Kyou 20

[17:37] Happy: Aegnor, Promise, and Hope awaken early, their senses attuned to the activity of villagers outside. Cessie probably sleeps through that.
[17:39] Shadowcaller: Cessie is sleeping then
[17:40] Murska: Aegnor wakes up holding her, and doesn't want to leave.
[17:40] Wolfbane: Promsie wakes up and smiles contentedly at Hope.
[17:40] Wolfbane: Promise*
[17:40] Happy: Hope snuggles close. Promise can feel sensation in his arm, though it's still not back to normal.
[17:41] Shadowcaller: (Snuggle whole game eh?)
[17:42] Murska: okay, skip to next day. :P
[17:42] Happy: Both huts will have knockings on doors soon. :P
[17:43] Wolfbane: Promsie puts his arm around her and nuzzles her. "We should probably get up, but I really want to lay here with you.
[17:45] Happy: "That would be nice," Hope agrees, and hears knocking on the door. She gets up and answers it.
[17:45] Happy: At the other hut, there's also knocking.
[17:45] Happy: Freedom is at Hope and Promise's hut, bringing breakfast. "How is your condition?" she asks Promise.
[17:46] Shadowcaller: "Uhhh…" Cessie blinks a few times
[17:46] Wolfbane: Promise sits up slowly and tries to move his arm. "Much better, thank you."
[17:49] Happy: His arm moves, but it's still pretty weak. "I'm afraid you going to need another draught of my lovely liver boosting tea before breakfast," Hope says, as she builds up the fire.
[17:49] Happy: *knock knock knock* continues at the other hut. (Is Starcraft happening now? :P)
[17:50] Wolfbane: Promise falls back and graons sarcastically.
[17:50] Murska: (Starcraft isn't happening yet, a heated debate between myself and Trixie is)
[17:50] Murska: ( really annoying person)
[17:51] Wolfbane: (In which game?)
[17:51] Murska: Aegnor kisses Cessie, slips out of bed, puts on some clothing and goes answer the door.
[17:51] Murska: (WoD)
[17:51] Wolfbane: (*goes to check*)
[17:52] Murska: ('we can win this game with you or without you, we're much better than you and in a couple days, we've already won, now piss off with your requests of villagers working together')
[17:52] Murska: (over PM)
[17:52] Wolfbane: (Did he say that?)
[17:52] Murska: (not with those words, but pretty much)
[17:52] Shadowcaller: (o.O)
[17:53] Shadowcaller: (Is he even in contact with the masons?)
[17:53] Happy: Simone is at the door, bearing breakfast and smiling cheerfully. "Good morning, Mr Aegnor!" she says in elvish.
[17:53] Shadowcaller: Cessie is much slower, holding the sheets close to her body as she tries to find her clothes
[17:53] Murska: (He isn't)
[17:54] Happy: (Probably not, since Mordy trusted Murska, and Trixie doesn't.)
[17:54] Murska: 'Morning, Simone.'
[17:54] Shadowcaller: (We can speak freely due Happy is a mason and Wolfy is the co-narrator and mebeing dead…)
[17:54] Shadowcaller: *be being
[17:54] Shadowcaller: *me being…
[17:54] Shadowcaller: (-a lot of other misstakes I did there.)
[17:55] Happy: (Oh, right. You ded)
[17:55] Happy: (As far as I know, Trix doesn't know the other masons.)
[17:55] Shadowcaller: Cessie mutters something to herself as Simone enters and tries to cover herself as much as possible
[17:55] Happy: (Simone doesn't enter unless she's invited.)
[17:56] Happy: "The trial will be soon. Will you be well enough to testify?" Freedom asks Promise.
[17:57] Wolfbane: He sits back up. "It is up to Hope really."
[17:57] Happy: "I'll need to check you over again, but now that you aren't in imminent risk of death, it should be fine," Hope says, with a tight smile. She hadn't let him know how worried she'd been.
[17:58] Happy: "I am to tell you that trial is soon," she says in elvish, then returns to common. "Did I saying it right?"
[17:58] Murska: 'Yeah, that was very good.' Aegnor smiles. 'I envy your talent.'
[17:58] Wolfbane: Promise nods. "I guess we will have to see when the time comes."
[18:00] Happy: "I having to ask Gilraen how to say it," Simone says. "Elvish not so easy as Western Common. Can I come in?"
[18:00] Murska: Aegnor looks at Cessie to see if she's ready.
[18:01] Shadowcaller: She is not
[18:02] Murska: 'In a moment.'
[18:02] Happy: "Okay. I being back soon." She hands him the food and scampers off.
[18:03] Murska: Aegnor takes the food inside and closes the door.
[18:03] Shadowcaller: She tries to fix her hair a bit after pulling on the dress
[18:03] Happy: Hope makes another vile tasting infusion for Promise to drink, and lets him have breakfast before examining him.
[18:04] Happy: She puts her ear to his chest, and hearing that his heart sounds much stronger than yesterday, is greatly relieved.
[18:05] Murska: Aegnor eats his breakfast quickly, managing to do that while pulling on all his sheathes and holsters and assorted pieces of clothing.
[18:05] Murska: (Hmm. I'm a bit unsure on that point, by the way)
[18:05] Murska: (Is it right to say, in that situation… 'She puts her ear to his chest, and, hearing that his heart sounds…')
[18:05] Murska: (as in, the other comma)
[18:06] Happy: ((They changed the rules on commas since I was in school, so you're probably right.))
[18:06] Murska: (I have no idea, I just add commas where I feel they fit. :P)
[18:07] Happy: His wound has healed more than one night's rest accounts for. She tests his strength and grip (both extremely weak) and feels the muscles. "You are fit for extremely light duty, soldier."
[18:08] Shadowcaller: Cessie eats slowly, absent-mindedly looking into the wall
[18:08] Wolfbane: Promise pulls her close to him and smiles. "What all would that entail?"
[18:09] Happy: "Walking, but not running. Hugging, but not dancing. Talking, but not singing."
[18:09] Murska: Aegnor, all ready now, sits next to Cessie. 'What're you thinking?'
[18:11] Shadowcaller: She turns to you "Oh, just about the future, about us… and the trail."
[18:14] Wolfbane: "Well, I wouldn't want to run right now, and I have a horrible singing voice, but dancing? What will I do now?"
[18:14] Murska: (trial -.-)
[18:15] Murska: (:P)
[18:15] Murska: 'Quite a large topic.'
[18:15] Shadowcaller: *sorry, I was too concentrated on WoD too notice >,>)
[18:17] Shadowcaller: "My head is a mess… as you might know already" *half-smile*
[18:18] Happy: "Sit there and look pretty, I imagine," Hope says, and starts combing his mane.
[18:19] Murska: 'Well, it was much tidier than mine.'
[18:19] Wolfbane: "I believe that you are by far my superior at the beauty part."
[18:21] Shadowcaller: "Oh, you will never fully understand the mind of a wizard Aegnor… but what is you option of the trial?"
[18:22] Murska: 'He deserves worse than he will be given, I would bet.'
[18:23] Happy: Hope blushes, and continues her work on his mane. When she is finished, she tidies up her own braids, and changes into her most formal (that is, most Cessie-style) clothing.
[18:24] Shadowcaller: (Hope in a dress? o.O)
[18:24] Shadowcaller: "I'm sure the villagers will give him the punishment he deserves, but I still don't think he should be put to death."
[18:24] Happy: (Not quite a dress. More like a long tunic and trousers.)
[18:25] Wolfbane: ( brb I have to get breakfast)
[18:26] Shadowcaller: (I see. Cessie always dresses in a full cover dress.)
[18:27] Happy: (Yeah, but Hope couldn't fight in a dress)
[18:28] Shadowcaller: She appears ready to go
[18:29] Wolfbane: (Have a few more minutes)
[18:29] Happy: Promise and Hope finish getting ready, and head for the town center, where the trial is being held. People are gathering there.
[18:30] Shadowcaller: "Well, lets go then." She positions herself near the door, waiting for Aegnor
[18:30] Wolfbane: (Okay, now I have to go, brb)
[18:31] Murska: 'Sure.' They open the door and step outside.
[18:33] Happy: And everyone arrives in the town center. And since I am now hungry, I will brb too. Talk amongst yourselves again. :P
[18:33] Shadowcaller: (Brb, need to eat >.>)
[18:33] Shadowcaller: (too)
[18:35] Murska: Aegnor looks around at everyone else going away and sighs, then brbs aswell.
[18:43] Happy: is back
[18:54] Happy: At the top of the small hill that the villagers use as a stage on such occasions, there is a small table with three women sitting at it: Gilraen, Freedom, and an illusory Helena. The prisoner, in chains, and closely guarded by several men, has a seat in front of them. He looks frightened and sleep deprived, but doesn't seem to have suffered any abuse at the hands of his captors. Aegnor will probably notice that none of the guards are relatives of the children.
[18:58] Wolfbane: back
[18:58] Wolfbane: With the 3lbs of gummy bears and a pack of beef jerky
[19:01] Shadowcaller: (back.)
[19:02] Shadowcaller: (they got chains?)
[19:04] Happy: Dal is there, his mother apparently stopping him from joining the other children in play.
[19:04] Shadowcaller: Cessie stays close to Aegnor and waits for the trial to begin
[19:04] Murska: Aegnor goes wherever he thinks they're supposed to go based on the positioning of, well, everyone.
[19:05] Murska: (nooo… Smashed… poor Turtle :()
[19:05] Happy: (I couldn't resist questioning…)
[19:06] Murska: (I would avenge you, but you know… I already stood up for you today and I can't favor you too much.)
[19:08] Happy: There doesn't seem to be any particular place to go. Only the defendant and the priestesses have chairs. Everyone else sits on the ground or stands. Simone emerges from the crowd and goes to stand with the group to act as translator.
[19:10] Happy: After a bit more milling around, Helena stands. "The trial will now begin. The wizard Seren is accused of kidnapping 5 children and injuring a sixth with the intention of selling them into slavery. Defendant, how do you plead?"
[19:10] Happy: Seren stands and sullenly replies, "I've broken no laws, and this is not a legal court. Not guilty."
[19:11] Shadowcaller: Cessie facepalms
[19:11] Wolfbane: Promise squeezes Hope's shoulder gently. "Are you sure it is a good idea for me to be here?" He whispers.
[19:12] Happy: "What do you mean?" Hope asks.
[19:13] Wolfbane: "I can already feel myself getting angry. Will that help the poison, or is the poison too weak now?"
[19:15] Happy: "It's okay if your heart rate goes up a bit," Hope whispers back.
[19:16] Happy: Freedom: "Dal, will you tell us what you saw?"
[19:18] Happy: Dal starts to hop forward, when his mother puts her arm around him and helps him forward without all the silly hopping. Dal's voice is amplified by Helena so that everyone can hear, and he tells about the sleep spell and the arrow.
[19:18] Shadowcaller: Cessie already knows all this, but listens closely
[19:21] Wolfbane: Promise listens to the story and stays near Hope.
[19:21] Happy: The boy testifies in Kyou common, which is translated by Simone.
[19:22] Murska: Aegnor listens quietly, stone-faced.
[19:23] Happy: Freedom asks if Seren wishes to question the witness. He declines.
[19:24] Happy: In Cessie's head: /My death is on your hands./
[19:25] Happy: "Promise, please tell us what you know," Gilraen says.
[19:25] Shadowcaller: /My hands are clean, I wish to defend you, but you have no faith for these people so there is little I can say to convince you./
[19:26] Happy: /What do you want me to say?/ his mental voice is pleading.
[19:26] Wolfbane: Promise stands up and tells how they followed the trail to find Del, backtracked it to find the slavers, and what happened in the fight.
[19:27] Shadowcaller: /Try to defend yourself the best way you can, I cna hardly free you now if thats what you think./
[19:27] Shadowcaller: *can
[19:28] Happy: /My only defense is that my actions are not illegal in Hyrillia./
[19:29] Shadowcaller: /They would be illegal in many other places, like here, you can't use your law here./
[19:29] Happy: /Then what should I say?/
[19:30] Happy: Again, Seren does not question Promise. Aegnor is called next.
[19:31] Shadowcaller: /Tell them why you did it, tell them your reasons, maybe they will show a tiny bit of understanding then. Show them that you are a victim of your own societies narrow views, thats what I would do at least./
[19:31] Murska: Aegnor tells everything he knows, mostly just complementing what Promise said.
[19:32] Wolfbane: Promise goes back and sits next to Hope.
[19:34] Happy: Cessie is called next.
[19:35] Shadowcaller: She stands up and asks if she needs to tell anything more specific or just retell the same story as Promise and Aegnor
[19:36] Happy: "We'd like you to tell how you captured the defendant, and anything you've learned from him since then."
[19:38] Shadowcaller: She tells them about how she got attacked and then about the short magical fight that followed with him surrendering and her casting hold person on him
[19:39] Shadowcaller: Then about how they took him back to the village
[19:39] Shadowcaller: And how she mind probed him and learned about his name, his proffesion and his reasons of doing what he did
[19:40] Shadowcaller: "Is that all you need to know?"
[19:42] Happy: "Yes, thank you. Defendant, do you have any questions for the witness?"
[19:42] Happy: Seren stands. "Yes, I do. "
[19:42] Shadowcaller: "Go ahead." Cessie nods
[19:42] Happy: "If I were tried under a Hyrillian court, what would the verdict be?"
[19:43] Shadowcaller: "Non-guilty."
[19:43] Shadowcaller: *not
[19:43] Happy: "And if I were tried under the courts of your homeland, what would the verdict be?"
[19:44] Shadowcaller: "Guilty."
[19:44] Happy: "And the punishment?"
[19:44] Shadowcaller: "I can't tell, years of impisonment most likely."
[19:45] Happy: "Would death be a possibility?"
[19:45] Shadowcaller: "No, it would not."
[19:45] Murska: ('there is no death penalty in my homeland' not coming up?‘)
[19:46] Shadowcaller: (I’m just aswering the questions here.)
[19:46] Shadowcaller: (As neutral as possible.)
[19:46] Murska: (Well, that answer sort of implies that death would be a possibility in other cases.)
[19:48] Shadowcaller: (Well, she assumed such a question would come later, she can add that later anyhow.)
[19:48] Happy: "I have no more questions." He sits down again.
[19:48] Shadowcaller: "Um, I wish to add that death would not be a acceptable punishment in my homeland."
[19:49] Shadowcaller: "Is there anything else?"
[19:52] Happy: "Do you think I deserve death?"
[19:53] Shadowcaller: "No, I don't."
[19:54] Wolfbane: (What language is this in?)
[19:54] Murska: (Kyou-an and common being translated, I assume)
[19:56] Happy: (Yes )
[19:56] Happy: (The villagers speak Kyouan, and Simone is translating for the party)
[19:57] Wolfbane: Promise tries to keep his emotions neutral and squeezes Hope's hand gently.
[19:58] Shadowcaller: "He deserves to be punished, severely, but not death."
[19:59] Happy: The priestesses ask if anyone else would like to speak. The parents ask if they can, but they are turned down since they saw none of the events directly.
[20:00] Murska: Aegnor fights with himself a bit and then decides to stay quiet, for now.
[20:01] Wolfbane: Promise also stays quiet.
[20:02] Shadowcaller: "I'm done then?"
[20:02] Happy: "Unless you have anything else you'd like to say," the priestess says. "If not, the defendant may speak for himself."
[20:03] Shadowcaller: "No, there is nothing I would like to add right now, I have said everything I came up here for."
[20:05] Shadowcaller: She sits down again
[21:36] Happy: Seren stands up to defend himself.
[21:38] Happy: (Is Cessie mind probing him while he talks?)
[21:38] Shadowcaller: (If thats what she is supposed to do.)
[21:40] Shadowcaller: (She won't do it just beacuse.)
[21:40] Happy: (I thought that's what she suggested)
[21:40] Shadowcaller: (Then she do it.)
[21:46] Happy: "I shouldn't have done it. I realize that. But it wasn't against the law where I come from."
[21:46] Happy: "I don't want to die."
[21:47] Murska: ('you realize it' yeah right, now that you're caught you do)
[21:47] Shadowcaller: (He seems to take Cessies advice a bit too literary)
[21:48] Happy: At this, Dal's mom bursts out "You almost killed my son, you bastard!" "Mother!" Dal hisses, embarrassed.
[21:49] Shadowcaller: Cessie continues to mind probe him, seeing if the thing he just said was true
[21:51] Happy: Yes, he believes he shouldn't have done it, more because of the getting caught than because of genuine remorse, though he's starting to feel a little uneasy about that, now that he sees so many free wolfen and elves together.
[21:51] Happy: He very truly and sincerely does not want to die
[21:53] Shadowcaller: "He speaks the truth… in a way."
[21:53] Happy: "It is the truth!" he protests.
[21:54] Shadowcaller: "Well yes… techincally it is."
[21:54] Shadowcaller: *Technically
[21:55] Shadowcaller: *very low voice* "But for the wrong reasons…"
[21:56] Happy: "Please explain," Gilraen says to Cessie.
[21:58] Shadowcaller: "He feels he should not have done it, but mostly since he was caught doing it, but he actually feels a bit guilty for the right reason too."
[22:04] Happy: /Of course I wish I hadn't been caught. Wouldn't anyone?/
[22:04] Shadowcaller: /Well, I did mentione you feel guilty for the right reasons too./
[22:04] Shadowcaller: *mention
[22:08] Happy: "I don't know what else to say," he finally mumbles, and sits down again.
[22:09] Shadowcaller: "He did feel guilty…"
[22:10] Happy: Gilraen: "You admit that you kidnapped the children?"
[22:10] Murska: /Well, it's not like he can dispute it…)
[22:10] Murska: */
[22:11] Happy: "Yes," he says, barely audible. "And that you would have sold them as slaves?" This time he just nods.
[22:12] Happy: "Then the verdict is guilty. The customary sentence under Reorn for this crime was death. Would anyone like to say anything in favour of or against a sentence of death?"
[22:13] Shadowcaller: "I would." Cessie says with a bit hesitation
[22:14] Happy: "Go ahead."
[22:17] Shadowcaller: "Death is a very cruel punishment. The idea with a punishment is that its supposed to make the person itself and other people not wanting to do the crime. But in this case it won't do that. There will still be slavers raiding you and you would have taken a mortal life."
[22:18] Shadowcaller: "I say you should try to get as far away from Reorns rules as possible, he was a fantic god that had no moral qualms about killing counless of people."
[22:19] Shadowcaller: "Instead, I say you send him to a prison I belive Helena could fix."
[22:19] Shadowcaller: *belive
[22:20] Shadowcaller: "You should reform your rules, if you can afford it, you should be better then the ones hunting you."
[22:21] Shadowcaller: "You don't wan tto lower yourself to their level right?"
[22:21] Shadowcaller: *to
[22:21] Shadowcaller: "…I'm done."
[22:25] Happy: "Thank you. Is there anyone else?"
[22:26] Shadowcaller: /I doubt it…/ (to herself)
[22:26] Wolfbane: Promise keeps quiet.
[22:26] Murska: (Starcraft is started.)
[22:27] Murska: Aegnor deems death the most efficient way for the villagers to handle this, since leaving him as a cripple or torturing him to death isn't an option, which would be more suitable punishment for being a slaver.
[22:27] Murska: But is quiet.
[22:29] Happy: Several of the parents speak passionately, though not eloquently, in favour of death.
[22:30] Shadowcaller: Cessie remains quiet, but disagrees on well, apperently everyone else opinion
[22:31] Happy: Two young adult elves speak out against death, for the reasons Cessie said.
[22:31] Happy: Their opinion doesn't seem very popular.
[22:34] Shadowcaller: (I guess this is it then, I could come with more arguments, but the player don't feel the plot have to move on.)
[22:35] Wolfbane: brb, dinner
[22:35] Happy: Seren looks miserable and afraid.
[22:36] Shadowcaller: /Its still the priestess that makes the verdict./
[22:36] Happy: He doesn't answer.
[22:37] Happy: Dal is fidgetting, and he finally says, "But he's a wizard. Shouldn't we make him teach us stuff instead of killing him?"
[22:38] Shadowcaller: "Thats a very good idea…"
[22:39] Happy: Freedom: "How could we trust him? We can't afford to keep a guard on him day and night."
[22:40] Shadowcaller: (Hm, I can't make up a block magic thing without hurting myself >.>)
[22:40] Happy: (He couldn't train anyone as a wizard if his magic was blocked.)
[22:41] Shadowcaller: (He could, the only thing he needs to know how to do it, it would be like Aegnor without a instrument to play on.)
[22:42] Shadowcaller: (Or being able to sing.)
[22:42] Happy: (You can teach an instrument without demonstrating it?)
[22:42] Happy: (And I'm bumping the Kyou thread for you)
[22:42] Shadowcaller: (Yay!)
[22:42] Happy: (Hopefully Talic isn't still online -.-)
[22:43] Shadowcaller: (Hehe.)
[22:44] Shadowcaller: (I still remember "return of the dragons" wizard slaves >.>)
[22:44] Happy: (Doesn't know what you are talking about)
[22:45] Shadowcaller: (Damn, I meant the wheel of time.)
[22:45] Happy: (never read that one either)
[22:45] Shadowcaller: (you haven't? o.O)
[22:45] Happy: (anyway, still waiting for Cessie's answer)
[22:45] Shadowcaller: (The sword of truth then?)
[22:46] Shadowcaller: "Well… can't Helena do something with him?"
[22:46] Shadowcaller: "Really, Dal might not be the only wizard here."
[22:47] Happy: /A geas? Could you cast it?/ Seren asks Cessie, sounding quite pathetic as he clutches to any hope.
[22:49] Shadowcaller: /That… no yet, sorry, but I might have another way./
[22:49] Shadowcaller: "Helena, can you cast a geas? Or can you contact a god that can?"
[22:51] Happy: "Perhaps. Can you explain what a geas is, for the benefit of the priestesses and the village?"
[22:52] Shadowcaller: "A geas is a powerful magical way of making someone keeping any deal they agree on."
[22:52] Shadowcaller: "Its often used to control people."
[22:52] Happy: "Like slavery?" someone says, in disgust.
[22:53] Murska: (Enslaving the slaver. Good idea.)
[22:53] Shadowcaller: "Well, the person must agree on it of course, if the terms are good, there would not be anywhere near slavery."
[22:56] Wolfbane: back
[23:00] Happy: This causes a lot of talking amongst the villagers, as they sort though what this might mean.
[23:00] Shadowcaller: Cessie waits for them to make a decesion
[23:01] Wolfbane: "Well, this is Irony." Promise whispers to Hope.
[23:04] Happy: "I guess in this case, I don't mind a geas so much," Hope whispers back.
[23:05] Shadowcaller: "We will still need someone to cast it.." Cessie says, mostly to herself
[23:06] Happy: A few more people speak, some still wanting death, but others in favour of the geas idea. A few people oppose it because they don't believe it's right to keep slaves.
[23:07] Happy: Finally the priestesses reach a decision.
[23:07] Happy: (Yay! DC's going to find players for us :))
[23:08] Shadowcaller: (So I have noticed.)
[23:10] Shadowcaller: (I heck that thread more then nessecary >.>)
[23:10] Happy: The priestesses stand. "We must consider the seriousness of the crime. Had the abduction been successful, these children would have been raised in a life of misery, with the families left behind possibly never learning what became of their beloveds."
[23:10] Shadowcaller: *check
[23:13] Happy: "Death to all slavers has been our rule in the past, and it is a fair one. This man would have stolen the lives of these children. And we don't know how many he has sent into slavery before."
[23:17] Happy: "An option has been suggested that we use magical compulsion to make him into our slave. We do not wish to become slavers ourselves, so we reject the idea of lifelong enslavement. But we also cannot accept the possibility of an unrepentant slaver being freed in the future."
[23:20] Shadowcaller: (Bah, Simone is encahnted with it, if they pay him then?:P)
[23:20] Shadowcaller: *enchanted
[23:20] Happy: "So the sentence shall be, that the wizard known as Seren shall serve the village of Gallion under the terms of a geas until he can be proven by a mind probe to be wholly repentant and certain not to reoffend. He must also have served at least 18 years of service, three years for each child he tried to steal."
[23:20] Shadowcaller: Cessie nods, "That is fair."
[23:21] Shadowcaller: (Also, promise whisperied something to hope)
[23:21] Happy: (she answered him)
[23:21] Shadowcaller: (She did? Didn't notice…)
[23:22] Happy: Helena manifests, her illusion shifting to become her true form.
[23:23] Happy: "I have one other condition to add," Helena says. (the previous words had been spoken by Freedom)
[23:26] Shadowcaller: (And that is? *wall hanger*)
[23:26] Shadowcaller: *cliff hanger…
[23:27] Happy: (thinking of how to word it)
[23:28] Shadowcaller: (Hehe, I just write it no matter how bad it turns out in the end
I think I like your way better.)
[23:31] Happy: "This condition is for the people of Gallion. I understand there is a lot of anger in the village about what happened. I am angry too. I do not ask you to forgive Seren or even to accept him. But since I have accepted this form of punishment, he is now under my protection. Do not try to harm him."
[23:32] Shadowcaller: *to Helena* "I am proud of whats been done here today, this village have showed much more civilization then its human neighbours."
[23:32] Happy: She floats through the table to stand in front of Seren and touches him. Cessie can feel magic touching him.
[23:33] Happy: /I am surprised they decided such/ Helena says to Cessie.
[23:33] Murska: Aegnor mutters quietly. 'I guess this works.'
[23:33] Shadowcaller: /I'm glad they did, this is a sign of a advanced society./
[23:35] Happy: "The prisoner will remain in custody until we can arrange for a geas to be cast," Helena says. "This trial is concluded."
[23:36] Happy: And people begin talking and dispersing, some of them angry about the conclusion, some of them pleased with it, most of them simply accepting it.
[23:37] Happy: Helena de-manifests. /I am glad as well. I was not looking forward to performing an execution. It is not a role I've ever had to take before./
[23:38] Shadowcaller: /I can hardly say how glad I am… you will be a great god to these people."
[23:38] Shadowcaller: */
[23:38] Happy: /Now who can I find to perform the geas? I don't know how to do one./
[23:39] Shadowcaller: /Well, my brother can peform it, but I haven't seen him for a while…/
[23:39] Shadowcaller: /There is always other gods, but they might be a bit hard to convince./
[23:40] Happy: /Perhaps it is time I meet Helios. I won't need to convince him, will I? As long as I can pay him somehow?/
[23:40] Shadowcaller: /I suppose, I don't know what the prize of such a thing would be,/
[23:41] Happy: /He deals in knowledge, doesn't he?/
[23:41] Shadowcaller: /He dose, I made a few deals with him actually…/
[23:41] Shadowcaller: /He makes other deals aswell thought./
[23:42] Happy: /I'm sure as the eldest god, I know something he might find useful./
[23:42] Shadowcaller: /Aren't you the eldest god? Don't you know him somehow?/
[23:43] Happy: (She means that since she's the eldest god, she has knowledge he'll find useful)
[23:43] Shadowcaller: (Oh, okay.)
[23:43] Shadowcaller: (Scratch that then.)
[23:43] Shadowcaller: /I hope so./
[23:45] Happy: /Would you like to be there when I speak to him?/
[23:45] Shadowcaller: /I can do that?/
[23:46] Happy: /If I use the circle to speak to him, instead of calling him directly./
[23:46] Shadowcaller: /We really need to save that powder… maybe its best you just call him directly?/
[23:47] Happy: (You have a circle in the hut still, don't you?)
[23:47] Shadowcaller: (Right…)
[23:49] Shadowcaller: /We will do that then, I hope you can work something out./
[23:50] Happy: "I suppose this is fair. I imagine I would have felt differently if you had died yesterday," Hope says quietly.
[23:54] Wolfbane: Promise nuzzles her. "I have you. I'd never leave you alone."
[23:55] Wolfbane: (He doesn't care if people notice him and Hope)
[23:55] Shadowcaller: (Why would they care?)
[23:55] Happy: (Well they'd gotten in the habit of hiding it)
[23:55] Shadowcaller: (Right…)
[23:57] Happy: Helena also asks the rest of the party if they want to be there. And then her illusion walks to the hut
[23:58] Shadowcaller: Cessie follows of course
[23:58] Happy: So does Simone, very interested to meet Helios again.
[23:59] Wolfbane: "I don't care either way. I'm staying near you."
[00:00] Happy: Hope smiles. "I think I want to see it."
[00:01] Wolfbane: Promise smiles. He stands up and offers a paw to help Hope up.
[00:02] Happy: "Oh no you don't. No helping people up. Healer's orders."
[00:02] Wolfbane: "But you aren't just a person to me. You're more."
[00:03] Shadowcaller: (I'm sure your wounds will see it that way too^^)
[00:04] Murska: And Aegnor goes with Cessie.
[00:05] Happy: Hope gets up without putting any weight on Promise, and soon the party is gathered in the hut.
[00:07] Shadowcaller: "So, lets do this then."
[00:08] Happy: Helena steps up to the circle. "Helios, this is Helena, the eldest of the risen ones. May we speak?"
[00:09] Shadowcaller: Black smoke rises from the circle, two red eyes appears in the middle of it
[00:09] Shadowcaller: "So… you are the legendary Helena?"
[00:12] Happy: "Are there legends about me?" she asks, smiling. Her illusion is at its most beautiful.
[00:13] Shadowcaller: "You might not realize this, but we know each other, well you know a part of me that is." Helios tone is neutral
[00:13] Happy: "Do I?"
[00:15] Shadowcaller: "Nidas? Do the name feel familiar?"
[00:15] Happy: (does it?)
[00:15] Shadowcaller: (It was one of the gods the elves worshiped at that time, risen some time after Helena.)
[00:17] Shadowcaller: (So, yes she would feel it to be familiar.)
[00:18] Happy: "Indeed, I knew Nidas."
[00:19] Shadowcaller: "So you do remember? A part of me feel honored right now."
[00:19] Shadowcaller: *honoured
[00:21] Shadowcaller: "But I trust you wanted something? You have been outside the circle for quite some time, you might need to make some type of impression to the rest of the gods."
[00:23] Happy: "What sort of impression?"
[00:24] Shadowcaller: "Oh I don't know, every god is trying to be unique right? You got beauty or something, correct?"
[00:25] Happy: "Indeed. But that is not my primary concern. I have a people to protect now."
[00:27] Happy: Simone watches the conversation intently
[00:27] Shadowcaller: "Oh, but every god do something, even the small ones. I suppose Nega mgith think you try to steal her stick.."

Session Start (moc.evil|eltrutyppah-anit#moc.evil|eltrutyppah-anit:Group Conversation 28675): Sun May 03 00:29:43 2009
[00:29] * moc.liamtoh|700enabflow#moc.liamtoh|700enabflow (Wolfbane) has joined the conversation.
[00:30] Happy: [00:21] Shadowcaller: "But I trust you wanted something? You have been outside the circle for quite some time, you might need to make some type of impression to the rest of the gods."
[00:23] Happy: "What sort of impression?"
[00:23] *
Aegnor has left the conversation.
[00:24] Shadowcaller: "Oh I don't know, every god is trying to be unique right? You got beauty or something, correct?"
[00:25] Happy: "Indeed. But that is not my primary concern. I have a people to protect now."
[00:25] Wolfbane: (Did he drop?)
[00:26] Shadowcaller: (Seems so, he was not talking that much.)
[00:26] Happy: (I tried to add him back)
[00:27] Happy: (oh, now he's showing busy)
[00:27] Happy: Simone watches the conversation intently
[00:27] Wolfbane: (Starcraft is tonight for him)
[00:27] Shadowcaller: "Oh, but every god do something, even the small ones. I suppose Nega mgith think you try to steal her stick.."
[00:30] Shadowcaller: *might
[00:31] Happy: "I think my ba is hardly enough to threaten someone like Nega."
[00:31] Shadowcaller: "Its about followers, your favor is rather thin is it not? Beauty? Anything else?"
[00:35] Happy: "If you have Nidas's memories, then you remember that I was first the protector of my kingdom, who happened to be beautiful. It was only when my kingdom declined that my focus narrowed."
[00:37] Shadowcaller: "You need to broadened it then if you want to compete with the new types of gods… everything must change, everything needs to be reborn."
[00:37] Shadowcaller: "Tell me, how many gods do you think there are?"
[00:38] Happy: "I know of six, besides myself. I am sure there are many more."
[00:39] Shadowcaller: "There are of course, of all different races… many that would try to usurp your followers."
[00:40] Happy: "But do you really think the younger gods would resent my patronage of such a small village?"
[00:41] Shadowcaller: "I doubt the ones you heard about would, but there are smaller ones, like Cookiemanjaro or Vhees… now that would be amusing."
[00:41] Shadowcaller: "You need to protect whats yours, thats my tip to all new gods."
[00:46] Happy: "I intend too. These are my people now."
[00:46] Shadowcaller: "They might not ve for very long thought, you be suprised what gods can do to get followers…"
[00:47] Happy: "I requested an audience with you today because I have a favor to ask. I need a geas placed on a wizard."
[00:48] Shadowcaller: "Oh, boring stuff, very well Helena, what is your offer?"
[00:52] Happy: "I understand that you buy knowledge. Is there anything about my kingdom that you'd like to know?"
[00:53] Shadowcaller: "Something more specific perhaps? A geas is not exactly something you just give away."
[00:55] Happy: She smiles. "I understand you were quite interested in a certain orb."
[00:56] Shadowcaller: The eyes blinks for the first time during the entire conversation
[00:56] Shadowcaller: "Perhaps… what is this orb then?"
[00:58] Murska: (aww… Lost to Yak. :P)
[00:58] Murska: (But anyway, 2-1 and he's one of the better players of the group so I guess it's okay.)
[00:59] Happy: "The reason I'm still alive."
[00:59] Murska: (Selling that information for so cheap? :P)
[01:00] Shadowcaller: (well, he knows all this.)
[01:00] Shadowcaller: (Helios knows very much he don't let on.)
[01:00] Happy: (just trying to tempt him)
[01:00] Shadowcaller: "Of course, must be a very powerful magical item then?"
[01:02] Happy: "Yes. I wonder what would have become of me if your theft had succeeded? Would you have killed me?"
[01:04] Shadowcaller: "Theft? I have not the sligthest idea what you are talking about Helena, if I had known about a artifact that made you live as long as you have, don't you think I would have focused on it a bit more?"
[01:05] Happy: (Simone is *right there* :P)
[01:05] Shadowcaller: (So?)
[01:06] Murska: (Srsly. My Brute's totally wussed out on the last three levels)
[01:06] Murska: (Jedwiga beat him)
[01:06] Murska: (with three hits)
[01:06] Shadowcaller: (She saw a beautiful woman, this is black smoke.)
[01:06] Happy: (Simone knows who they are calling)
[01:07] Happy: (Jedwiga's gotten better)
[01:07] Shadowcaller: (Still, he can lie himself out of anything, like claiming it was another personallity of him acting and he don't control them.)
[01:08] Murska: (Well I noticed that at the point where she hit me the third time in a row for 66 damage with that hammer)
[01:08] Happy: (you beat me though :(_
[01:08] Murska: can't even see that, just got like a million battles at me at once
[01:08] Happy: (Yeah, he can /claim/ it but that don't mean it will be believed)
[01:08] Happy: (Link: http://happy-turtle.mybrute.com/fight/126270590)http://happy-turtle.mybrute.com/fight/126270590
[01:09] Murska: (My odds of beating you are pretty good since the only thing you have that can hurt me is the mace)
[01:09] Shadowcaller: (They know nothing of it, if I had never said that OOC, I'm sure you would have belived that.)
[01:10] Happy: (Huh? They would have believed that Helios didn't know about the theft even though Simone told them about it?)
[01:10] Shadowcaller: (Well, that it was another personallity of him acting invidually.)
[01:11] Happy: (Even if it's true, that doesn't mean they'll believe it)
[01:11] Happy: (Not unless he explains a lot more than he's probably willing to about how his split personalities work)
[01:11] Shadowcaller: (I'm sure you would have:P)
[01:12] Happy: (See above. Helena and Simone don't know he has split personalities, so why would they believe such a thing rather than believing that he's just telling a lie to cover his ass?)
[01:12] Shadowcaller: (He would give them a very detailed story about how they work.)
[01:12] Happy: (Then they might believe it)
[01:13] Happy: (But anyway… she doesn't challenge him now)
[01:14] Happy: /Cessie, would you be willing to take out Reorn's orb to let Helios see it, please?"/
[01:14] Shadowcaller: /Sure…/
[01:14] Shadowcaller: She dose so
[01:15] Shadowcaller: The eyes appears drawn to it
[01:16] Happy: "If Cessie agrees, I can let you examine this for a day. You will need to return it undamaged, and share with both me and Cessie everything you learn about it. In addition to casting the geas, of course."
[01:18] Shadowcaller: "A day? I can learn all about it in a few moments if you would put it in the circle…"
[01:19] Happy: "Then you agree to the terms I have proposed?"
[01:20] Shadowcaller: "Tell me the exact terms again?"
[01:21] Happy: "In return for allowing you to examine the orb, you will return it undamaged, share anything you learn about it with Cessie and me, and cast the geas on my prisoner."
[01:22] Murska: 'Unchanged in any way.'
[01:22] Shadowcaller: Cessie: "Thats what I was supposed to say…"
[01:23] Happy: /Cessie, the orb belongs to you. Do you have any other terms you wish to impose?/ Helena asks
[01:23] Shadowcaller: /Not really, the ones you and Aegnor made are just fine./
[01:24] Shadowcaller: Helios: "Really, I wish to add a thing to those terms."
[01:24] Happy: "What would that be?"
[01:25] Shadowcaller: "I will only cast a geas upon this prisoner of yours if the orb have the magical properties that you claim it have."
[01:27] Murska: 'And what exactly would those be?'
[01:28] Shadowcaller: "Helena, tell me what magical properties you claim this orb have?"
[01:30] Happy: "I claim that this orb can extend the life of a god."
[01:30] Shadowcaller: "For a undefined amount of time…"
[01:31] Murska: 'But since she's still alive and she's the oldest god, the amount of time can't really be defined.'
[01:31] Happy: "From the time when I was alive to the present. You might know how many years that was. I do not."
[01:31] Happy: "Nor do I have any way of knowing how long I might have lived without it."
[01:32] Shadowcaller: "Such details are unimportant, give it to me then, I accept your terms Helena."
[01:32] Happy: "With Aegnor's addition?"
[01:32] Shadowcaller: "Is that really nessecary?"
[01:32] Murska: 'Yup.'
[01:33] Happy: "It is. I value his opinion."
[01:33] Shadowcaller: "Very well, if you accept my addition."
[01:34] Shadowcaller: "Oh, and that you need tell me that this orb is in any way harmful against me."
[01:35] Happy: "To my knowledge, it is not harmful to you. I have never seen it harm anyone."
[01:36] Happy: "I agree to your terms. And of course, the information that you learn should be shared at once."
[01:36] Shadowcaller: "Can you tell me that under a truth spell?"
[01:36] Happy: "If you can cast such a spell."
[01:36] Shadowcaller: "Of course! Its my speciallity, but you need to come closer…"
[01:37] Murska: 'What about you stop adding new terms to the deal some time soon so we can get on with this?'
[01:37] Happy: Helena manifests and steps closer.
[01:38] Happy: but not into the circle
[01:38] Shadowcaller: She feels the shadows around her, magical effects passing her defenses and then dissapears
[01:38] Murska: Wait, what exactly happened? :P
[01:38] Happy: (She disappears? O.o)
[01:38] Shadowcaller: (no.)
[01:38] Happy: (Did he just zap Helena?)
[01:39] Shadowcaller: (No, just some spells…)
[01:39] Murska: (Somehow I think that might've been something other than a truth spell.)
[01:39] Happy: (ya rly :P)
[01:39] Murska: (but that's a given)
[01:39] Murska: (:P)
[01:39] Shadowcaller: "A truth spell won't be nessecary…"
[01:39] Wolfbane: (Does Promise sense any negative magic?)
[01:39] Shadowcaller: "You can go."
[01:39] Happy: Helena de-manifests, leaving her illusion. "What did you just do?"
[01:39] Shadowcaller: (you can sese magic, but you can't tell if its positive or negative.)
[01:40] Murska: /Well, THAT might have not been the smartest possible move./
[01:40] Shadowcaller: "Nothing special really, what matters is that I don't know you lie now."
[01:41] Shadowcaller: "Lets get on with the deal?"
[01:41] Happy: "Not without an explanation."
[01:42] Shadowcaller: "What do you need explained Helena?"
[01:43] Murska: 'Tell us exactly what you just did, and what effect it has, will have or might have.'
[01:43] Happy: "As Aegnor says."
[01:44] Shadowcaller: "So you refere to the moment she stepped into the circle then?"
[01:44] Happy: (she *didn't* step into the circle)
[01:44] Happy: [01:37] Happy: Helena manifests and steps closer.
[01:38] Happy: but not into the circle
[01:44] Shadowcaller: (She didn't? But thats what he asked.)
[01:44] Happy: He said step closer
[01:44] Happy: he didn't say step into the circle
[01:45] Shadowcaller: (Well, she needs to step into it since the summoned being have no power outside the circle.)
[01:45] Happy: In that case, we need to go backwards. Helena is under no circumstances stepping into another god's summoning circle
[01:45] Happy: (Start over from that point.)
[01:45] Shadowcaller: (Okay.)
[01:46] Shadowcaller: "You need to step into the circle…"
[01:46] Happy: "No. I am not a fully trained wizard, but I know not to step inside a summoning circle, Helios."
[01:47] Shadowcaller: "But I need to assure myself of that you don't lie somehow? Don't you trust me?"
[01:47] Murska: 'No.'
[01:48] Shadowcaller: "But yet I remember that you Aegnor stepped into a circle much smilar to this one some months ago…"
[01:48] Murska: 'True. Regardless…'
[01:49] Happy: "Cessie knows that I am telling the truth. And I believe you know Cessie well enough to know she doesn't lie."
[01:49] Murska: 'If you can prove the orb harmed you in some way without you attempting to do anything that is against the terms of this deal to it, you don't have to cast the geas?'
[01:50] Happy: "Never mind. I'm sure we can find someone else to help us."
[01:51] Shadowcaller: "…very well, I guess I might take that risk then, but I won't give you the orb back unless your claim about it is true."
[01:53] Shadowcaller: "And then I mean the immortality claim."
[01:53] Murska: 'Oh yes you will.'
[01:53] Happy: "No. I won't agree to that."
[01:53] Shadowcaller: "You won't?"
[01:53] Murska: 'Not to mention that the claim is just for lengthening one's life for an unspecified amount of time.'
[01:53] Shadowcaller: "Yes, exactly."
[01:54] Happy: "I won't agree to any terms that include you retaining the orb longer than one day," Helena says.
[01:55] Happy: In Cessie's mind: /I think I may need to speak to another god. I won't accept the terms he's setting./
[01:56] Shadowcaller: "Very well, just give me the orb then, I accept the terms you set."
[01:56] Happy: "Please state exactly what terms you agree to. Just to make sure there is no misunderstanding."
[01:57] Happy: Hope sighs and leans her head on Promise's shoulder. So much quibbling over words was only necessary when one's negotiating partner was without honour.
[01:57] Shadowcaller: "You don't trust me very much do you?"
[01:57] Shadowcaller: "Say your terms."
[01:59] Wolfbane: Promise leans his head against her's and puts his arm around her, squeezing gently.
[02:00] Happy: "You will retain the orb no longer than one day. You will not change it in any way. You will immediately share everything you learn about it with Cessie and me. You will cast the geas I request on my prisoner. To the best of my knowledge, the orb will not harm you. To the best of my knowledge, it is capable of extending the lifespan of a god."
[02:01] Shadowcaller: "I accept those terms."
[02:02] Happy: /And how do we place the orb in the circle without any of us crossing it ourselves?/ Helena asks Cessie.
[02:02] Shadowcaller: /Um throw it inside?/
[02:03] Happy: /I don't want to risk damaging it./
[02:04] Happy: /Ah, you can place it in the water ladle and set it inside that way./
[02:04] Murska: (Heh. Those terms didn't have anything about not casting the geas if we weren't correct about it not harming him or it having any magical properties at all)
[02:04] Happy: There is a long handled ladle in a bucket of water that was provided for washing.
[02:05] Shadowcaller: Cessie uses this to place the orb inside the circle
[02:05] Shadowcaller: It dissapears once it enters the circle
[02:10] Happy: "And the geas? Shall I have the prisoner brought here now?"
[02:11] Shadowcaller: "Of course, show me him."
[02:11] Happy: Helena contacts her priestesses, and a few minutes later, They arrive with Seren.
[02:12] Shadowcaller: "Let him enter the circle, only a geas you say? What type of geas? Mind prison?"
[02:14] Happy: "The terms of the geas are that he is to do no harm to any of my people, directly or indirectly, by action or omission, and he is to remain with my people until he is released."
[02:16] Shadowcaller: "Very well, you should try to avoid any holes like in the last one thought, what exactly do you mean by your people?"
[02:17] Shadowcaller: "And released? What would define that?"
[02:19] Happy: "My people include anyone that I have taken under my protection, and who accept me as their patroness, either now or in years to come. And his release will be when I judge that he has met the terms of his sentence to become eligible for release. But I am not aware that our last agreement had any holes."
[02:21] Shadowcaller: "Well, I would not see them as holes exactly, not in my point of view, but there was a certain lack of wording. Don't worry it can happend the best."
[02:21] Shadowcaller: "You had the hardest part of the stick anyway."
[02:22] Happy: "What do you mean?"
[02:23] Shadowcaller: "Lets cast the geas first shall we? I have honored our deal in every way."
[02:23] Happy: "Seren, please step into the circle."
[02:23] Happy: He meekly does so.
[02:24] Shadowcaller: The cloud appears to almost consume him… but then he finally founds himself outside it, he have somehow ended up outside the circle again, without even notice it.
[02:25] Shadowcaller: "He agreed, in a way."
[02:25] Happy: "In a way?"
[02:26] Shadowcaller: "Well, I might have cheated a bit with that, but the geas is true in every way."
[02:27] Happy: "If any harm comes to one of mine because of this, I will be very unhappy."
[02:27] Shadowcaller: "See, I just passed some limitations of the casting part that mortals need to have, the spell itself is going to work as intended."
[02:28] Happy: "What limitations are those?"
[02:28] Shadowcaller: "That he needs to agree on the geas."
[02:29] Happy: "And did he? I was under the impression that he prefered this to the alternative sentence."
[02:30] Shadowcaller: "Well, I used this method before he could do anything really."
[02:32] Shadowcaller: "Repeating the geas to mortals is ever so dull…"
[02:32] Murska: (Cloning the orb, by the way, would be changing it by removing it's status of being unique)
[02:32] Shadowcaller: (Oh, he ahven't done that.)
[02:32] Shadowcaller: *haven't
[02:33] Shadowcaller: "Well, then you want to learn about the orb right?"
[02:34] Shadowcaller: "Nega wishes to speak to me you see, I have other things to do."
[02:34] Happy: Helena turns to her priestesses. "Please release Seren from his chains and show him to a hut."
[02:34] Happy: They lead him out.
[02:35] Happy: "I have no doubt you can hold two conversations at once, Helios."
[02:36] Murska: (Hell, Aegnor can hold three.)
[02:36] Shadowcaller: "Well, its a very special meeting."
[02:36] Murska: ( brb)
[02:36] Shadowcaller: "She needs… all my attention so to speak."
[02:37] Shadowcaller: "Often when gods speak they want all attention upon them, they are arrogant in that way sadly…"
[02:38] Happy: "We can speak of the orb tomorrow. But I would like to know what holes I left in our agreement."
[02:39] Wolfbane: Promise sighs and gently rubs Hope's back.
[02:39] Shadowcaller: "Well, I'm not sure what parts of the agreement you didn't like."
[02:40] Happy: "If I didn't approve of the agreement, I wouldn't have made it."
[02:40] Shadowcaller: "Of course, then there are no holes in it."
[02:40] Shadowcaller: "I followed it exactly as you said."
[02:41] Happy: (Geez, SC, either tell me or don't :|)
[02:41] Shadowcaller: (Ask where the orb is:P)
[02:41] Murska: (Ooh. :P)
[02:41] Murska: (Show it to nobody else? )
[02:42] Happy: "And where is the orb now? You do intend to return it by this time tomorrow?"
[02:42] Shadowcaller: "Return it? You said no such thing."
[02:42] Murska: (Ouch. :P)
[02:42] Shadowcaller: "Its no longer in MY possession thought."
[02:43] Shadowcaller: "As we agreed right?"
[02:43] Happy: "We agreed that you would return it undamaged." Helena says.
[02:44] Happy: (Unlike Simone, Helena doesn't have a photographic memory)
[02:44] Murska: Aegnor sighs. 'You know… I'd really like a certain name to be an omen in this case…'
[02:44] Shadowcaller: "No, you never used the word "return" actually."
[02:45] Happy: "I am pretty sure I did."
[02:46] Murska: 'Well, as long as you do not change it in any way, that is, for example, modifying the status of how many beings exactly have seen it…'
[02:46] Shadowcaller: "Its in a place where no one else have seen it."
[02:47] Happy: "There was no agreement to allow you to withhold possession of the orb."
[02:48] Murska: 'Also the amount of owners… So, it'll be rather useless to everyone, since you cannot possess it after today and you cannot allow anyone else to see, touch, possess or, well, do anything else to it.'
[02:48] Murska: 'Except for us.'
[02:49] Happy: Helena smiles. "I'm sure you do mean to return it tomorrow, however, as per the spirit of our agreement."
[02:50] Murska: 'Since withholding it would, of course, place a damper on any future negotiations…'
[02:50] Shadowcaller: "Really? I will do everything in my power to keep everyone from seeing it or touch it in any way."
[02:51] Shadowcaller: "Of course, my powers are not limitless…"
[02:51] Happy: "Helios, really. Do you want our first meeting to end in such a way?"
[02:52] Shadowcaller: "I need the orb Helena, its as simple as that."
[02:52] Murska: 'And you aren't allowed to have it, as per the deal.'
[02:52] Murska: 'Nor is anyone else other than us.'
[02:52] Wolfbane: "You agreed to retain the orb for no longer than one day. That means since you know where it is, how to get it, and know how to return it, you are keeping it from us. Unless you return it by the end of the one day of course."
[02:52] Murska: 'OF course, if you return it, we might be able to negotiate a less strict deal.'
[02:53] Happy: /I'm sorry, Cessie. I will do everything I can to try and get it back for you./
[02:53] Wolfbane: Promise goes back to waiting with Hope.
[02:53] Happy: Hope mutters something in wolven about 'no honor'
[02:53] Shadowcaller: "Here, I will do everything in my power to keep the agreement, I will not possess the orb, and I will prevent anyoen from touching it."
[02:54] Shadowcaller: *anyone
[02:54] Happy: "You are not keeping the agreement. As you know, every contract has implied terms. There was no agreement for you to remove the orb from this hut, yet you did so./
[02:54] Happy: *"
[02:55] Murska: 'So, either you have to fight with all your power and get defeated to shield it or you can give it to us and we'll negotiate a new agreement which allows you to gain something from it.'
[02:55] Shadowcaller: "You never forbid me to move the orb, you didn't protest when it disssapeared."
[02:56] Shadowcaller: /I knew this was going to happend…/
[02:56] Happy: "You agreed not to change the orb. At the end of the day, it's location should also be unchanged."
[02:57] Happy: /Why didn't you stop me? I wouldn't have taken such a risk with your property if I'd known you had doubts./
[02:57] Murska: 'What exactly did you learn from it?'
[02:57] Murska: 'We agreed on you telling that immediately, and you still haven't done it.'
[02:57] Shadowcaller: (Happy and I are trying to figure that out Murska)
[02:57] Happy: (yeah, we need to brainstorm)
[02:57] Murska: (Well, he's broken the deal already on that part)
[02:58] Shadowcaller: (Well, thats why we don't know what it dose, so we have to skip that.)
[02:58] Shadowcaller: (We will say he say that once we make it up.)
[02:58] Happy: Simone speaks up. "It's trespass to chattels and conversion for you to keeping it."
[02:59] Shadowcaller: "What?"
[03:00] Shadowcaller: "Also, I can still hold the orb for many hours."
[03:00] Happy: "I reading it in law book. Tresspass to chattels is when you do something to harm Miss Cessie's possession of orb. Conversion is meaning you do something to harm her ownership of it."
[03:02] Happy: "You is thief, just like me. You just steal with words instead of fingers."
[03:02] Shadowcaller: "Please, many of my worshuppers are thieves, I see nothing wrong with their choice of life."
[03:03] Shadowcaller: *worshippers
[03:03] Happy: "You say you not break agreement, but you do."
[03:03] Shadowcaller: "I have not."
[03:03] Happy: "Yes you have. If you not return orb, you commit conversion. Is a legal wrong."
[03:03] Shadowcaller: "I have done things within the bounderies of the agreement."
[03:04] Happy: (Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conversion_(law)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conversion_(law)
[03:05] Happy: (A common conversion is a refusal to surrender possession of the chattel to one who is entitled to it. Normally, this is judged to be a sufficiently serious interference with the plaintiff’s right of control)
[03:06] Shadowcaller: "I do not go by the law Simone, I go by the bounderies of the agreemen."
[03:06] Murska: 'So. You'll either have to leave the orb somewhere where it will be of no use to anyone, be willing to show all your strength in a fight and lose to someone who would take it, or give it back to us, so we can renegotiate a better agreement, at the end of the day.'
[03:06] Shadowcaller: *agreement
[03:07] Shadowcaller: "Well, I suppose I could transport one of you there to collect it right?"
[03:08] Shadowcaller: "Would that count as returning it, even thought you never said something about that in the deal?"
[03:08] Murska: 'Returning it would be you bringing it back here.'
[03:08] Happy: "Which you can do with a thought."
[03:08] Shadowcaller: "No, its… in a very special place."
[03:09] Happy: Simone: "I will go and get it."
[03:09] Shadowcaller: "You? Hm, I need to warn you, it could be a bit dangerous."
[03:10] Murska: 'And what would have been the point of this… Did you want someone to go clear the way to somewhere in the first place?'
[03:11] Shadowcaller: "I don't need to answer that question."
[03:11] Happy: "No." Helena says. "You are acting without honour. As you well know, every contract has implied terms. Every contract also is concluded on the basis of terms agreed by both parties. I never agreed to allow you to keep the orb indefinitely."
[03:11] Shadowcaller: "Well, I can't return the orb."
[03:11] Happy: "Why not?"
[03:12] Shadowcaller: "Do I really… spirits force, prevents things from leaving."
[03:12] Shadowcaller: *spirit
[03:12] Shadowcaller: "Its in the spirits world."
[03:12] Shadowcaller: *spirit
[03:13] Happy: "Every contract also includes the implied term that the parties are acting in good faith, which you were not."
[03:13] Shadowcaller: (gah.)
[03:13] Wolfbane: Promise sighs heavily.
[03:13] Happy: "You sent the orb to the spirit world? That is most certainly a violation of the agreement."
[03:13] Shadowcaller: "It is?"
[03:14] Happy: "It is."
[03:14] Shadowcaller: "I do not see why, the orb have not in any way changed."
[03:15] Murska: 'So, I assume you have something else there you hope this will help you gain, since otherwise there would be no point at attempting to trick us into going there when there never was any way you could profit more from the orb itself than the agreement stated.'
[03:15] Happy: "It's realm of residence is a rather important characteristic."
[03:15] Happy: "If I changed Simone's location from where she is to the center of the fire, I assure you, she would consider that a rather noticeable change."
[03:17] Shadowcaller: "… don't make me explain the nature of the world, "the spirit world" is not a different place of existance, and fire is a very poor example since it would affect the orb in ways its new location have not."
[03:17] Happy: "You've affected the abilities of its owner to reach it."
[03:17] Shadowcaller: "And besides, I haven't changed it."
[03:17] Wolfbane: "To put the orb there, you would have had to change it so it was no longer a physical object, would you not?"
[03:18] Shadowcaller: "The orb is still physical."
[03:18] Wolfbane: "In the Spirit sense, maybe, but here? No, most definitely not."
[03:19] Happy: "Don't make me explain the nature of honesty. If you were being honest, you'd admit that you stole the orb. No court that I've ever encountered would interpret the contract in such a way that allows you to fail to return the orb."
[03:19] Happy: "YOu put it there. You can get it back."
[03:19] Shadowcaller: "I I can't agree on your definitation of change, you don't change once you enter the spirit world."
[03:20] Shadowcaller: "No more when you enter a body of water."
[03:20] Happy: "Then it shouldn't hurt you to go and retrieve it."
[03:20] Wolfbane: "But you have to change /to/ enter the spirit world."
[03:20] Shadowcaller: "And no I can't get it back actually."
[03:20] Happy: "Then you can pay someone else to do it."
[03:20] Shadowcaller: "And why exaclty would I do that?"
[03:21] Happy: "As I said. Contracts have implied terms, as well as express terms. If the orb has not been returned to our possession by the end of the agreed period, then you have broken the contract."
[03:22] Happy: "No court I have ever encountered would intepret our agreement in such a way."
[03:22] Shadowcaller: "No, its no longer in my posession, I never agreed to return it to you."
[03:23] Happy: (SC, Helios would know about implied terms of contracts)
[03:23] Shadowcaller: (he don't care about implied.)
[03:23] Happy: (EVERY contract has implied terms. You can't have a contract without them)
[03:24] Shadowcaller: (Well, he seems to think you cna have.)
[03:24] Shadowcaller: *can
[03:24] Happy: (And a change in possession is most certainly a change)
[03:24] Shadowcaller: (No one else own it.)
[03:25] Happy: (possession =/= ownership)
[03:25] Shadowcaller: (And really, I doubt the defenition of change is that.)
[03:25] Happy: (If I lend you a book, you have possession of it, even though I still own it. If you then leave it on the bus and someone else picks it up, that person has possession of it.)
[03:27] Shadowcaller: (Besides, he just agreed that HE would not change it, it never said anything about anyone else.)

[03:37] Wolfbane: "No matter what, you did change the properties of the orb. To put it in the spirit world, you have to make it non-physical /here/. It doesn't matter if it is physical there if we can't do anything about it here."
[03:38] Wolfbane: Promise sighs again and curses quietly in wolfen.
[03:38] Shadowcaller: (Ugh, don't make me go into wizard-did-it physics..)
[03:38] Happy: "He's an honourless thief," Hope says. "Why are we even negotiating with him?"
[03:38] Happy: (possession of an object is a property of it. He already changed it without having to get into physics
[03:39] Shadowcaller: ((What exact terms are you refering to here?)
[03:39] Happy: [02:00] Happy: "You will retain the orb no longer than one day. You will not change it in any way. You will immediately share everything you learn about it with Cessie and me. You will cast the geas I request on my prisoner. To the best of my knowledge, the orb will not harm you. To the best of my knowledge, it is capable of extending the lifespan of a god."
[03:42] Wolfbane: "You were the one who put the orb in a different place. You are retaining it. If you do not, or can not, give it back by the end of the day, you have broken the agreement."
[03:42] Shadowcaller: "If I can't return it then?"
[03:42] Wolfbane: "You've broken the agreement."
[03:42] Happy: "Then you've broken our agreement," Helena agrees.
[03:43] Shadowcaller: "Hm, I could return it with your help thought."
[03:44] Happy: "Then you'll pay a fair price for any help you receive," Helena says.
[03:44] Shadowcaller: "Of course."
[03:46] Shadowcaller: "I could transport any mortal to the exact location of the orb."
[03:46] Happy: "And what dangers would they face there?"
[03:46] Shadowcaller: "Oni."
[03:47] Shadowcaller: "Its in the deep realm…"
[03:47] Shadowcaller: "The spirit graveyard."
[03:47] Happy: "Yoki-joro?" Hope asks.
[03:47] Shadowcaller: "No, she is no Oni, oni are bizzare creatures."
[03:47] Shadowcaller: "The oldest spirits in existance."
[03:48] Shadowcaller: "Older then all the gods…"
[03:48] Happy: "I will go," Simone says again, her eyes shining.
[03:48] Happy: "Can we see them?"
[03:48] Murska: back
[03:49] Shadowcaller: "You will e able to see them, but I warn you, they are by all standards impossible to understand."
[03:49] Shadowcaller: *be
[03:49] Happy: "We cannot communicate?" /Simone
[03:50] Shadowcaller: "Get the orb, and then get as far away as possible from the deep realm, you should be able to see the outline of it."
[03:50] Shadowcaller: "All contact will be cut, you will be there alone."
[03:50] Happy: "How? How do I leave it so far that I can only see the outline?"
[03:52] Shadowcaller: "Its a bit… complex, I meant that you should go towards the outline."
[03:52] Shadowcaller: "Its white."
[03:52] Happy: "I don't understand."
[03:52] Shadowcaller: "See the sky above you?"
[03:53] Happy: "No, we're in a hut."
[03:53] Murska: :P
[03:53] Shadowcaller: "Or well, when you are outside the hut."
[03:53] Happy: (Well it was the obvious Simone answer >.>)
[03:53] Murska: (I guess I'll have to avenge my prior loss in SC now, but then I'll quit the session)
[03:53] Shadowcaller: "Think the deep realm as different types of sky, you should move toward the white type."
[03:54] Happy: "I thought you say I would be right there with orb."
[03:54] Shadowcaller: "Yes, the orb will be there."
[03:54] Shadowcaller: "Its in the middle of it."
[03:54] Happy: "So I still have to go to it. I not be right at it."
[03:55] Happy: "You say exact location."
[03:55] Shadowcaller: "See, the orb will be right under you when you enter."
[03:55] Happy: "So I go down?"
[03:55] Shadowcaller: "Right under your feet that is."
[03:55] Happy: "So I dig? You make no sense."
[03:56] Shadowcaller: "The orb is not hard to get, the hard part is getting out of there."
[03:56] Happy: Helena: "You aren't explaining things very clearly. Exactly what is going to happen once you transport them to the spirit realm?"
[03:57] Shadowcaller: "You can't… *a ball like object and a skeleton dolll apears in the circle*
[03:57] Shadowcaller: "Think yourself as the doll."
[03:57] Shadowcaller: "And the orb as the ball."
[03:57] Shadowcaller: "You will be that close to it once you enter."
[03:57] Happy: (and that is…?)
[03:58] Shadowcaller: (they are right beside each other.)
[03:58] Happy: "So I just pick it up? I not have to even take a step?"
[03:58] Shadowcaller: "Well, as I said, the phard part is getting our of there."
[03:58] Shadowcaller: *hard
[03:58] Happy: "You didn't answer her question," Hope says.
[03:59] Shadowcaller: "No, you won't even have to take a step."
[03:59] Happy: "And is anything stop me picking it up?"
[03:59] Shadowcaller: "Just bend down and pick it up."
[03:59] Shadowcaller: "It should not be."
[03:59] Happy: "And then I flee?"
[03:59] Happy: "/We/ flee," Hope says. "We won't send you there alone."
[04:00] Shadowcaller: "Basically, yes, toward the white sky."
[04:00] Shadowcaller: "The will be no ground to stand on."
[04:00] Shadowcaller: "You will float."
[04:00] Happy: "So we fly? Will we be flying?"
[04:00] Happy: "And when we get to white sky? Then what happening?"
[04:01] Shadowcaller: "I will get you here."
[04:01] Happy: "And how long will it take? Objectively and subjectively?" Helena asks.
[04:01] Shadowcaller: "TIme travels very differnet there, sometimes faster, somtimes slower."
[04:02] Shadowcaller: *different
[04:02] Shadowcaller: "Also, near the orb, there should be a book too."
[04:02] Shadowcaller: "While your at it…"
[04:03] Wolfbane: Promise squeezes Hope's shoulder gently. "However long it takes, I can't go."
[04:03] Shadowcaller: "Just avoid anything that moves."
[04:04] Happy: "How much time will pass in Gallion while they are gone?"
[04:04] Shadowcaller: "I have no idea, time changes there, it don't follow the same stream all the time."
[04:05] Happy: "Hours? Weeks? Years?"
[04:05] Shadowcaller: "Sometimes a hour can be like a day, sometimes it can be like a second."
[04:06] Happy: "So you expect me to send my people to such a place where I might not see them again for years. I think not."
[04:06] Happy: /Helena
[04:06] Shadowcaller: ""The time change should not be that big really."
[04:07] Shadowcaller: "At max seven days I would guess."
[04:07] Shadowcaller: "If they can avoid getting killed."
[04:07] Happy: "And how much time will they experience?"
[04:08] Shadowcaller: "Just some hours, or a moth?"
[04:08] Shadowcaller: *month
[04:08] Shadowcaller: "Hmm…"
[04:08] Shadowcaller: "There is a way to control it however."
[04:09] Happy: (Cessie really should speak up sometimes, you know.)
[04:09] Shadowcaller: "If I remember correctly (which I always do.)"
[04:09] Shadowcaller: (Yeah, but she don't know anything about it.)
[04:09] Happy: (She could at least give an opinion every now and then)
[04:09] Happy: (or ask questions)
[04:10] Shadowcaller: (Well, its hard to control when you ask so many questions >.>)
[04:10] Happy: (I have three different characters here asking questions)
[04:10] Shadowcaller: (Aegnor haven't spoken mych either.)
[04:10] Shadowcaller: (Exaclty my point:P)
[04:10] Happy: (That's because of SC(
[04:10] Shadowcaller: *much
[04:12] Happy: (Cessie would know most about what they are dealing with though. Why should the barbarian and the street urchin be asking more questions than the wizard?)
[04:12] Shadowcaller: (Well, done is done >.>)
[04:12] Happy: (We're not done asking questions. He's been incredibly vague so far)
[04:13] Shadowcaller: (Its a very vague place.)
[04:13] Happy: "I can't go either," Hope says. "I can't leave the village without a healer for that long."
[04:13] Shadowcaller: "As I said, there is a way to control how much time that passes."
[04:14] Murska: back
[04:14] Shadowcaller: "Time is a stream there, it passess differently in different areas."
[04:14] Shadowcaller: "Black sky, means it moves slower."
[04:14] Shadowcaller: "Green means it moves much slower."
[04:15] Shadowcaller: "Orange, means faster."
[04:15] Shadowcaller: "Yellow, much faster."
[04:15] Shadowcaller: "Then there are colours right between…"
[04:15] Happy: "So we stay under yellow sky we return before we leave?" Simone asks.
[04:16] Wolfbane: Promise nuzzles Hope.
[04:17] Shadowcaller: "Yes, try to keep to the yellow sky and you will go out fast."
[04:17] Shadowcaller: "Not sure how time will pass here thought…"
[04:17] Happy: "But how do we get to white sky and stay under yellow sky?"
[04:18] Shadowcaller: "The white sky is in the end, you should see it."
[04:18] Shadowcaller: "Just move toward it, when you are there, you will notice."
[04:18] Happy: "You said they would be gone no longer than a week. Is that no longer true if they use different skys?"
[04:19] Shadowcaller: "Yeah, they could be back in a few hours if they use it correctly."
[04:19] Happy: "And if they make a mistake?"
[04:19] Shadowcaller: "Well, then they would lose time, nothing else."
[04:20] Murska: 'So. You mentioned it would be dangerous.'
[04:20] Happy: "But they would still be here within a week?"
[04:20] Shadowcaller: "The beings, the oni, are dangerous."
[04:20] Murska: 'Kill us on sight dangerous?'
[04:21] Shadowcaller: "They will have a hard time understanding you at first I hope."
[04:22] Murska: 'And this book?'
[04:22] Shadowcaller: "Its not like they are aggresive, if they kill you, its beacuse they didn't understnad."
[04:22] Shadowcaller: "Yes, the book is very important, you would need it to get home."
[04:23] Murska: 'Yeah right. Now, of course we get to keep it, if we decide to bring it with us.'
[04:24] Shadowcaller: "It is my book really, you would not understand a word of it."
[04:24] Murska: 'Oh well. If we go get it, we keep it. Unless you have something to purchase it with…'
[04:25] Shadowcaller: "Sure, you can keep it if you like, I just doubt you would find much use of it."
[04:26] Murska: 'Okay, sure. It's a book, we can use the leaves to help set up the campfire.'
[04:26] Murska: (*pages)
[04:26] Murska: (epic mistake. :P)
[04:26] Shadowcaller: "Oh, you can try that if you like."
[04:27] Shadowcaller: "But I would advise you not to."
[04:27] Murska: 'Hm. Sounds completely useless. Let's leave it there.'
[04:27] Shadowcaller: "It might disagree with that…"
[04:27] Shadowcaller: "You won't get home without it, I need to pinpoint your location."
[04:28] Happy: "A sentient book? How dangerous is it?" Helena asks.
[04:28] Shadowcaller: "As long as they don't open it, they should be fine."
[04:28] Murska: 'And just before, not even a mention of this 'book' on returning home before we mentioned possibly not taking it with us…'
[04:28] Happy: (yay! My PMing got a player!)
[04:28] Wolfbane: (DS7?)
[04:28] Murska: 'Why wouldn't the orb be pinpointable?'
[04:29] Happy: (Yup)
[04:29] Wolfbane: (I think I may be able to convince Felixaar to join)
[04:29] Murska: (I could get Vampiric, possibly)
[04:29] Wolfbane: (I think he'd like WW games)
[04:29] Happy: (I PM'd ds7, hyozo, mechafox, skippy, and szilard)
[04:29] Murska: (Vampiric said if we're short on players and time is running out, ask him)
[04:30] Happy: (he tends to get auto'd though)
[04:30] Happy: (anyway, we'll get another player by monday, easy)
[04:30] Shadowcaller: "See, why do you think the orb ended up beside the book?"
[04:30] Happy: "What happen if we opening booK?"
[04:30] Murska: 'Because that's where you sent it? Or because it's in the middle?'
[04:31] Shadowcaller: "It will scream until you give it blood."
[04:31] Shadowcaller: "And trust me, you don't want to hear it scream."
[04:31] Happy: "Like the worm?" Hope asks, horrified. "It's a perversion?"
[04:32] Wolfbane: Promise shivvers at the memory of the screech.
[04:33] Shadowcaller: "Its a very dangerous book that I would like to keep watch over, it was sent to the deep realms long ago."
[04:33] Happy: /Cessie, maybe we should just make him reimburse us for the orb. You can always study mine./
[04:34] Murska: 'And it's not safe there?'
[04:34] Shadowcaller: /He lies a lot… I think its quite dangerous… I don't know… I want that orb./
[04:35] Shadowcaller: "Well, the invidual that sent it there, didn't want anyone to ever bring it back."
[04:35] Shadowcaller: "It was the best place really."
[04:35] Murska: 'So. Let's not.'
[04:35] Murska: /It's not his after all, then./
[04:36] Happy: /There has to be a way to bring you back without the book/
[04:37] Shadowcaller: "But without it I won't be able to return you, and I will return it back once I have learned its secrets."
[04:37] Murska: (I'm pretty certain he's lying about needing it, at least IC)
[04:37] Murska: (He didn't mention it at all at first)
[04:37] Murska: (And it'd probably be the first thing to say.)Ä
[04:37] Happy: "Why do you need the book to return them?"
[04:38] Shadowcaller: (Well, the main reason is that you are there
)
[04:38] Shadowcaller: "To pinpoint your location, thats how I transported the orb there."
[04:39] Happy: "Then there must be other methods you can use to pinpoint them. Something they can take with them."
[04:40] Happy: /Cessie, this worries me. I don't want to send you there./
[04:40] Shadowcaller: "I doubt you have a magical item that would be like the book, its the only real magic down there."
[04:41] Murska: (Still no word on the orb's properties?)
[04:41] Happy: (me and SC have to brqainstorm that)
[04:41] Shadowcaller: /I'm a bit worried too… I have heard of the deep realm once./
[04:41] Shadowcaller: /But only in a poem, thats why I still remember it./
[04:43] Happy: /What is the poem?
[04:43] Shadowcaller: (Also, thanks for all the help with Kyoum I don't know how to repay that >.>)
[04:44] Murska: (No problem. :))
[04:44] Happy: (by making sure I don't have to be the seer?)
[04:44] Murska: (By making it be as fun as possible. :P)
[04:44] Shadowcaller: /The teller of tales I belive it was called./
[04:44] Shadowcaller: (I need to start with the opening scene…)
[04:44] Happy: (And I@ll have a lot more fun if I'm not the seer >.>)
[04:44] Wolfbane: (Give me a good death. That is how)
[04:45] Murska: (Or a good winning scene?)
[04:45] Murska: (:P)
[04:45] Happy: (Hope plunges her claws into Promise's gut. "I'll always love you," she says fondly, as the blood stains his fur red)
[04:46] Shadowcaller: (Intresting…)
[04:46] Shadowcaller: (Where did the horrors come from? We are not doing a crossover here people.)
[04:46] Shadowcaller: (Hmm… vote for introducing horrors in this setting?)
[04:47] Wolfbane: (Promise gurgles blood. "You….too…" He dies with a smile on his face)
[04:47] Happy: (xD)
[04:47] Shadowcaller: (Then Promise wakes up.)
[04:47] Shadowcaller: (It was just a dream.)
[04:48] Happy: (To find his own claws embedded in Hope's broken body)
[04:48] Wolfbane: (O.O)
[04:48] Wolfbane: (NUUUUU!!!)
[04:48] Murska: (heh, then he slices his own throat open while the illusionist laughs)
[04:50] Murska: 'Right, so let's assume that, for some reason, you're actually speaking the truth about needing the book to get back, which I doubt. We need some way to be certain that we actually retain ownership of everything we happen to pick up from there when we are brought back. Oh, and of course that we actually are brought back, and other such minor details.'
[04:51] Shadowcaller: "See here, the book is a mere bonus, we both is going to earn a lot by just visiting the deep realm."
[04:51] Happy: "And of course you'll owe a favour to each person who goes," Helena says. "And I must insist that these negotiations be understood to be conducted under the principles of good faith."
[04:53] Shadowcaller: "We will see once we return."
[04:53] Shadowcaller: *you
[04:53] Happy: "No."
[04:53] Happy: (And Helena isn't going)
[04:53] Shadowcaller: (Well, you as in the party.)
[04:54] Shadowcaller: "Okay, lets make a new deal then?"
[04:54] Shadowcaller: "Try to avoid holes this time."
[04:55] Happy: "That's what I just said. We'll be negotiating under the principles of good faith, which means any imperfections in wording cannot be used by one party to change the understood agreement."
[04:57] Happy: "Since it is your responsibility to return the orb to its rightful owner at the end of the day, and since you've agreed already to compensate those who are sent, you will owe a favour to each person who goes to the Deep Realm."
[04:57] Shadowcaller: "Very well, we go by the law rules then."
[04:57] Shadowcaller: "How much how a favor?"
[04:57] Happy: "What is your offer?"
[04:58] Shadowcaller: "I have no idea what these inviduals want, I'm not Nega."
[04:58] Happy: "What is a fair price for a quest of this danger?"
[04:58] Shadowcaller: "No one have ever been there before, so I can't tell."
[04:59] Murska: 'Ooh, that's extra danger of the unknown.'
[04:59] Happy: "Then a favour is a fair price, since they will be asking the favour after they've returned."
[05:00] Happy: Simone: "You already knowing what I want."
[05:00] Shadowcaller: "That was another deal Simone."
[05:00] Happy: "I know. But I do something different for you, it still what I want."
[05:01] Shadowcaller: "Only the orb itself would be worth that price."
[05:01] Shadowcaller: *prize
[05:02] Happy: "Bah. I not have to risk life to get orb. This dangerous. Worth more. But I ask same price."
[05:02] Happy: Helena smiles. "Interesting. Didn't you claim earlier that you never tried to steal it?"
[05:02] Happy: (to Helios)
[05:03] Shadowcaller: "I have never tried to steal it, no."
[05:03] Murska: 'You just attempted to get Simone to steal it for you.'
[05:03] Murska: Aegnor rolls his eyes.
[05:04] Happy: "You said you had no idea what I was talking about when I referred to a theft. But no matter. I'm sure it merely slipped your mind."
[05:04] Shadowcaller: "Of course."
[05:04] Wolfbane: Promise sighs and sits down with his back against the hut. "I'm starting to get tired of this." /Wolfen
[05:05] Shadowcaller: "Yes me to" /wolfen
[05:05] Wolfbane: (He whispered)
[05:05] Shadowcaller: (you never said that.:P)
[05:05] Happy: Hope: "If you acted with honour, this would have been concluded already." /Wolfen
[05:06] Wolfbane: (Speaking in Wolfen in a large group of people? That usually means whispering, but nevermind)
[05:06] Happy: "You agreed to pay a fair price already."
[05:06] Happy: Helena says. "Do you deny this?"
[05:06] Shadowcaller: "There are reasons for my actions."
[05:06] Shadowcaller: "Well, "fair" is a very vague word."
[05:06] Happy: "That's what you agreed."
[05:06] Murska: 'Yeah, you're a liar, cheat and a thief. In any case…'
[05:06] Happy: "You also said you can't say what a fair price is because of the unknown nature of the realm."
[05:07] Happy: "So the people who go will name their price after they return. They will act on the principles of good faith and ask a fair price. And you will pay it. Is that agreed?"
[05:07] Shadowcaller: "Okay, you get your fair price for entering the deep realm ocne you return."
[05:07] Shadowcaller: *once
[05:07] Murska: 'And you will do everything in your power to make sure we DO return.'
[05:08] Shadowcaller: "I can't do anything there, otherwise I would have gotten the orb remember?"
[05:08] Happy: "And if any of them do not return, their favour will be given to the person they designate."
[05:08] Happy: "You will still pay three favours, regardless."
[05:08] Shadowcaller: "Of course."
[05:08] Murska: (so three are going?)
[05:09] Happy: (Promise is still injured, and Hope doesn't want to leave the village without a healer)
[05:10] Murska: (Okay, shall we assume they get all the silly wordplay out of the way without another massive loophole so we can get on with this? :P)
[05:10] Happy: /Cessie? Is this fair?/
[05:11] Shadowcaller: /I hope so, he often keeps deal like this… he must have had some major reason to use that loophole./
[05:11] Happy: /That book worries me. It sounds like another perversion/
[05:12] Shadowcaller: /I'm more worried aobut the realm itself… in the poem it was refered as the guardian crust./
[05:12] Shadowcaller: /Guard against the mother…/
[05:12] Shadowcaller: /Whatever that means./
[05:13] Happy: /What was the poem? Can you remember it?/
[05:13] Shadowcaller: /Not in detail, I don't remember the rythm./
[05:16] Shadowcaller: /But it was just a poem anyway…/
[05:16] Shadowcaller: Cessie: "What exactly awaits us there? What are the oni?"
[05:17] Shadowcaller: Helios: "All oni are differnet, their power is often depending on size, Aegnor might be able to speak with them."
[05:17] Shadowcaller: "But I advice against it, its said to drive you mad…"
[05:19] Happy: "Then that's another term. If any of them are returned wounded in body or mind, you will do whatever is in your power to return them to health."
[05:20] Happy: "And if the book proves too dangerous to remain here, you'll help return it to the Deep Realm."
[05:20] Shadowcaller: "Of course."
[05:21] Shadowcaller: "I might want to go here personally thought…"
[05:21] Happy: "I thought you said you couldn't go there.!
[05:22] Shadowcaller: "Here, that is, this village."
[05:23] Happy: "If you come into my domain, you will not bring harm to any of my people, directly or indirectly, by action or ommission," Helena says warily.
[05:25] Shadowcaller: "Why would I do that?"
[05:25] Happy: "Now since this agreement has been made in good faith, I trust there will be no significant disputes?"
[05:25] Shadowcaller: "There won't."
[05:26] Happy: "I have no idea why you would do that. It's my job as Protector to make sure you don't, even if I can't perceive a reason why."
[05:26] Happy: /Are you sure, Cessie?/
[05:27] Shadowcaller: /We can't let Simone go there herself, and if Aegnor goes there, I must got there too, and besides, I will learn something no one ever learned before…/
[05:28] Shadowcaller: "So, you want trasnportation there or not?"
[05:29] Happy: "I do hope you aren't about to say we didn't agree to transportation." Helena says.
[05:30] Shadowcaller: *transportation
[05:30] Shadowcaller: "Of course not, this is both good for me and you."
[05:31] Happy: "Very well. Then you can send them as soon as theya re ready, and their players have had a good night's rest."
[05:31] Shadowcaller: "What? Did you just break the fourth wall?"
[05:31] Murska: "Good day's rest, it's 7:30 am here"
[05:33] Shadowcaller: "Where exactly? Tell me about this world of yours outside the fourth wall."
[05:33] Murska: 'It's kind of neat. There's this thing called 'internet' which allows people to meet and imagine things like you.'
[05:33] Happy: "That would require far more negotiations than we have time for."
[05:33] Happy: "Gah! Stop giving him information like that for free!"
[05:34] Shadowcaller: "Really? How intresting…"
[05:34] Murska: 'Hey, it's fun to tell beings that they're only a figment of our collective imagination.'
[05:34] Murska: 'And we can erase them with a simple retcon.'
[05:34] Shadowcaller: "Our I am real somewhere, its a distinct possibility."
[05:35] Murska: 'If you cannot prove your existance even to yourself, what value would it hold?'
[05:36] Shadowcaller: "Oh, I didn't say I didn't exist, to me, the world you call "real" is as unreal to me as this world is to you."
[05:36] Shadowcaller: (But now I need to sleep >.>)
[05:36] Wolfbane: (Oots Update)
[05:37] Shadowcaller: (Aware, long time ago actually^^)
[05:37] Murska: :P
[05:37] Murska: Yup
[05:37] Happy: (transcript up)
[05:37] Murska: 'Okay, a webcomic and the need for your creator to sleep will override your life for now. You'll pop back into existance in some time, I guess.'
[05:38] Shadowcaller: "Eh, I live my own life during that time, its all in the mind anyway, now I will pretend this never happend…"
[05:39] Murska: 'You better, since it kind of shakes you to know that you can be erased from existance whenever we want.
[05:39] Shadowcaller: "Or you are erashed from this existance whenever you want to be, think about that…"
[05:39] Shadowcaller: *erased
[05:39] Happy: "Just imagine, if wikidot went down, your whole history would crumble."
[05:39] Murska: 'Yeah, I could commit suicide if I wanted. Why think about that?'
[05:41] Shadowcaller: "Why do you think this world is depended on you? Once you created it, it might continue existing…"
[05:41] Happy: "Stop talking in character! My creator wants to sleep, not keep updating the transcript!"
[05:41] Murska: 'Why do you think it isn't? After all, nothing can be proven to exist.'
[05:41] Murska: 'Well, you can omit this part.'
[05:42] Murska: 'I don't think the historians reading it will want to have their minds blown.'
[05:42] Wolfbane: "Mine is cursing about time zones and how early it is."
[05:42] Happy: "If I were historian, I wanting to read it."
[05:42] Murska: 'Mine's playing a bass guitar and thus quite out of this world right now.'
[05:42] Murska: 'You want to read everything.'
[05:43] Happy: "That's because I not knowing yet how much rubbish there is in print. My player not telling me yet."
[05:43] Shadowcaller: "I suppose I should just forget about all this ever happen, or at least not mentione it ever happend when you start again."
[05:44] Murska: 'My player demands to be worshipped as the main Deity since he started the whole world!'
[05:44] Happy: Hope leans over to Promise. "Must be one of those wizard things. I have no idea what they are babbling about."
[05:46] Wolfbane: Promise puts an arm around her. "Neither do I." He looks at the claws embedded in his chest. "I thought that was going to be later."
[05:46] Wolfbane: :P
[05:47] Murska: Aegnor walks over and stabs Hope in the back. 'Oh well.'
[05:47] Shadowcaller: "You better stop talking before the planned out plot start to reveal itself, after all this IS unreal."
[05:48] Shadowcaller: "But in a different way that you think."
[05:48] Murska: As a main deity I'm all-knowing and all-powerful! At least, if I manage to convince the majority of the rest of you into general consensus. >.>
[05:49] Happy: "Yes, yes, you're totally epic. Even if we all tried to kill you at once, you'd still have 1 hp"
[05:49] Shadowcaller: "I don't think so mortal, that would only result in boring god-modding."
[05:50] Murska: and that 1hp! It's a godly HP of godliness!
[05:50] Murska: 'Hey, figment of imagination, stop calling me mortal, figment of imagination.'
[05:50] Shadowcaller: "But you are mortal."
[05:50] Murska: 'And you are a figment of imagination, figment of imagination.
[05:51] Happy: gnight everybody
[05:51] Shadowcaller: "Then, why are yuo speaking to me at all? DIdn't you say you needed sleep?"
[05:51] Shadowcaller: *you
[05:51] Wolfbane: Night Happy
[05:51] Murska: 'Actually, I never did.'
[05:52] Murska: 'And speaking to figments of imagination sure beats speaking to so-called 'real' people.'
[05:52] Shadowcaller: "Such a boring world you must live in."
[05:52] Happy: "At least no one tries to kill us regularly"
[05:53] Murska: 'Weeell…'
[05:53] Murska: 'At least that'd make it interesting.'
[05:53] Shadowcaller: "Bah, I never planned to kill you, maybe change the order of the world or so…"
[05:53] Happy: Everyone in chat is insisting that they did try to tell you goodbye
[05:53] Murska: yup
[05:53] Murska: Jacklu is private-PMing me
[05:53] Murska: IMing*
[05:53] Murska: about it :P
[05:54] Murska: But nothing can stop the teenage wangst!
[05:54] Murska: NOBODY CARES!
[05:54] Shadowcaller: "But now I need to repair that fourth wall, we can't have your players hanging around here, you are already acting out of character."
[05:54] Murska: 'Can I have a piece? As a reminder?
[05:54] Shadowcaller: "No, you have to ask someone else of that."
[05:55] Murska: 'No wait, I'm the avatar of the main deity.'
[05:55] Murska: *grabs a piece of the fourth wall*
[05:55] Murska: 'I can just take one.'
[05:55] Shadowcaller: "Your not the DM, I doubt he will let you keep that."
[05:55] Happy: "I'm still the DM, and I say he can"
[05:56] Murska: *hands it to Aegnor the player's IM-persona*
[05:56] Murska: 'Now it's out of the game's jurisdiction anyway.'
[05:56] Shadowcaller: "Why do you need to transform everything to silliness…"
[05:56] Murska: I'm so going to add that to Aegnor's inventory. :P
[05:56] Murska: 'Piece of the Fourth Wall'
[05:57] Murska: 'In memorium'
[05:57] Shadowcaller: (At least Cessie didn't break it >.>)
[05:57] Murska: (*takes out a scroll of genoicide*)
[05:57] Murska: I wonder if I can slip this to Aegnor the character…
[05:58] Happy: "It's entropy. The universe will always greater and greater silliness."
[05:58] Murska: Hmm. *genoicide - Magic's*
[05:58] Murska: would probably have funny effects
[05:58] Murska: like the end of the world
[05:58] Shadowcaller: "No, this game started out silly, now its serious."
[05:58] Murska: 'Temporary. :P'
[05:59] Happy: "And you don't think staying up till 6am doing this is silly?"
[05:59] Shadowcaller: "Great, now I'm breaking character…"
[05:59] Shadowcaller: *dissapears*
[05:59] Murska: Oo
[06:00] Murska: Cessie disappeared?
[06:00] Murska: Nuuuuu
[06:00] Shadowcaller: (No that was Helios.)
[06:00] Murska: Ah. :P
[06:00] Murska: Good riddance.
[06:00] Shadowcaller: (Cessie never broke character.)
[06:00] Murska: (Wonder how she reacted to Hope growing claws and killing Promise and then Aegnor backstabbing Hope)
[06:01] Shadowcaller: (SHe was unaware of that due fourth wall breaking.)
[06:01] Murska: 'I'm actually from a different dimension. I'm an agent of the S.E.U, tracking the Horror Queen to this one.'
[06:02] Happy: "Hey, I killed you."
[06:02] Murska: 'Ha. On night one… You really think it'd be THAT easy?'
[06:03] Murska: 'Was just waiting for you to reveal yourself to get that stab in.'
[06:03] Murska: '…well, okay, the whole 'dying' part of the plan hurt a bit'
[06:03] Murska: 'but I endured.'
[06:03] Shadowcaller: (She gnawed off your face…)
[06:03] Wolfbane: Alizarin Viscose stabs his new claws through Aegnor.
[06:04] Wolfbane: "Did you honestly think I would die that easily?"
[06:04] Murska: '…now wait, who were you again?'
[06:04] Happy: "Of course every Horror Queen needs a mate" *snuggles Viscose*
[06:05] Wolfbane: *snuggles*
[06:05] Shadowcaller: (…okay, now its getting wierd.)
[06:05] Wolfbane: How did you think other horrors were made?
[06:05] Murska: 'Oh well, everyone dies, except for SC.'
[06:05] Murska: 'I'll regenerate just in time to continue the hunt.'
[06:05] Shadowcaller: (You can do that?)
[06:06] Murska: (Of course. I've died more times than most people have breathed in.)
[06:06] Wolfbane: Alizarin puts the mask of Promise back on.
[06:06] Murska: '…but now really… who IS this 'Alizarin'…
[06:07] Wolfbane: "Ex-Commander of SEU."
[06:07] Murska: 'Ah right, that guy.'
[06:07] Happy: "Consort of the Horror Queen"
[06:07] Murska: 'Okay, I guess that works.'
[06:08] Wolfbane: "I was infected night 1, that is why I let you die. It just took a few days for the changes to take a more… dramatic effect."
[06:08] Murska: 'Anyway, no special quarrel with you, I'll just dispose of you the next time we meet. Now, my pirate horror duck daughter here, on the other hand…'
[06:08] Happy: *meep*
[06:08] Shadowcaller: (…)
[06:08] Shadowcaller: DM: Okay, thats it, rocks fall. everyone dies
