcaller: "That is not possible."
[23:17] Murska: 'Redefine the Temple of Twilight to consist of only the areas we don't have to pass through to get to the gate?'
[23:17] Shadowcaller: "That is not possible, the gate is a part of the temple, please move along."
[23:17] Murska: 'Change the rules?'
[23:17] Shadowcaller: "Please move along."
[23:17] Murska: 'Where exactly?'
[23:18] Shadowcaller: "Anywhere but the temple."
[23:19] Murska: 'Well, technically the concept of different points in time is actually moot due to time only being one of the dimensions we're in, so since at some point in time I'll be immortal, I'm not actually a mortal, therefore I can pass?'
[23:20] Shadowcaller: "Please move along."
[23:20] Murska: Aegnor turns to the Wolf. 'Well, you can pass.'
[23:21] Shadowcaller: /Yes? But Should I leave you here?/
[23:21] Shadowcaller: /From what it appears this might be the only way out…/
[23:22] Murska: 'Mm. It wasn't the only way in, and anyway, there's got to be some way for mortals to get out.'
[23:23] Shadowcaller: /Can't you… sneak in somehow?/
[23:23] Murska: (Right, I'm ing, actually)
[23:23] Murska: (:P)
[23:24] Murska: /Well, I'd think you can enter the temple, look around and come back without having to pass the gate yet, at least./
[23:24] Shadowcaller: /Okay, but how will that benefit you?/
[23:25] Murska: /Layout of a place we're supposed to sneak into always helps. And maybe you could find out something about how long the gate'll be closed, or why Hakari is so busy./
[23:26] Shadowcaller: /Very well, I will return shortly./
[23:26] Shadowcaller: Yokai wolf enters the tempel
[23:26] Shadowcaller: -time passes-
[23:26] Murska: Meanwhile Aegnor examines the place closely.
[23:27] Shadowcaller: The whole temple goes in black and white, in the towers he can see more floating suits of armor
[23:27] Murska: What's the entrance like?
[23:27] Shadowcaller: A few shade looking spirits passes by
[23:27] Shadowcaller: A circle without a door
[23:27] Shadowcaller: (as the first description said.)
[23:28] Shadowcaller: Yokai wolf returns
[23:28] Murska: (where did it say that?)
[23:29] Shadowcaller: (Hm, must have missed that…)
[23:29] Shadowcaller: The entrance itself is shaped like a circle and its edges that go along with the rest of the temples theme are black and white.
[23:29] Murska: Aegnor attempts to sense the guards' energy.
[23:30] Shadowcaller: They are normal spirits, tasked with one duty they follow blindly
[23:30] Murska: How strong?
[23:31] Shadowcaller: (Weaker then the yokai wolf, a little bit stronger then a normal human soldier.)
[23:31] Murska: How many?
[23:31] Shadowcaller: Two at the entrance, four in each tower
[23:32] Murska: (Happy, open up the convo with me again.)
[23:32] Shadowcaller: /Well… there is a long corridor that eventually leads to a great hall, there's the gate./
[23:33] Murska: /Guards?/
[23:34] Shadowcaller: /There are a two at the gate, but oterwise its empty at the moment./
[23:34] Murska: /Closed?/
[23:34] Shadowcaller: /No, not yet, I saw a few spirits enter it./
[23:35] Shadowcaller: /And that Hakari spirit is there, but he appears to be lost in deep concentration./
[23:36] Shadowcaller: /I don't think he is aware of his sorroundings./
[23:36] Murska: Aegnor ponders this for a moment. 'Odd…'
[23:36] Happy: /Zubera?/
[23:36] Shadowcaller: /Ye-…s?/
[23:37] Murska: 'We were supposed to feel the way out but we don't, I assumed that was because of the eclipse, but it appears there isn't one after all then…'
[23:37] Murska: He thinks the words to the Wolf as he says them.
[23:38] Shadowcaller: Xavius: "How odd… well, it means we can get out at least."
[23:38] Shadowcaller: /Yes, its very odd. The gate felt… weakened thought./
[23:38] Happy: /We're very near the gate, but the guards of the Twilight Temple will not let us pass./
[23:38] Shadowcaller: /…okay…do…help./
[23:39] Shadowcaller: /Not…do…/
[23:39] Shadowcaller: /Hear?/
[23:40] Shadowcaller: /Oh for…/
[23:40] Shadowcaller: (You suspect you didn't want to hear that last word anyway:P)
[23:40] Happy: /Can you tell the spirits to let us pass?/
[23:40] Murska: (It'd be funny to run into Myobi as he's returning to the spirit world.))
[23:40] Shadowcaller: (Indeed it would.)
[23:41] Shadowcaller: (But since you suggested it, ain't going to happen
[23:41] Murska: (:P)
[23:41] Shadowcaller: /I…no…/
[23:41] Happy: (I thought we were going to find Ai in the forest of pheremones)
[23:41] Murska: (It'd be funny if the guards didn't suddenly decide to let us pass.)
[23:41] Shadowcaller: /…)
[23:42] Shadowcaller: (And instead you met Xavius? How sad:P)
[23:42] Shadowcaller: /So… what is your plan speaker?/
[23:43] Murska: /Hmm. Let me think, there's something off here…/
[23:45] Murska: Aegnor motions for the others and moves a bit away from the guards and the gate.
[23:45] Happy: Promise follows
[23:45] Shadowcaller: So do the others
[23:47] Murska: 'Right. The gate seems to be open after all, so I'm somewhat curious as to our recent troubles in attempting to reach the other side or even communicating with it. But regardless, we'll need to get through. I see eight guards in the towers, two at the entrance and Wolf here tells me there were two more near the gate, meaning twelve in total.'
[23:47] Murska: 'Suggestions?'
[23:48] Happy: "I tried to ask Zubera for help, but we don't seem to be able to communicate. We can reach each other, but no message are getting through."
[23:49] Murska: 'Those guards seem to be simple spirits, weaker than Wolf but stronger than humans. But I'd put fighting as our very last option, we really don't want to do that.'
[23:50] Shadowcaller: Xavius: "Um, yeah. I don't enjoy fighting really."
[23:50] Murska: 'Sneaking past would be quite difficult aswell, what with the layout and those towers. Maybe a distraction of some sort.'
[23:51] Murska: 'Diplomacy doesn't seem to work on the guards, but maybe I should attempt to disturb Hakari again about it…'
[23:52] Shadowcaller: Suroshian: "If I had a sword I would be prepared to fight my way in… hm, can't we "ride" the wolf inside that temple without getting discovered?"
[23:53] Happy: "Is that possible?"
[23:53] Shadowcaller: /It might… I'm not sure how warded this place is./
[23:55] Murska: /Hmm. Against mortals from this side… but then, it's probably a rather old and probably well-protected place, what with it's importance. I don't understand the whole rule of not letting mortals pass from this side but I'd imagine something stronger than those guards would be enforcing it. Of course, if the main protection would be Hakari and he's now preoccupied…/ Aegnor, again, speaks this
[23:55] Murska: aswell
[23:56] Happy: "What would happen if it were warded against us?"
[23:57] Shadowcaller: /They would notice me I guess. And then block me…/
[23:57] Happy: "And then you wouldn't be allowed to pass, even without us?"
[23:58] Murska: 'Diplomacy first, then try sneaking in, right? The other way around tends to be somewhat more difficult.'
[23:58] Shadowcaller: "Yes, I'm afraid so."
[23:59] Shadowcaller: *

[23:59] Shadowcaller: ¨Suroshian: "So, how do we sneak in then? Magic?"
[00:00] Murska: @Hakari: /Could you tell the guards to let us pass, so we wouldn't have to bother you again?/
[00:00] Shadowcaller: You are blocked
[00:01] Shadowcaller: You sense some type of barrier blocking you
[00:01] Murska: 'Diplomacy, check. Infiltration, then.'
[00:02] Happy: "How?"
[00:03] Murska: 'Let's see…' Aegnor idly plays with the ring in his finger.
[00:03] Shadowcaller: (You got a ring?)
[00:03] Murska: (The one with which I can talk to the spirits?)
[00:04] Shadowcaller: (Oh right.)
[00:05] Shadowcaller: Xavius: "We could of course use my magic… I mean, if nothing else work."
[00:05] Shadowcaller: "Sure, its still in its experimental stage, but I'm quite sure it will work."
[00:06] Murska: 'Maybe you could create a distraction here for us to pass?'
[00:06] Shadowcaller: "What type of distraction? I doubt those guards are very intrested in things."
[00:06] Shadowcaller: "At all."
[00:07] Murska: 'Hm. I see only two of them at the entrance, and we have three mortals here. What do they do if we try to enter through different spots?' *smile*
[00:08] Shadowcaller: "How do you mean?"
[00:09] Murska: 'It's nothing. In any case… Do we have any way of checking how much the place is warded?'
[00:10] Shadowcaller: "Not what I know of."
[00:11] Shadowcaller: "You know any magic?"
[00:11] Murska: 'Nothing of that kind.'
[00:12] Happy: "I can sometimes smell it. The Yokai Wolf probably can too."
[00:12] Shadowcaller: /I can attempt to./
[00:13] Shadowcaller: Yokai wolf smells in the air
[00:14] Shadowcaller: *sniffs
[00:14] Shadowcaller: /Yes.. the place reeks of spirit magic./
[00:15] Shadowcaller: /Strongly warded…/
[00:16] Happy: "Any weak places?"
[00:16] Shadowcaller: /Not what I can sense./
[00:17] Happy: "I know you don't like to use the flute, but it seems preferable to fighting our way in."
[00:18] Murska: Aegnor falls silent for a while, then sighs.
[00:18] Murska: He procures the flute from his clothing. 'No other way?'
[00:19] Happy: "Or charm them with another concert."
[00:20] Murska: 'I somehow doubt they'd care.'
[00:20] Shadowcaller: /I concur, these spirits are strong in mind./
[00:21] Shadowcaller: /Guardian spirits, they don't have any form so they need these armors to be able to interact at all./
[00:22] Shadowcaller: /Maybe we can just run in?…/
[00:25] Murska: Aegnor gives a little smile at the thought of the gate being protected by strong wards and spirit guards but not against someone just running in.
[00:25] Shadowcaller: Xavius: "You mentioned a flute?"
[00:26] Murska: Aegnor is holding it in his hand at the moment. :P
[00:26] Shadowcaller: (Eh.)
[00:26] Shadowcaller: "So.. this flute can controll minds?"
[00:27] Murska: Aegnor gives him a look. 'It's more likely to destroy the mind of the one playing it.'
[00:28] Shadowcaller: "I see… would be useful thought."
[00:28] Shadowcaller: "Don't you agree?"
[00:29] Happy: "If you just suggested to them that they walk away for a while… long enough for us to enter."
[00:31] Shadowcaller: "Well, whatever works for you."
[00:32] Shadowcaller: "Why are you so worried about the flute anyway?"
[00:33] Shadowcaller: "Seems quite useful to me."
[00:33] Murska: 'I don't expect /you/ to understand.'
[00:33] Happy: "So you wouldn't mind having your mind controlled then?"
[00:34] Shadowcaller: "No, in some situations… its better then death right?"
[00:35] Shadowcaller: *but in some situations
[00:38] Happy: "I would not want to kill a guardian spirit without cause."
[00:38] Shadowcaller: "We have a cuase."
[00:38] Murska: 'Just don't…' Aegnor turns towards the entrance. 'Well, better try it if we have to.'
[00:39] Shadowcaller: "Go ahead."
[00:41] Happy: "We don't have cause to kill them."
[00:43] Murska: Aegnor walks towards the guards, flute in hand.
[00:44] Happy: Promise walks beside him.
[00:44] Murska: 'Isn't there any way you'd let us pass?'
[00:44] Shadowcaller: "We do not allow mortals to pass."
[00:44] Murska: 'Why?'
[00:45] Shadowcaller: "It is out orders."
[00:45] Shadowcaller: *our
[00:46] Murska: Aegnor motions for Promise to back away, assuming he knows to cover his ears.
[00:47] Shadowcaller: Xavius and Suroshian covers their ears, the wolf simply shuts down his hearing
[00:47] Happy: Promise backs away and covers his ears.
[00:48] Shadowcaller: "Please, move along mortal."
[00:49] Murska: Aegnor starts playing the flute, picking a well-known song from around the Tree often played by travelling performers. It isn't anything special and it's easy to play, he doesn't really have his heart in it.
[00:49] Shadowcaller: He plays the music
[00:49] Murska: Ayup, he does.
[00:50] Murska: After a bit, he stops. 'As I said earlier, we aren't really mortals, right?'
[00:51] Shadowcaller: "Perhaps."
[00:51] Murska: 'So why not allow us to pass?'
[00:51] Shadowcaller: "…I guess we would."
[00:52] Murska: Aegnor motions for the others to come over.
[00:52] Shadowcaller: /Hm, we better hurry, I can already feel the effect fading./
[00:52] Happy: We come over!
[00:52] Murska: /Two more guards to go…/
[00:52] Happy: We enter?
[00:52] Murska: Aegnor heads in quickly.
[00:53] Shadowcaller: The others follow
[00:53] Shadowcaller: You go throught a long corridor until at last come to a great hall
[00:53] Shadowcaller: In the middle of the room is something that only can be the gate itself
[00:54] Shadowcaller: As you enter the hall, you can see a great figure some distance away from it. It appears to be in deep conmcentration, aiming all its concentration on the gate.
[00:55] Shadowcaller: (Link:
[00:56] Shadowcaller: The gate itself is shimmering in blue, it is the dominating feature of the room
[00:57] Shadowcaller: On each side of it are floating suits of armor, dwarfed by the sheer size of the gate they are guarding
[00:58] Murska: 'Rush in or risk the flute making Hakari notice us?' Aegnor whispers to the others.
[00:59] Shadowcaller: Xavius: "Oka if I just enter the gate?"
[00:59] Shadowcaller: *Okay
[01:00] Happy: "Rush in" Promise whispers
[01:01] Murska: Aegnor hides the flute on him again after giving it a short look.
[01:01] Murska: /The wards didn't activate on us entering, so maybe if you helped us rush in more quickly we'd be more likely to make it past the guards?/
[01:01] Shadowcaller: /Yes, lets mkae a run for it./
[01:01] Shadowcaller: *make
[01:02] Murska: Aaand I guess they do, then. :P
[01:02] Happy: Run! Run like the wind!
[01:02] Shadowcaller: So, the Yokai wolf enters first, then Xavius then Aegnor…
[01:02] Shadowcaller: But as Aegnor steps through the gate you can hear a deep voice behind you scream, “No, don’t do it!”

But it’s too late, the gate suddenly flash before Promises eyes and is gone. Promise can feel something lifting him by his chest hair and time slows down around him. Before him stands Hikari lifting Promise above the ground, holy light surrounding him.

[01:03] Murska: So called it. Though I imagined Suroshian'd make it.
[01:03] Happy: Poor Promise :(
[01:03] Happy: I miss Wolfie :(
[01:03] Shadowcaller: (Suroshian did.P)

[01:03] Happy: How long has it been?
[01:03] Shadowcaller: “Fool! You and your companions have just ensured the doom of both of our worlds!”

“You can’t even begin to imagine what you set emotion this day. Go to the tower of sins in the western region of the swamp of sorrows. There you will find the gate to the deep realm opened before you.
[01:04] Shadowcaller: “Now run, take the stone and run!”

Time speeds up again and all around him Promise can see how nightmarish /things/ (which is the only word Promise can use to describe them) materializes out of thin air.

[01:04] Shadowcaller: Hikari uses his long tendril-like wings to meet up the closest thing, searing it with his shining sword. The thing utters something incomprehensible that might or might not be a scream and disappears once again. But more things are already emerging all around Hikari…
[01:05] Happy: The stone?
[01:05] Shadowcaller: Well, he gave Promise a stone
[01:05] Happy: I guess Promise takes the stone and runs then…
[01:06] Happy: :(
[01:06] Murska: and I guess that's a good spot to stop. After all, we saved the world a couple times, destroying it is only our right
[01:06] Shadowcaller: (also, for got to add this part)
[01:06] Shadowcaller: You must find courage to step through that gate Promise. Take this stone to the deepest part of it, there you will find the core where it can be used to stabilize the gate. “
[01:06] Murska: Hm. Aegnor should've been the one to go, he's been there. :P
[01:07] Shadowcaller: Well, he entered the gate first, it was he who made it close really
[01:07] Shadowcaller: See why mortals aren't allowed to enter?:P
[01:07] Murska: Well, there might be other ways to the mortal realm but for some reason nobody bothered to tell us of any. :P
[01:08] Happy: Or they gave us ways that either didn't work or sounded like the plot of a porn movie
[01:08] Shadowcaller: No, due the wizards manupulating the gates energies, all other exits were closed
[01:08] Murska: Anyhow, Suroshian is a mortal
[01:08] Shadowcaller: (Well, it closed exaclty behind Aegnor.)
[01:08] Shadowcaller: It could take one mortal apperntly
[01:09] Shadowcaller: Then it collapsed
[01:09] Shadowcaller: Hikari were concentrating all his energies keeping the gate open
[01:09] Happy: So Suroshian made it or didn't make it?
[01:09] Shadowcaller: He made it
[01:10] Happy: that's two mortals, by my count
[01:10] Murska: And we appear in front of the wizards trying to close it? :P
[01:10] Shadowcaller: Or maybe not…
[01:10] Happy: unless the brain fog has gotten me
[01:10] Murska: Maybe he was sliced in two by it closing
[01:10] Murska: :P
[01:10] Shadowcaller: Ouch
[01:11] Shadowcaller: Well, not you might have ensured the doom of both the spirit world and the mortal realm, congratulations

[01:11] Murska: Thanks. :)
[01:11] Shadowcaller: *now
[01:11] Murska: From the ashes shall something better emerge.
[01:11] Shadowcaller: I doubt that
[01:11] Murska: Well, if nature dies then Magic'll die
[01:11] Murska: and be eaten by something else
[01:11] Murska: it might be better
[01:12] Shadowcaller: Eh, only nothingness
[01:12] Shadowcaller: The mother is attempting to awaken her son
[01:12] Shadowcaller: Which would be the dreamer
[01:13] Happy: so we need to keep the dancer dancing
[01:13] Happy: So where does Aegnor emerge?
[01:13] Shadowcaller: Near his beloved actually
[01:14] Murska: The gate seems like somewhat of a weakness in the structure of Magic. I guess evolution hasn't gotten rid of that just yet, or we got a defective being of creation.
[01:14] Shadowcaller: And so dose the rest of them
[01:14] Shadowcaller: Well, the spirits divided the world into two efter the mother invaded the dream
[01:15] Shadowcaller: One for her children and one for the dreams protectors, AKA the spirits
[01:15] Happy: … and you wonder why you're always the one who has to GM
[01:15] Murska: :P
[01:15] Shadowcaller: >.>
[01:15] Shadowcaller: Now, with the connection between the two realms gone, both worlds are weakening
[01:16] Shadowcaller: Which allowes the true children of the mother to enter the spirit realm
[01:16] Shadowcaller: *allows
