Kyou 18

[19:56] Murska: Aegnor, standing near the door, looks outside. 'Well, you missed a concert, at least…'
[19:57] Happy: /Cessie..?/ Helena's voice sounds hesitant.
[19:57] Shadowcaller: "I did? I'm so sorry Aegnor…"
[19:57] Shadowcaller: /Yes? What is it Helena?/
[19:57] Happy: /I can feel that you're upset. Is something wrong?/
[19:58] Murska: 'Well, I'm sure you'll hear me play often enough that you'll get tired of it.'
[19:58] Murska: (Anything special outside?)
[19:59] Happy: A few people wave at Aegnor when they see him.
[20:00] Murska: Aegnor smiles and waves back, then returns inside.
[20:02] Shadowcaller: "The day I get tired of you or music is the day I get tired of living, and I plan to live forever." She smiles apologizingly
[20:03] Wolfbane: To Hope: "Are you going to be okay?" /Wolfen
[20:03] Shadowcaller: /Helena… there is a argument between me and hope, I don't know what to do…/
[20:03] Shadowcaller: /I can't accept her god…/
[20:05] Happy: /Did she ask you to?"
[20:06] Happy: (SWW2 update posted)
[20:06] Shadowcaller: /Its more then that, I think her god is hurting her, if she continues to follow him, she eventually is going to get hurt../
[20:08] Happy: /It's possible. I don't know much about Kuori. I still have so much to learn so I can protect my people…/ She recognizes that she's gone into her own problems and returns to the original subject. /Do you want me to talk to her?/
[20:11] Shadowcaller: /She don't listen to me, can you do that?/
[20:12] Happy: /Of course. Would this be a good time for Gilraen to come and see you?/
[20:13] Shadowcaller: /Who?/
[20:13] Happy: /My priestess./
[20:14] Shadowcaller: /I guess, why do she like to see me?/
[20:14] Happy: /I mean you and Aegnor both. She has Reorn's orb and Aegnor's knife to give you./
[20:15] Shadowcaller: /Oh.. okay, we be waiting for her then./
[20:18] Happy: While Cessie and Helena are talking, Hope slips outside.
[20:18] Shadowcaller: "Aegnor, Helena is going to send us one of her priestess to give us the dagger and the orb."
[20:18] Wolfbane: Promise follows Hope. "Is everything okay?"
[20:19] Happy: "Cessie is angry at me for serving Kuori."
[20:20] Murska: 'Oh. I was wondering where it went…'
[20:20] Murska: 'My trusty weapon. Should I dub it the Godslayer?'
[20:20] Shadowcaller: "Lets not go crazy here…"
[20:21] Happy: Simone mutters something to herself in a language Aegnor doesn't speak. But it is quite likely something about how she's the one who found the knife.
[20:21] Murska: 'Well, God-Distractor-So-A-Strong-Spirit-And-Another-God-Managed-To-Slay-Him is a bit unwieldy.'
[20:22] Shadowcaller: "Why name a weapon anyway? People are going to freak out of that name, imagine priests hearing that name."
[20:22] Wolfbane: He sets a paw on her shoulder. "There should be no reason for anyone to be angry with each other. We do what we think is best."
[20:23] Murska: 'It's so I could use it in the stories. It's not like I'd actually walk around and tell people 'My knife is called Godslayer.''
[20:24] Happy: "She thinks I'm a bloodthirsty killer."
[20:24] Murska: (Also, poor Simone. :P)
[20:25] Shadowcaller: "Oh well, its your decision."
[20:26] Happy: There's a knock on the door of the hut.
[20:26] Murska: Aegnor opens the door.
[20:28] Happy: The elven priestess Gilraen is there. She's very beautiful, having been 'enhanced' by Helena. "Greetings, Godbringers," she says in elven.
[20:31] Shadowcaller: "Greetings… Gilraen." She appears to have some diffculty to pronounce her name.
[20:32] Murska: 'Nice to meet you.' Aegnor bows slightly.
[20:33] Shadowcaller: Cessie quickly bows too, following Aegnors example
[20:35] Happy: "Greetings, Gilraen," Simone says in badly accented Elvish, and curtseys.
[20:35] Wolfbane: Promise puts his arms around her. "Hope, you are not a bloodthirsty killer."
[20:35] Happy: "In Cessie's eyes, I am."
[20:36] Shadowcaller: Simeone can hear Cessies voice in her head /What is that greeting anyway?/
[20:36] Wolfbane: "If you are, then I am."
[20:37] Happy: /I am learning to speak Elvish/ Simone says.
[20:37] Shadowcaller: /I meant your gesture./
[20:38] Happy: "No, she doesn't mind your god. Only mine."
[20:39] Happy: /It is a curtsey. A way to be showing respect./
[20:40] Shadowcaller: /Why didn't you just bow?/
[20:40] Happy: /Because curtsey is what I learn to do from Mamma. Did I do wrong?/
[20:41] Shadowcaller: /No, of course not, I'm just bit confused about it./
[20:41] Wolfbane: "I don't care. With my past, I would be more of one than you."
[20:42] Happy: Gilraen takes out the orb and knife. Reorn's orb looks similar to Helena's, but there is something somehow different about it that isn't easy to place.
[20:43] Happy: Gilraen offers the orb to Cessie. "My goddess wishes you to have this, in hopes that it will help you achieve what you seek."
[20:43] Happy: (do /you/ know what a curtsey is, SC?)
[20:43] Shadowcaller: (Of course.)
[20:44] Happy: (I don't really understand why Cessie's confused about it)
[20:44] Shadowcaller: (In hestopia men and women both bows.)
[20:45] Shadowcaller: *(Both men and Women bows in Hestopia.)
[20:45] Happy: (yeah, but why would she be confused after Simone's explanation?)
[20:47] Shadowcaller: (She was just confused about the gesture itself, it looks a bit wierd if different people makes different gestures at the same time after all.)
[20:49] Shadowcaller: Cessie nods and takes the orb "I am ever grateful for her help."
[20:49] Happy: Hope turns to face Promise, looking angry. "If she ever tries to hold your past against you… I… I…" She doesn't seem to know how to finish that.
[20:50] Murska: (Aegnor would fit the
[20:50] Murska: ('bloodthirsty killer'
[20:50] Murska: (best)
[20:50] Murska: (With his past. :P)
[20:50] Shadowcaller: (What did Promise did in his past anyway?)
[20:50] Shadowcaller: *do
[20:51] Happy: "As we are grateful for yours." Gilraen says. She takes out the knife and offers it to Aegnor. "Helena says this is yours."
[20:51] Wolfbane: (Kill his brother? And probably several other people tryng to survive.)
[20:51] Shadowcaller: (Kill his brother that was trying to kill him?)
[20:52] Shadowcaller: (There is no punishment in Hestopia for self-defence.)
[20:52] Wolfbane: (He is just trying to make a point)
[20:52] Shadowcaller: (Well, Cessie would not having against Promise if he told her that.)
[20:52] Shadowcaller: *have
[20:53] Shadowcaller: *anything
[20:53] Shadowcaller: (-.-)
[20:53] Happy: (I know that, but Hope was overreacting)
[20:54] Wolfbane: Promise squeezes her gently. "It is okay, she just doesn't understand fully."
[20:56] Murska: Aegnor accepts the knife. 'Thank you. I wish good fortunes upon you and your people.' He bows again.
[20:57] Shadowcaller: "Was there anything else… you wanted us?"
[21:02] Murska: brb
[21:02] Happy: "There was a favour we would ask of the Speaker. Our Wolfen people have suffered since the spirits have kept animals out of Yokai forest. They can eat vegetables, but they still need meat." She crinkles her nose. "And there is also something about the need to hunt for its own sake. I don't really understand that."
[21:04] Shadowcaller: "I'm sure you can fix that Aegnor?"
[21:04] Happy: Hope: "I don't think she wants to understand."
[21:04] Wolfbane: (brb )
[21:11] Murska: 'I think it might be better to find a new place to live… This isn't a good area- There are too strong humans too near, the place itself doesn't seem too fertile and the forest isn't what I would call 'something to live off of'.'
[21:13] Wolfbane: back
[21:13] Shadowcaller: "I must say I agree… this is hardly the ideal place to live, sure magic could make it all better, but with all the dangers of the slavers… I think movinf would be a much better idea."
[21:14] Shadowcaller: *moving
[21:14] Happy: "I agree. But before we are ready to move, we must still eat."
[21:14] Wolfbane: He smiles at her. "Don't worry about it. It doesn't affect how I think about you."
[21:15] Murska: 'I'll see what I can do, although I cannot create you animals out of thin air.'
[21:17] Shadowcaller: "It would most likely take moths for any animal to return to the forest anyway…"
[21:18] Happy: (Like Cessie would have any idea :P)
[21:18] Shadowcaller: (She thought it was likely, she have read things about animals mind you.)
[21:19] Shadowcaller: (You only know the practical side anyway >.>)
[21:21] Happy: "How can I not worry about it? She's one of the most important people in the world to me."
[21:21] Shadowcaller: (Just imagine, no animal is instantly going to return to a area that previously going to return to an area where they haven't been able to go for years.)
[21:22] Happy: "It may be months before we are able to leave. There are some who don't want to leave at all, and some who want to rescue all the slaves in Kyou first." She smiles. "We may not have much, but we Gallionians dream big."
[21:27] Murska: Aegnor stays silent for a moment. 'It would be best to move as soon as possible. That way, rebuilding could also start faster.'
[21:29] Shadowcaller: "And retaking slaves seem a bit farfetched, like it or not, Reorn had a point about that. My brother told me about why the Hyrillian Empire could make out divine favor…"
[21:29] Happy: "What do you mean?"
[21:29] Shadowcaller: *without
[21:31] Shadowcaller: "They have a group of wizards called "the dragon mages" I even heard about them at the university, the are a part of the Khares house…"
[21:32] Wolfbane: "Please try to. Just because a few of veiws conflict doesn't mean it should ruin anything."
[21:32] Shadowcaller: *they
[21:33] Murska: 'Once the word spreads that there is a safe haven for elves and wolfen, they'll gather there. Eventually, you'll be able to free the slaves. But I fear a confrontation with the humans is inevitable…'
[21:33] Shadowcaller: "I think everyone already know it exists, its on the map after all."
[21:34] Shadowcaller: "And Allyria claimed she already killed many agents of the slavers."
[21:34] Shadowcaller: "How come you didn't ask her of this anyway?"
[21:34] Murska: 'This isn't the most accessible spot, as you might have noticed. We did need Iname to even get here.'
[21:35] Happy: (Yeah, any escaped slaves wouldn't have been allowed through _._)
[21:37] Shadowcaller: (Reorn was trying to hide the village as good at possible, I doubt many escaped slaves knew about it.)
[21:37] Shadowcaller: (The maps didn't say it was a elf/wolfen village after all.)
[21:38] Happy: "We were never allowed to see Allyria."
[21:38] Shadowcaller: "You didn't ask Reorn about it then?"
[21:42] Murska: (Festivities tomorrow… Hmm. I'm not sure… maybe I should go to sleep tonight after all.)
[21:42] Happy: She makes a scoffing noise. "He listened to some of us. Others, not so much."
[21:42] Happy: (:()
[21:43] Shadowcaller: (Aww…)
[21:43] Shadowcaller: (I never to festivitties anyway… the party on monday was a /very/ rare expection.)
[21:44] Murska: (I accidentally a party. Is that bad?)
[21:44] Happy: (very)
[21:45] Shadowcaller: (Hm?)
[21:45] Shadowcaller: "Well, I still agree with Aegnor, you should try move out as fast as possible, not wait for the animals to move into this area again."
[21:47] Happy: "How soon would you recommend? And where would you suggest we go?"
[21:47] Happy: Hope: "I don't think it should. But I'm not sure she can accept me."
[21:48] Shadowcaller: "Anywhere outside the Hyrillian Empire would be good… if you can pass the border that is."
[21:48] Wolfbane: "I think she has, but is worried about you."
[21:51] Murska: 'Away from large human empires, prefarably somewhere where you can be reached by any escaped slaves and such but won't be easily attacked by a larger force.' Aegnor looks at Cessie and switches to Common. 'What about the Tree? It would protect them, and there are no large human nations nearby, owing to the shade making the lands around it unfertile.'
[21:51] Murska: 'It would be difficult to attack but also not so easy to reach…'
[21:52] Shadowcaller: (didn't you always speak common? I assumed the priestess knew common?)
[21:52] Murska: (Oh, right. :P)
[21:52] Happy: (She wouldn't know Western Common, would she?)
[21:53] Shadowcaller: (I guess not.)
[21:53] Murska: (Let's assume this conversation has been, awkwardly, translated by Aegnor?)
[21:53] Shadowcaller: (Sure.)
[21:54] Shadowcaller: (Of course, Servants know all languages, without accent (Kuris servants are a exception however.))
[21:55] Shadowcaller: (Not sure a priesstess is the same as a servant thought.)
[21:55] Happy: (No, she's mortal)
[21:55] Shadowcaller: (Yeah, so lets go back to the translation assumption then.)
[21:56] Shadowcaller: "Well… how will they be able to get to the tree? How many would die on the journey there?"
[21:56] Happy: "How far is it to the Hyrillian border?" the priestess asks
[21:57] Murska: (How far is it?)
[21:57] Shadowcaller: (who have the map?)
[21:57] Shadowcaller: (Quite far, with border posts…)
[21:57] Happy: (In days of travel?)
[21:57] Happy: (on foot?)
[21:57] Shadowcaller: (Be Happy that I didn't include a chinese wall:P)
[21:57] Shadowcaller: (Yes, days of travle by foot.)
[21:57] Happy: (How many days?)
[21:58] Shadowcaller: (You decide.)
[21:58] Shadowcaller: (Gah, I need to stop thinking as a narrator when someone else GM's.)
[21:58] Shadowcaller: (Stop ask me these questions, happy decides.)
[21:58] Happy: (I figure you'd already invented it so you should answer :P)
[21:59] Happy: (So, um, let's say 4 days?)
[21:59] Shadowcaller: (Sure.)
[21:59] Shadowcaller: (And don't ask for my confirmation!)
[21:59] Happy: "So what should I do?" Hope asks.
[22:00] Murska: 'Four days on foot. How many are there of you?'
[22:01] Wolfbane: "Just try to assure her that you can control yourself. And you have been."
[22:01] Happy: Promise can see a small group of women, two elves and three wolfen, moving quickly through the village, stopping and questioning people as they go.
[22:02] Happy: "I turned my prey over to her god. At least the god she used to worship. The one she thinks is 'right'. But that wasn't enough for her."
[22:04] Wolfbane: "You tried, that is all that really matters." Seeing the group, he looks up. "I think something is happening." Promise walks over to the wolfen. "What is happening?" /Wolfen
[22:04] Shadowcaller: (Man, we pick up plot hooks easy:P)
[22:10] Murska: *poke*
[22:11] Shadowcaller: (>.>)
[22:11] Happy: "Our pups didn't return for their lunch. That isn't like them—they're always hungry."
[22:12] Wolfbane: "Where did they go?"
[22:12] Wolfbane: Promise is obviously worried at the news.
[22:17] Happy: (how many people live in this village, SC?)
[22:17] Shadowcaller: (You decide.)
[22:17] Shadowcaller: (I have no idea.)
[22:17] Happy: (I hate it when you say that :P)
[22:18] Shadowcaller: (Well, I hate when I have to make up everything >.>)
[22:18] Murska: (Random number generator! :P)
[22:18] Murska: (…oops, eight million)
[22:19] Wolfbane: (100 maybe? More?)
[22:20] Happy: Gilraen pauses for a moment, not quite blanking, but similar. "Two hundred and seventy one souls."
[22:21] Murska: 'Right… We'll have to think about this.'
[22:22] Happy: Wolfen mother. "They ran off to play. We aren't sure where - the scents are too mixed."
[22:23] Shadowcaller: "The hard part would be getting them off the border without anyone noticing them."
[22:23] Murska: 'At least without someone powerful enough deciding to stop them.'
[22:24] Wolfbane: "Is there a spot where they go more often?"
[22:25] Shadowcaller: "Remember that the Hyrillian Empire is really careful about their borders, Arik sais they get raids here quite often, Kuori Hunters…"
[22:25] Happy: Simone: "I hear story once about people who were slaves. They wanting to leave, but the king not wanting them to go. So the god of the slaves sent plagues to punish the slavers, until finally the king's son die. And then he say 'Go away' to the slaves, and they left."
[22:26] Happy: Hope: "Maybe the other children know something?"
[22:26] Shadowcaller: "He released them beacuse his son died?"
[22:27] Wolfbane: (Did she say that in Wolfen?)
[22:27] Happy: "Not just king's son, but every family lose a son. That's what story say anyway."
[22:27] Happy: (Yes, Hope is speaking Wolfen)
[22:28] Happy: (The elven mothers are concerned too, and saying things, but you can't understand them.)
[22:28] Shadowcaller: "Why did he kill the sons anyway? They ahd nothing to do with it, would it not make more sense killing the soldiers or something?"
[22:28] Shadowcaller: *had
[22:30] Wolfbane: "Did they /all/ leave, or just a few?"
[22:33] Wolfbane: (Hello?)
[22:33] Happy: (:( I can't write instantly)
[22:33] Wolfbane: (=P Sorry)
[22:34] Happy: "No, our cubs often play together, and they are missing,b ut the other children are around."
[22:35] Happy: Simone: "I not know the whole story. Maybe it say there."
[22:36] Shadowcaller: "Well unless Helena feel fine with killing a lot of helpless children, I doubt that would help."
[22:36] Wolfbane: "Would the other children know?"
[22:40] Happy: Simone: "It only a story."
[22:41] Shadowcaller: "Sorry, I did get a bit harsh there, I just hate attacks on children… anyhow, any more ideas?"
[22:43] Murska: Aegnor turns to the elf. 'So… Would you be willing to live on a Tree?'
[22:44] Happy: "Maybe." The Wolfen mother makes a sharp howling noise, a sound that Promise's own mother would have used many times. The sound of summoning the cubs to come home. The other Wolfen mothers join in, and after a few minutes, a little knot of Wolfen and Elven children (who apparently know that summons as well) show up.
[22:45] Shadowcaller: (It took us four weeks to get here, and that was by a zeppelin.)
[22:46] Wolfbane: Promise crouches down. "Do any of you know where the other children are?"
[22:46] Murska: (Once they get off the empire's lands, I'd guess they can travel pretty easily towards it, without keeping a huge speed. I don't know the geopolitical situation of the area…)
[22:47] Happy: "The Trees are real?" Gilraen asks. "I always thought they were legend."
[22:47] Murska: 'I sure hope they're real… I've lived on one for almost two hundred years.'
[22:49] Murska: (Heh. Winth made me something. (Link: http://img118.imageshack.us/my.php?image=murskad.jpg)http://img118.imageshack.us/my.php?image=murskad.jpg )
[22:49] Happy: One of the cubs: "We were playing hunter and prey. Red Sock and Turo and the others were the prey. But we couldn't find them. We thought they'd won."
[22:49] Shadowcaller: (Neither dose Cessie, but I guess thats the area the Kuori hunters come from o.O)
[22:49] Wolfbane: "Where at?"
[22:50] Happy: He gestures towards the forest.
[22:50] Murska: (Almost three hundred people travelling would be safe from most bandit raids or such, and since they're wolfen and elves along with us for protection, probably from most other attacks aswell.)
[22:51] Happy: One of the mothers grabs the cub by his ear. "You went to the forest? You know that's not allowed!"
[22:51] Shadowcaller: ((Link: http://www.smbc-comics.com/index.php?db=comics&id=1501#comic)http://www.smbc-comics.com/index.php?db=comics&id=1501#comic)
[22:51] Shadowcaller: (Red Sock?)
[22:52] Happy: (Wolfen who haven't earned names are called by some characteristic. Like Black Stripe was)
[22:53] Wolfbane: "What is in the forest?"
[22:54] Happy: "Nothing lives in the forest."
[22:55] Happy: Gilraen's eyes are shining. "I always wantd to see a Tree."
[22:55] Wolfbane: "We'll find the pups."
[22:59] Happy: Simone: "I hearing there are many Trees. Is it true?"
[22:59] Murska: 'Multiple were created. I don't know what has happened to them or if they are still standing.'
[23:00] Murska: 'Anyway, it's quite far from here… But I'd think that it would be quite a safe place. For one, I've befriended it and there aren't any large human kingdoms near it. The shade, you see. Some city-states living off trade, but that's about it.'
[23:00] Shadowcaller: (I hope you are switching to common?)
[23:00] Happy: (Well, there are all the bandits)
[23:00] Happy: (Why would he switch to Common?)
[23:00] Shadowcaller: (I doubt they would attack a people personally protected by a god.)
[23:01] Shadowcaller: (With Simone I mean.)
[23:01] Happy: Hope: "We'll get our friends and start searching."
[23:02] Murska: (Bandit groups the size of what, ten or so against a group of some 270 people and protected by the Tree itself along with a god…)
[23:02] Happy: (Link: http://notalwaysright.com/burned-with-goblets-of-fire-no-doubt/1890)http://notalwaysright.com/burned-with-goblets-of-fire-no-doubt/1890
[23:02] Murska: (I'd say Aegnor'd use a language she can understand, yes. :P)
[23:04] Shadowcaller: (And really, a group of armed people would easily raid a group of unarmed people, if the Kuori hunters can compete with the soldiers of the Hyrillian Empire, I doubt they would be bothered by some unarmed refugees, but with Helenas protection they might escape.)
[23:05] Happy: (Why would Kuori's hunters go after refugees?)
[23:05] Murska: (Also, for the trip at least Aegnor's planning to accompany them.)
[23:05] Happy: *pokes Wolfie*
[23:06] Wolfbane: (Sorry, one sec
[23:06] Wolfbane: )
[23:06] Shadowcaller: (They are raiders, and they don't follow their god on every point, much like Artaris worshippers burn humans that loes wolfen, despite that its against his teachings.)
[23:06] Shadowcaller: *loves
[23:07] Happy: (Oh, I thought you meant they were chosen ones of Kuori)
[23:07] Wolfbane: Promise nods. "Give us a few moments and we will start"
[23:07] Shadowcaller: (No, of course not, there aren't that many choosen ones.)
[23:09] Happy: The women thank you for your help, and sound as worried and desparate as you can imagine mothers sounding in the situation.
[23:10] Happy: "And how far is the Tree from here?"
[23:11] Shadowcaller: (It would like be going from UK to china…)
[23:11] Shadowcaller: (By foot!)
[23:11] Wolfbane: "Lets go check the others then."
[23:14] Murska: (I somehow had the impression that it was less, what with knowledge on Kyou and it's surroundings being common near the tree and us considering making the journey by foot if necessary…)
[23:15] Happy: (It wasn't common knowledge. we had to go talk to an archivist)
[23:16] Murska: (I guess. Oh well.)
[23:16] Murska: (Time to go search for magical means of mass transport.)
[23:17] Happy: (It could be an epic journey. Would certainly provide for plenty of adventuring hooks along the way)
[23:18] Murska: (Way too long of a journey to have ever been suggested in the first place, though.)
[23:18] Happy: (retcon out the whole conversation then?)
[23:18] Murska: (yeah)
[23:19] Happy: (poor Gilraen)
[23:19] Shadowcaller: (Hey, we can still hire a Zeepelin or something, but I doubt it would tkae that many people…)
[23:19] Shadowcaller: *take
[23:19] Happy: Promise and Hope arrive at the hut.
[23:20] Murska: (Would take a lot of trips. Not to mention that it'd still not be something that anyone'd suggest.)
[23:22] Shadowcaller: (Hmm… transport everyone to the divina and then down somewhere else?:P)
[23:23] Murska: (Or just some kind of a portal spell or mass teleport spell or whatever. :P But, the suggestion will come up only if we happen across something like that.)
[23:23] Shadowcaller: (I doubt it, I have until this point avoided teleportation on all my wizards.)
[23:24] Happy: (yeah, too easily abused)
[23:24] Murska: (Kinda like Wolfy's mask? :P)
[23:24] Wolfbane: Promise enters the hut. "I hope I am not interrupting, but several of the children are missing and we need to find them."
[23:24] Shadowcaller: (Don't mention it!)
[23:24] Murska: 'What?'
[23:24] Shadowcaller: (Besides, I thought he meant something else when he asked about gaining abilities.)
[23:26] Shadowcaller: "Hope nothing dangerous have happend to them… any specific direction?"
[23:27] Shadowcaller: "I should ask Helena about this…"
[23:27] Wolfbane: "They went into the forest."
[23:27] Shadowcaller: "Well, what direction did they went?"
[23:28] Happy: "The cubs showed us which way, but they were playing a hiding game. So they could have gone anywhere after that."
[23:29] Shadowcaller: "Well, lets divide the village up into small teams then, that way we can cover the most of it quite quickly."
[23:31] Wolfbane: "Whatever we dp, we need to do it quickly."
[23:31] Wolfbane: do*
[23:31] Happy: (Does anyone translate this for Gilraen?)
[23:32] Murska: Aegnor quickly tells Gilraen what happened.
[23:33] Happy: "You go. I'll organize the village."
[23:34] Shadowcaller: "Okay, is there anything more we can do then just go around like the normal villagers?"
[23:34] Happy: (did you invite SC to the anti-chat?)
[23:34] Murska: (yup)
[23:35] Shadowcaller: (Damn that chat!)
[23:36] Happy: "Talk to spirits, cast spells, follow trails? Yeah, I think we can do more than the villagers."
[23:36] Shadowcaller: "My spells aren't made for searching."
[23:36] Shadowcaller: "Aegnor could talk with the spirits thought."
[23:37] Happy: Hope is ready to head back out the door.
[23:37] Murska: 'Let's go, talk on the way.' Aegnor heads outside.
[23:37] Shadowcaller: Cessie follows of course
[23:37] Wolfbane: Promise follows. "Are we sticking together or splitting up?"
[23:38] Murska: Aegnor quickly checks to see how many, if any, spirits are around.
[23:38] Shadowcaller: (If you had done that when Allyria was around…)
[23:40] Happy: (checking by spyglass?)
[23:41] Murska: (He'll just try to feel the spirits around at first. He won't be looking around with the spyglass while pacing quickly towards wherever Hope shows the children went to the forest at.)
[23:42] Happy: (woohoo! another victory over bestrafer!)
[23:42] Murska: (yeah, he's a wuss nowadays)
[23:42] Murska: (loses to Mordy, even)
[23:43] Happy: He can feel a few spirits. Not as many as before.
[23:44] Happy: You enter the forest. It doesn't feel as oppressive as before.
[23:44] Wolfbane: Promise sniffs the air to see if there is any scents that shouldn't be there*
[23:45] Happy: He can smell Elven and Wolfen children.
[23:45] Happy: But the trails go in many directions
[23:46] Murska: Aegnor sends out a call mentally to nearby spirits. /Hello. I need some help./
[23:46] Wolfbane: He tries to find the most recent one that doesn't head back to town.
[23:48] Happy: /Murderer/
[23:49] Murska: I assume that was in a tone that leaves it clear that it's accusing Aegnor instead of trying to state something it's seen, quite unclearly? In that case, Aegnor ignores that voice and transmits to another spirit.
[23:49] Happy: Yes, the spirits are rather hostile to Aegnor
[23:50] Happy: Promise finds a trail.
[23:50] Wolfbane: "I've found a trail!" (Wolfen or elvish?)
[23:50] Murska: Aegnor will keep trying to find a spirit which wouldn't be outright hostile, while staying with the group.
[23:51] Shadowcaller: "Lets follow it then, I hope the other groups are this lucky too."
[23:51] Happy: (both)
[23:53] Wolfbane: Promise nods and starts to follow the trail.
[23:53] Shadowcaller: Cessie follows him carefully
[23:55] Happy: The trail leads around with no sense to it, and eventually comes back again to another area of jumbled kid scents.
[23:56] Wolfbane: Promise sniffs the air again to see if there is anything wrong.
[23:56] Happy: Aegnor hears a faint voice. /… speaker?/
[23:56] Murska: /Yes?/
[23:58] Happy: This voice is angry too, but seeming to try to suppress it. /If I take you to the boy, you won't hurt him?/
[23:59] Murska: /Of course not. Why would I?/
[00:00] Happy: /You killed our god. You are no friend to us./
[00:01] Murska: /Depending on your goals, I might not be, but I am a friend to the people of this village./
[00:02] Happy: /The child is wounded./
[00:03] Happy: /Follow the wind/
[00:03] Happy: A very light breeze blows against Aegnor.
[00:03] Murska: 'Follow me.' Aegnor follows the wind.
[00:04] Shadowcaller: Cessie shrugs and follows Aegnor that suddenly seems to have the lead
[00:04] Wolfbane: brb and Promise follows.
[00:04] Happy: The breeze leads deeper into the woods, but by a straight trail rathr than the chaotic children's trails
[00:05] Happy: Cessie can sense magic around.
[00:06] Happy: Two sources of it, one near, and one farther away
[00:06] Shadowcaller: "Magic…"
[00:07] Shadowcaller: "Lets just keep going."
[00:07] Murska: And they do.
[00:07] Murska: Keep going, that is.
[00:07] Happy: Promise smells blood.
[00:09] Shadowcaller: Cessie uses ward by the way
[00:10] Happy: And they soon find a blood trail, leading up to a creek with steep banks.
[00:11] Shadowcaller: "Okay… any idea what could have happen to the child?"
[00:12] Happy: When you look over the banks, you can see the boy passed out near the water.
[00:13] Murska: Aegnor quickly moves over to him and examines his state.
[00:13] Murska: 'Hope?'
[00:15] Happy: Hope scrambles down the bank as well. The boy has a wound in his back, and a swollen ankle, and many superficial cuts and bruises.
[00:16] Murska: What does the back wound look like? What has caused it?
[00:16] Happy: As Hope begins to treat him, he stirs, and tries to get away from her, grabbing a rock to hit her with.
[00:17] Murska: Aegnor catches his arm.
[00:17] Happy: Aegnor recognizes it easily. It's an arrow wound.
[00:17] Murska: No arrow, though?
[00:17] Happy: Not still in the wound, no.
[00:18] Happy: He sees Aegnor, and clutches at him. "Slavers!"
[00:18] Happy: /elvish
[00:19] Shadowcaller: "Oh no…"
[00:19] Murska: 'Slavers.' Aegnor translates to common.
[00:19] Shadowcaller: (She understood that word actually.)
[00:19] Murska: (The other two probably didn't.)
[00:19] Happy: "Can you get him to hold still?" Hope asks.
[00:19] Happy: (no, Hope wouldn't have)
[00:20] Murska: Aegnor holds him in place and hums a calming tune.
[00:21] Happy: Hope treats his wounds and heals him, but he's probably not going to be able to walk for a while.
[00:21] Murska: 'We have to pursue them, but someone needs to take the child back to the village.'
[00:22] Happy: "They got Red Sock and Second Girl and Turo and the twins…"
[00:23] Murska: Aegnor contacts the earlier spirit. /Do you know which way the slavers went?/
[00:24] Happy: /There are slavers? Here? Reorn would never have let this happen!/ (very angry)
[00:24] Murska: /Yeah, yeah, he wouldn't, now can you find out where they are before they get away?/
[00:25] Happy: /I will try/
[00:25] Happy: "I'll take the boy back to the village," Hope says.
[00:25] Happy: She picks him up, and the boy looks at Aegnor, frightened.
[00:26] Murska: 'She'll take you back to the village. We'll go save the others, don't worry.'
[00:26] Happy: "Father will be so angry with me."
[00:27] Wolfbane: back
[00:28] Murska: 'At least you'll stay alive.'
[00:28] Happy: The boy doesn't seem to find that much comfort, crying as Hope carries him away.
[00:28] Shadowcaller: "I can summon up a air elemental if needed."
[00:29] Murska: Oh well, nobody expected Aegnor to be good with kids. He turns to the others. 'There's a spirit looking for the slavers. We need to hurry.'
[00:29] Happy: (yeah, blow away all the scents? :P)
[00:30] Shadowcaller: (Cessie don't know anything about that.)
[00:30] Wolfbane: Promise sniffs the air. (Can he smell them?)
[00:30] Happy: No, but he can easily follow the boy's back trail.
[00:31] Happy: Much straighter than the earlier trails, since he was running in terror rather than in play.
[00:31] Wolfbane: "Give me a minutes, I'm going to try and get their trail" He starts to follow the trail back.
[00:31] Murska: The group follows, after all, no point in staying here.
[00:31] Shadowcaller: "We need to be very careful here, remember that they got children hostage."
[00:33] Murska: 'Can you cast invisibility once we find them?'
[00:33] Shadowcaller: "Of course, if needed."
[00:33] Happy: The trail leads, mostly straight, with blood along it. You find a place where he stopped and pulled out the arrow.
[00:33] Murska: Aegnor picks up the arrow and examines it while moving.
[00:34] Happy: Promise can smell something odd on the arrow.
[00:35] Wolfbane: Does he recognize it?
[00:35] Happy: Some type of poison. Or possibly a sleeping drug.
[00:36] Happy: The boy shouldn't have been able to run so far after being shot.
[00:36] Wolfbane: Promise growls. "Its poisoned."
[00:36] Murska: 'Right.' Aegnor keeps it.
[00:36] Shadowcaller: "I really need to concentrate on shield spells more…"
[00:37] Shadowcaller: "The air elemental can protect us from arrows thought."
[00:38] Murska: 'I think we should try to sneak in, invisible, free the children and cause enough havok to get them out of there. Then we can focus on eradicating those bastards.'
[00:38] Shadowcaller: "Sounds like a plan, but they will be moving…"
[00:38] Shadowcaller: "Not staying in some camp."
[00:38] Murska: 'Then we'll have to move faster.'
[00:39] Shadowcaller: (Cessie is not exaclty able to move as fast as you.)
[00:39] Happy: You follow the trail and soon Promise can smell adult humans, as well as magic. Cessie can sense that magic was used here as well.
[00:39] Murska: (I thought she can only cast invisibility twice anyway.)
[00:39] Shadowcaller: (SHe can.)
[00:39] Happy: (what happened to 'magic can do anything'?)
[00:39] Murska: (So, Cessie's not going in.)
[00:40] Shadowcaller: (She don't have haste spells, and magic can do anything if you have enough of it.)
[00:40] Wolfbane: Promise unsheathes his spear. "We're getting closer"
[00:40] Happy: (fly?)
[00:40] Happy: (bah, I shouldn't remind you of your own spells :p)
[00:40] Shadowcaller: (I was thinking of that, but she would not see much of them.)
[00:40] Shadowcaller: (I /know/ my own spells.)
[00:40] Happy: (she'd move faster though)
[00:41] Murska: Aegnor slows down slightly in order to move more quietly.
[00:41] Shadowcaller: (Seems a bit risky to fly, but I guess she uses a air elemental to protect her then.)
[00:42] Happy: (damn it, why do I keep fighting guys with bears?)
[00:42] Shadowcaller: (Huh? Brute?)
[00:42] Happy: (yes. damn bears)
[00:42] Murska: (So imbalanced. :P)
[00:42] Murska: (I wish I get one.)
[00:42] Happy: (heh, me too)
[00:42] Happy: (I want a bear and shurikens)
[00:43] Murska: (Bear, herculean strength for me)
[00:43] Happy: (and the damn thief skill)
[00:43] Murska: (Or 'Impact')
[00:43] Shadowcaller: Cessie moves with they, if they move faster however, she won't be able to keep up.)
[00:43] Happy: (and I figured she'd fly just above the ground, so she could keep up and not make noise)
[00:45] Shadowcaller: (That will be a bit strange, but okay, thankfully she is short.)
[00:45] Murska: (Magical hoverboarding competitions, here we come…)
[00:46] Shadowcaller: "I don't think I keeep up with you guys this way…"
[00:46] Shadowcaller: Cessie starts flaoting just above the ground
[00:46] Shadowcaller: *floating
[00:46] Shadowcaller: "Also, I think they got a wizard."
[00:47] Murska: (For some reason this brings to mind that scene from Star Wars… you know, in the forest with those hoverboard thingies)
[00:47] Happy: (the hoverbikes?)
[00:47] Murska: (yeah)
[00:47] Happy: (damn ewoks)
[00:47] Shadowcaller: (Indeed.)
[00:47] Happy: (time for a teddy bear roast)
[00:48] Murska: (Now just have Cessie start shooting fireballs while weaving around the trees at the enemy wizard doing the same)
[00:49] Shadowcaller: "I doubt they got a /real/ wizard thought, since then they could have taken on the whole village."
[00:49] Murska: (By that definition, she's not a real wizard. :P)
[00:49] Shadowcaller: (She don't see herself as one.)
[00:49] Shadowcaller: (She never finished the university remember?)
[00:50] Murska: (Define 'Wizard': 'One who can single-handedly wipe a certain amount of people.')
[00:50] Happy: (I'm sure Cessie 5 sees herself as one)
[00:50] Shadowcaller: (Bah, she don't have enough power or knowledge of magic, thats why she don't see herself as a wizard.)
[00:51] Shadowcaller: (Or training.)
[00:51] Murska: (Regardless, I assume we approach the enemies.)
[00:52] Happy: You approach the enemies.
[00:52] Happy: About the same time, the spirit reports. /I have found them./
[00:52] Murska: /Good timing. We're approaching them now. How many? How are they armed? Where are the children?/
[00:53] Happy: brb
[00:57] Murska: brb
[00:57] Happy: /There are 8 of them. They carry the children over their shoulders like sacks./
[00:58] Happy: /Three children and two of the young savages./
[00:59] Shadowcaller: Cessie slows down a bit as Aegnor concentrate more on the spirit.
[00:59] Murska: /Do you see a wizard?/
[01:00] Murska: (Happy, you cheated in SPW. You reached four votes before FC.)
[01:02] Happy: (I did? I never went back and counted after I changed my vote)
[01:02] Murska: (ayup. -.-)
[01:02] Happy: (better complain to the narrator then :P)
[01:02] Shadowcaller: (Will note that in the rules of Kyou II…)
[01:03] Shadowcaller: (Too late.)
[01:03] Happy: (Will note what in the rules?)
[01:03] Shadowcaller: (That you can't go back and change a vote.)
[01:03] Shadowcaller: (you need to post a new one.)
[01:03] Happy: (Um, I did post a new one)
[01:04] Shadowcaller: (Good for you, now what dose the spirit say?)
[01:04] Shadowcaller: (Then Murska should have nothing to complain about.)
[01:04] Happy: /One of them is unarmed. He may be a wizard./
[01:05] Murska: (Hm? I just counted the votes and, although I may be failing again, to me it looks like Happy was saved by someone with a doublepoint.)
[01:05] Murska: (So yes, I complain. :P)
[01:06] Happy: (If that's the case, then I guess you finally won. Even if the narrator miscounted. -.-)
[01:06] Murska: (You were saved by a special role, I'd guess. )
[01:07] Murska: /What formation are they moving in? Any scouts?/
[01:07] Murska: Aegnor relays this information to the others.
[01:11] Happy: /They are moving quickly, moving away from you. The children are in the center./
[01:12] Wolfbane: "Who do you want me to go after first.?"
[01:12] Shadowcaller: "I cast invisibility on you of course."
[01:12] Shadowcaller: *first
[01:13] Murska: 'Hmm. We need some way to get the children away from there. If there are five bandits, each carrying one…'
[01:13] Shadowcaller: "We need to caught up to them first, lets move out."
[01:14] Murska: (They're moving all the while.)
[01:15] Wolfbane: "Want me to take out the wizard first? Or do you have him?"
[01:15] Shadowcaller: (Well, concentrating more on moving then talking that is.)
[01:15] Murska: 'Your call. I can take him if needed.'
[01:16] Happy: (you're drawing close enough now that if you move any closer you risk being heard as you plan)
[01:16] Murska: (time for invisibility and attack, then?)
[01:16] Shadowcaller: "Be careful if he got any types wards or such."
[01:16] Shadowcaller: "Rogue wizards can create some ptretty nasty stuff…"
[01:17] Happy: (I didn't realize there wre so manypoint affecting powers in the game)
[01:18] Shadowcaller: Cessie casts invisibility on Promise and Aegnor then
[01:18] Murska: We can't see each other, right?
[01:18] Shadowcaller: (Nope.)
[01:19] Murska: Well, Aegnor moves towards the slavers, masking the sound of his movement to their footsteps.
[01:19] Wolfbane: Promise starts to sneak towards the group going for the wizard.
[01:20] Happy: No one particularly looks wizardy, but one of them is unarmed. Five of the men have unconscious children in a fireman's carry.
[01:22] Murska: Aegnor positions himself slightly ahead the group and draws his bow, getting ready to shoot at the unarmed man once he walks closer.
[01:22] Wolfbane: Promise quietly makes his way to get behind the unarmed man.
[01:23] Shadowcaller: Cessie is hiding herself in shadows, still followinf the group in the distance
[01:23] Shadowcaller: *following
[01:25] Wolfbane: As soon as Promise gets close enough, he thrusts the spear as hard as he can at the man's back.
[01:25] Shadowcaller: (Breaking invisibility.)
[01:25] Wolfbane: (Yeah)
[01:27] Murska: Aegnor waits to see if the strike connects, ready to shoot at either the unarmed man or the closest enemy without a child.
[01:27] Happy: The spear hits an unseen shield. Promise's arm is ringing from the impact.
[01:27] Murska: Aegnor shoots at the unarmed man.
[01:27] Murska: (I assume this also breaks invisibility. :P)
[01:28] Murska: He's standing a bit to the side, in front of the group.
[01:29] Shadowcaller: Cessie summons a air elemental and orders it to help Aegnor and Promise
[01:30] Happy: The arrow also hits the shield. The wizard shouts a warning and starts to cast a spell.
[01:31] Wolfbane: Promise spins the spear and aims for the legs to trip the wizard if he can't hurt it..
[01:31] Murska: Aegnor shoots again at the closest enemy without a child and then switches to Godslayer in his left hand and a dagger in his right.
[01:34] Happy: The two fighter guys without children are armed with bows. They both shoot at Promise. One arrow hits, the other misses.
[01:34] Wolfbane: (Where at?)
[01:35] Happy: Aegnor's arrow grazes fighter A.
[01:35] Happy: (YOur choice)
[01:35] Wolfbane: (Left shoulder)
[01:35] Murska: Aegnor starts throwing daggers at a fast pace at the archers.
[01:35] Happy: The fighters carrying children run for cover.
[01:35] Happy: In the trees.
[01:36] Happy: Fighter A gets hit with a dagger. (I assume you're not throwing Godslayer?)
[01:36] Shadowcaller: The ari elemental reachest the fight
[01:36] Shadowcaller: *air
[01:37] Wolfbane: (Did he trip the wizard?)
[01:37] Happy: (Oh right)
[01:37] Happy: Wizard is tripped.
[01:37] Murska: (not throwing it, yeah. That's why it's in my left hand.)
[01:38] Happy: And a lightning spell goes flying through the trees instead of at you.
[01:38] Murska: Aegnor draws an axe and rushes towards the children carriers, axing the first one he reaches into anywhere vital he can reac.
[01:38] Murska: h
[01:38] Shadowcaller: The air elemental goes for the closes fighter
[01:38] Happy: One of the guys with children is shouting. It's the Kyou tongue, so you don't understand it, but he's got an arrow to an unconscious elf girl's throat.
[01:38] Shadowcaller: *closest
[01:38] Happy: not arrow, dagger
[01:39] Murska: Aegnor slows down his charge. (Where is that guy?)
[01:39] Happy: (the child carrying mooks ran for cover during the first couple rounds. They're hiding behind trees)
[01:40] Happy: (This guy is holding the kid out to show you, while keeping most of himself hidden)
[01:40] Happy: Fighters A and B get swept up by the air elemental and slammed into trees. They probably aren't aive anymore
[01:40] Murska: (Darn these people react fast.)
[01:41] Happy: (SC thinks I'm too easy on you :P)
[01:41] Shadowcaller: (Indeed.)
[01:41] Murska: (Heh.)
[01:41] Shadowcaller: (They are trained warriors after all.)
[01:41] Murska: (Well, we did have the element of complete and total suprise.)
[01:41] Murska: (And are they trained warriors, or just slavers?)
[01:41] Shadowcaller: (Or rather slavers.)
[01:42] Happy: (slavers are kind of used to getting in fights)
[01:42] Murska: (But only with unarmed civilians)
[01:43] Happy: (Well you've killed 1/4 of them already.)
[01:43] Murska: (Ayup. anyway.)
[01:43] Happy: Promise's shoulder starts to go numb
[01:43] Happy: The wizard vanishes.
[01:44] Wolfbane: Promise swings his spear in a wide arc.
[01:44] Wolfbane: (Too many chats to keep up! Gah!)
[01:44] Wolfbane: (He swings it one handed)
[01:44] Murska: Aegnor quickly transmits to the spirit: /Can you stop the one threatening the girl?/
[01:44] Shadowcaller: Ceissie is getting closer to the fight
[01:46] Happy: /I have very little power on the mortal plane, but I will try./
[01:46] Murska: /Can't you get anyone else to help? It's their people, after all./
[01:47] Murska: Aegnor has still moved towards the trees a bit, pretending to be stopping his charge while still getting as close as possible.
[01:48] Happy: The man is still shouting at you. Then another of them calls out in really horrible Elvish "Drop weapons!"
[01:49] Murska: Aegnor responds in a calm manner. 'If you hurt them, you die.'
[01:50] Wolfbane: (Does Promise hit anything?)
[01:50] Shadowcaller: Cessie is now really near the group, trying to sneak up to the man with the hostage
[01:50] Shadowcaller: Not getting too close thought
[01:50] Shadowcaller: Since she don't need to
[01:51] Wolfbane: (Cancell it if he sees the girl threatened)
[01:53] Happy: Promise hits the shield again, but not as hard, and just at the end of his spear.
[01:54] Shadowcaller: What is the hostage guy doing?
[01:54] Happy: Cessie can feel lots of magic in the area
[01:55] Shadowcaller: She try to sense the main concentration
[01:55] Happy: Hostage guy digs the tip of his dagger a little deeper into the girl's throat.
[01:56] Wolfbane: Seeing this, Promise stops and lowers his spear.
[01:56] Happy: One cluster around hostage guy and elvish speaking guy
[01:56] Murska: Aegnor also stops.
[01:56] Happy: "Drop weapons now"
[01:57] Shadowcaller: The air elemenrtal is behind Aegnor now
[01:57] Shadowcaller: *elemental
[01:57] Wolfbane: (In elvish or common?)
[01:57] Murska: He drops the axe from his right hand and, with the same movement, flicks Godslayer into his sleeve behind his back so it looks like he's holding nothing.
[01:57] Happy: (In elvish. These guys don't know Western Common.)
[01:59] Wolfbane: Not understanding the language, but seeing Aegnor drop his weapon, Promise sets his spear down easily.
[01:59] Shadowcaller: (Really, calling it elvish would like calling common for "humanish" there are so many elven langauges…)
[01:59] Shadowcaller: *languages
[01:59] Murska: (There are? :P)
[01:59] Happy: (there arne't enough elves to support multiple languages)
[01:59] Shadowcaller: (I think they are a few variants out there,)
[02:00] Murska: (Dialects, at least.)
[02:00] Happy: (blah. languages are always a pain in games. that's why I gave you a linguist)
[02:01] Happy: Cessie can sense a larger concentration of magic behind her just as a force beam hits her.
[02:01] Happy: I have no idea how that works with the wards
[02:03] Shadowcaller: (I pass out? The ward is not made for larger hits.)
[02:03] Shadowcaller: (Just to prevent fist fights, pick-pockets and such.)
[02:04] Shadowcaller: (It would make the blow easier thought.)
[02:04] Happy: (I was thinking more slammed to the ground. This isn't god level force beams like your guys throw around)
[02:04] Shadowcaller: (Hehe…)
[02:06] Shadowcaller: I'm slammed to the ground then
[02:07] Murska: Anything from the spirit(s?)?
[02:07] Happy: (I don't want to one-shot you out of the fight on one of your rare chances to be a PC you know)
[02:07] Happy: (oh… right… I totally didn't forget about them >.> )
[02:07] Shadowcaller: Bah, I doubt Cessie would die of that
[02:08] Murska: and god help the bandits if she would -.-
[02:08] Murska: slavers, that is
[02:08] Shadowcaller: Anyhow, I try to rise up and cast fireball at the magical concntration
[02:09] Shadowcaller: (Come on, if I would die, there won't be any GM's left:P)
[02:09] Shadowcaller: (Or the bandits would suddenly face some /very/ unpleasant horrors.)
[02:10] Murska: (Such as, I don't know, Aegnor who just noticed that they killed Cessie? :P)
[02:10] Shadowcaller: (bah, I would ressurect myself, Nega can do it.)
[02:11] Shadowcaller: (Anyhow, do I succed with that fireball?
[02:11] Happy: (give me a minute, have to resolve the spirits first)
[02:14] Happy: (Link: http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg254/Seweron/wraith.jpg)http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg254/Seweron/wraith.jpg
[02:15] Happy: That guy suddenly manifests behind hostage guy
[02:15] Shadowcaller: (o.O)
[02:16] Happy: It's wings wrap around hostage guy, and then it fades.
[02:16] Happy: Hostage guy crumples to the ground.
[02:16] Murska: Aegnor springs into action, rushing towards the hostage guy place. :P
[02:16] Happy: Elf girl falls to the ground.
[02:16] Shadowcaller: (Fireball?)
[02:17] Happy: Fireball goes boom.
[02:17] Happy: Wizard casts dispel magic, but not before being badly burned
[02:17] Happy: The dispel also made him visible.
[02:18] Shadowcaller: Another fireball, same target
[02:18] Shadowcaller: (Kill it with fire!)
[02:19] Murska: (Oo Joker/Chandra Grue?)
[02:19] Wolfbane: Promise leaves his spear since he can only use one arm effectively and charges the nearest armed man.
[02:19] Murska: (-.-)
[02:19] Happy: Aegnor reaches hostage guy, who is quite dead, a look of horror frozen on his face. The elf girl is on the ground, unconscious. You hear the other guys running away from you
[02:20] Happy: Promise catches up to one of them, who doesn't seem to be carrying a child any more.
[02:20] Murska: Aegnor pursues the enemy, making sure with a quick glance that the elf girl isn't in life-threatening danger.
[02:21] Wolfbane: Promise tries to grab the man's throat one handed to tear it out.
[02:21] Happy: Wizard guy is faster this time and dispels the fireball before it hits him
[02:21] Happy: Wolfen claw vs throat
[02:21] Happy: Not an epic victory for throat
[02:22] Happy: Guy is very dead, and Promise has very bloody claws
[02:22] Wolfbane: He looks for another slaver.
[02:22] Shadowcaller: The air elemental moves toward the wizard then
[02:22] Wolfbane: And he is very angry now.
[02:23] Murska: Aegnor will attempt to kill any slavers he manages to catch up to.
[02:23] Shadowcaller: I fly away, hiding behind some tree
[02:24] Happy: There are three left alive, besides the wizard. One carrying a wolfen child, the other two dropped theirs.
[02:24] Wolfbane: Promise would head for any that have children first.
[02:26] Murska: Aegnor would also head for the one with the child.
[02:26] Happy: The wizard holds his hands up. "I surrender!" he says in Cessie's direction. It's in Kyou language, but he's also making a wizardly surrender gesture that Cessie recognizes.
[02:27] Happy: He's got a lead, and he's running pretty fast.
[02:27] Shadowcaller: (With a child on him?)
[02:27] Shadowcaller: (Faster then a wolfen?)
[02:27] Wolfbane: Promise runs as quickly as possible, somtimes dropping to use his useful arm.
[02:28] Happy: The numbness is spreading.
[02:28] Murska: Aegnor also runs, and once he's close enough to hit without a chance of wounding the child, will throw daggers at the man.
[02:28] Shadowcaller: She sends the air elemental to guard the wizard then
[02:28] Shadowcaller: Once he is in sight, she casts dispel magic and then hold person on him
[02:29] Happy: A dagger hits the guy in the hamstring, and he tumbles to the ground
[02:29] Murska: Aegnor catches him and slices his throat.
[02:30] Murska: (What about the remaining men?)
[02:30] Happy: They're fleeing
[02:30] Happy: without children
[02:30] Murska: Another direction or close enough to be catchable?
[02:30] Happy: You might be able to catch them.
[02:31] Murska: After I kill the fallen man, I take off after those two.
[02:31] Happy: The unconscious Wolfen child lies on the ground, obviously Red Sock by his fur colouring.
[02:31] Happy: Wizard guy is held.
[02:31] Wolfbane: Promise picks up the child and starts to take him back.
[02:32] Shadowcaller: Cessie checks him, just to be safe
[02:33] Happy: Checks him for what?
[02:33] Murska: (Pah, no respect for nature, these slavers… littering children all over the forest.)
[02:33] Happy: (Yeah, and you still need to find the other three that got dropped.)
[02:33] Murska: brb
[02:33] Shadowcaller: (Just that he is really stunned, you can't be too sure with wizards.)
[02:33] Wolfbane: Promise sets Red Sock next to the elf girl and starts to search for the others. Probably starting to move awkwardly from the numbness.
[02:35] Happy: One of the slavers is running when this spirit manifests in front of him: (Link: http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg254/Seweron/image.jpg)http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg254/Seweron/image.jpg
[02:36] Happy: He screams, trying to stop his run, and falls on the ground.
[02:37] Shadowcaller: Cessie guards the wizard meanwhile, trying to see signs of the others
[02:37] Happy: (the other children? slavers? PCs?)
[02:38] Shadowcaller: (PC's)
[02:38] Wolfbane: (Probably see Promise dropping the child off and looking for the others)
[02:38] Happy: Yeah, she sees Promise returning.
[02:38] Murska: Aegnor kills the slaver he catches up to with Godslayer, and goes after the last one.
[02:38] Wolfbane: (With an arrow sticking through his left shoulder)
[02:39] Shadowcaller: "Your…bleeding."
[02:39] Happy: The spirit vanishes again. /It is good that he was frightened. I couldn't have done anything to him/
[02:40] Wolfbane: Promise tries to keep from showing the numbing. "I'
[02:40] Wolfbane: ll be fine, we have to find the other children."
[02:40] Happy: /The last one is dead. The wraith took him./
[02:41] Murska: /Good. Thank you./
[02:41] Murska: Aegnor backtracks, checking the slaver corpses for anything useful and gathering his own equipment.
[02:41] Shadowcaller: "You can at least pull out the arrow…"
[02:41] Murska: Also, of course, looking for any children
[02:42] Wolfbane: "Trust me, leave it in for now."
[02:42] Happy: Promise searches, and finds two elven boys not far apart.
[02:42] Shadowcaller: "As you wish, it don't look very healty you know?"
[02:43] Happy: Aegnor finds the Wolfen girl.
[02:43] Wolfbane: Promise takes them back and sets them with the others one at a time.
[02:43] Happy: The slavers were armed with bows and drugged arrows.
[02:44] Shadowcaller: *healthy
[02:44] Murska: Aegnor carries her to the others. He also retrieves a bunch of drugged arrows.
[02:44] Happy: One of them was carrying a vial of the drug.
[02:44] Murska: Taken. :P
[02:44] Shadowcaller: (Wait… you are going to use non-leathal force? o.O)
[02:44] Murska: (They're still as lethal arrows as the normal ones.)
[02:45] Murska: (Just that they ALSO drug.)
[02:46] Happy: Cessie can feel, and Promise can smell, that the children are spelled.
[02:46] Shadowcaller: (bah, the drug don't work fast enough for your deeds.)
[02:47] Wolfbane: Promise looks at Cessie. "Can you dispell it?"
[02:47] Happy: (The idea is that you don't hit a vital area, they'll still drop.)
[02:47] Shadowcaller: Cessie uses her two last dispel magic on the children
[02:47] Shadowcaller: "I can dispel two of them."
[02:48] Murska: Aegnor arrives, carrying the last child. 'They're all dead.'
[02:48] Shadowcaller: "Not this one…" She nods in the direction of the wizard.
[02:49] Murska: 'We should fix that.'
[02:49] Happy: (which two kids?)
[02:49] Shadowcaller: (Random!)
[02:49] Shadowcaller: (GM decides.)
[02:49] Happy: (One wolfen boy, one wolfen girl, two elf boys, one elf girl)
[02:49] Shadowcaller: "No, I held him for a reason, he surrendered."
[02:50] Murska: Aegnor sighs.
[02:50] Murska: 'Well, I'll go grab my weapons back.'
[02:50] Murska: He returns to the ambush site and retrieves his axe and daggers, checking corpses again.
[02:51] Happy: They have normal stuff. Some money, daggers, leather armor inferior to your own.
[02:51] Wolfbane: Promise grabs his spear and sheathes it.
[02:51] Wolfbane: (How far has the poison spread?)
[02:52] Murska: Aegnor grabs the money, and examines the daggers to see if they're good enough to be worth keeping.
[02:52] Happy: Some of them might be worth throwing
[02:52] Happy: His left arm is completely numb now, and he can feel it approaching his heart
[02:53] Shadowcaller: (o.O, its not a poison is it?)
[02:53] Wolfbane: (Is it the same one used on the kids?)
[02:53] Shadowcaller: (I doubt the suddenly change to lethal posion during the fight.)
[02:53] Shadowcaller: *poison
[02:54] Murska: Aegnor grabs the daggers that seem like they could be useful and returns. He seems to only then notice that Wolfbane is wounded. (The kids were used magic on?)
[02:54] Happy: (they didn't poison the kids, they cast sleep on them. Anyway, I need to know which two woke up))
[02:54] Happy: (Or at least which species of kid)
[02:54] Murska: (Red Sock and the elf girl, then, if it's supposed to be random.)
[02:54] Shadowcaller: (sure.)
[02:55] Happy: Red Sock wakes up first. "What happened?" /wolfen
[02:55] Shadowcaller: (Why do slavers have letahl poison?)
[02:55] Shadowcaller: *lethal
[02:56] Happy: Lethality isn't an on/off thing. If Promise had stayed still after he got hit, he'd be okay. But he ran around, got his blood flowing, and the poison is spreading.
[02:56] Happy: And if it numbs his heart, then…
[02:56] Wolfbane: "Guys…I'm not feeling well. The arrow was poisoned."
[02:57] Happy: The girl wakes up, and tries to get to her feet and flee.
[02:57] Wolfbane: (I thought it was the same stuff as the arrow they found)
[02:57] Shadowcaller: "It was? Maybe you should sit down?" (and why do you say guys anyway?)
[02:57] Happy: (It is the same stuff. It isn't lethal unless it numbs something important. Like, say, your heart. :P)
[02:58] Murska: Aegnor stops the girl and attempts to calm her down.
[02:58] Happy: Normally it wouldn't matter because it would need to hit you in the heart to impact it, and then you're dead by arrow. But like i said, all the running around was not good.
[02:59] Wolfbane: (True, he wouldn't have said Guys. strike that from the record) Promise sits down. He looks at his useless left arm.
[02:59] Happy: (is he going to answer the boy?)
[02:59] Shadowcaller: (If you are hit by a arrow, you often do run quite a lot, unless you die from it.)
[02:59] Happy: The girl is caught, and struggles.
[02:59] Wolfbane: "You were captured by some slavers. We rescued you."
[03:00] Murska: 'Relax. You're safe, unless you run off.'
[03:00] Happy: "Are they dead?" he asks, looking at the other children.
[03:00] Wolfbane: "No, they are only sleeping."
[03:01] Happy: "Wake up, Second Girl," he says, shaking the female wolfen.
[03:01] Happy: She doesn't wake.
[03:01] Wolfbane: Promise shakes his head. "It is a magical sleep. They'll wake up after it wears off."
[03:02] Murska: (How many daggers did I get?)
[03:02] Shadowcaller: Cessie don't understand a word you say, so she just sits down in the air a while
[03:02] Happy: The girl stops struggling. "Where's Del? Did the slavers get him?" /elven
[03:03] Happy: Wizard guy is still standing there frozen.
[03:03] Shadowcaller: (He didn't collapase?)
[03:03] Happy: (He was standing up when you paralyzed him)
[03:03] Shadowcaller: (Every other hold person have done that.)
[03:04] Happy: (if he'd been running, he would have fallen)
[03:04] Murska: Aegnor assumes she means the boy who was shot. 'He was wounded, but he's being taken to the village.'
[03:04] Shadowcaller: (Oh well…)
[03:05] Happy: Aegnor got 8 daggers.
[03:05] Murska: He lets go of the girl since it doesn't seem like she's going to run off.
[03:05] Shadowcaller: (My cat got 12 daggers.)
[03:05] Happy: She doesn't. She seems to have understood the Wolfen part of the conversation, so she doesn't try to wake her friends. "Can we go home now?"
[03:06] Shadowcaller: (Do the wolfen knows elven anyway? How do they communicate? o.O)
[03:06] Murska: Aegnor looks at the others.
[03:06] Shadowcaller: "I don't think I can carry a child…"
[03:06] Happy: (They've lived in the same village all their lives. Of course the kids know each others languages)
[03:07] Shadowcaller: (How old are they?)
[03:07] Murska: (oh right, and asks them the same question, differently worded)
[03:07] Murska: (:P)
[03:07] Murska: (darnit language barriers)
[03:07] Happy: "I can carry Turo," Red Sock says.
[03:07] Wolfbane: "I don't think I can carry one for very far. My side is already going numb and my arm is useless."
[03:08] Happy: The children look to be about 7 or 8.
[03:09] Shadowcaller: "We can't leave them here…"
[03:09] Murska: 'Well, we might just have to wait until the sleep spell wears off. Or get that wizard to dispell them.'
[03:10] Wolfbane: "If you can take a few back, I can guard the others until you come back. But please get Hope."
[03:10] Shadowcaller: "Good thing I spared him then hm?"
[03:11] Shadowcaller: Cessie dismisses the holding spell
[03:11] Murska: Aegnor looks at Promise. 'How bad is it?'
[03:11] Shadowcaller: Then she points meaningful at the still sleeping children
[03:12] Wolfbane: Promise lifts his left arm and lets it drop. he looks back up. "You tell me."
[03:12] Wolfbane: (he lifts it with his other arm)
[03:13] Happy: The wizard dismisses the sleep spells on the children, and the other three wake up.
[03:13] Murska: 'I don't like it. We need to get you to Hope.'
[03:14] Shadowcaller: She casts hold person as soon as he is done with that
[03:15] Happy: Red Sock takes charge of the other children and explains things to him, and Turo, the smallest elf boy, joins him at once. They're clearly the leaders of the group.
[03:16] Murska: Aegnor checks the wizard for weapons and other items. As stated, if we're going to keep a wizard as a prisoner, we don't want him to have access to his stuff.
[03:17] Happy: He gets a small collection of potions and oils, a wand, and a ring.
[03:18] Murska: He examines them briefly for any obvious signs of what they are and then hands them over to Cessie.
[03:19] Shadowcaller: "Okay, should I cast fly one anyone?"
[03:19] Murska: Unless there's something marked 'cure poison'
[03:19] Shadowcaller: "Um… thanks."
[03:19] Murska: (Learn Identify. :P)
[03:19] Happy: There is nothing marked Cure Poison, sadly.
[03:20] Shadowcaller: (Anyone needs fly?)
[03:20] Wolfbane: (Promise may appreciate it)
[03:20] Shadowcaller: (tell me that then.)
[03:21] Shadowcaller: (What class are you anyway? Ranger?)
[03:21] Wolfbane: "Cessie. I don't know if I could make it back if I strained myself too much more. Could you make it so I can fly back?"
[03:21] Wolfbane: (Uh…)
[03:21] Happy: (no class in freeform)
[03:21] Shadowcaller: "Of course." Promise suddenly notices that he can fly.
[03:22] Shadowcaller: (Well, to base his abilities on.)
[03:22] Murska: 'Maybe you should go ahead. I really don't like how that's looking.'
[03:22] Murska: Aegnor hands Promise the vial of poison. 'Here's a sample of it.'
[03:23] Wolfbane: (I figured fighter, possibly ranger. I never really thought about it much)
[03:24] Murska: (I haven't thought of it at all. Psychopath/Spiritspeaker?)
[03:24] Shadowcaller: (Thats spirit shaman actually.)
[03:24] Murska: (Very probably called different things in different places.)
[03:24] Shadowcaller: (And you got bard abilities too.)
[03:25] Murska: (Yay. :P)
[03:25] Happy: (So what are you guys doing?)
[03:25] Shadowcaller: "So, what do we do then? The children can run home I guess…"
[03:26] Happy: (And you have a frozen wizard)
[03:26] Wolfbane: Promise takes the vial. "I'll tell the others to expect you. Watch them carefully."
[03:27] Wolfbane: (Promise is going to be flying back)
[03:27] Shadowcaller: "I think they can handle themselves without the slavers around."
[03:27] Shadowcaller: (we know.)
[03:27] Wolfbane: Promise nods and starts to fly back to the village to get to Hope.
[03:28] Happy: Promise flies away. Is Aegnor going to tell the children to run along home unescorted?
[03:29] Shadowcaller: (Cessie got 1 fireball, 1 fly and one hold person spell left, and 1 mind probe…)
[03:30] Shadowcaller: Cessie mind probes thw wizard
[03:31] Murska: No, Aegnor is going to pick up the wizard and keep the group together while going back to the village.
[03:32] Shadowcaller: Okay, lets wait with the mind probe then
[03:32] Shadowcaller: Cessie casts fly on Aegnor too then
[03:32] Happy: /Cessie? What's happening?/ (Helena)
[03:32] Shadowcaller: /Slavers… we saved the children./
[03:33] Shadowcaller: /Promise is a bit hurt, he is coming back toward you.)
[03:34] Happy: Promise hears Helena in his mind. /Promise, how badly are you hurt?/
[03:35] Shadowcaller: (I think they retreated to insanowar:P)
[03:36] Happy: (that's because DC is awesome)
[03:37] Wolfbane: /Badly. Poisoned. I had to fight and it accelerated its work. I'm not sure I'll be able to stand when I land so please ask Hope to be ready for me. I also have a vial of the poison./
[03:37] Shadowcaller: (I consider that a bit cheap, I would have killed that sorcess SO bad if I had been in the game.)
[03:38] Shadowcaller: (I really hope I don't end up with DC.. most of my turns would consists of mocking his ham/cheese to endless levels.)
[03:38] Shadowcaller: (Like: Man, you must really be overcpmensating for something.)
[03:39] Shadowcaller: *overcompensating
[03:39] Shadowcaller: (To his cheesty characters that is >.>)
[03:39] Shadowcaller: *Chessy
[03:39] Wolfbane: *cheesy
[03:39] Wolfbane: :P:
[03:39] Shadowcaller: (right,)
[03:39] Happy: Promise feels a prescence as Helena manifests next to him. "I have you."
[03:40] Wolfbane: Promise relaxe a bit. "Thank you. Is Hope waiting for me?"
[03:41] Shadowcaller: "Okay… we need to get moving too I guess."
[03:41] Murska: 'Yeah.' The group gets going towards the village.
[03:41] Shadowcaller: (with both Aegnor and Cessie flying.)
[03:43] Happy: "She is." Helena places her hand on the arrow wound, and Promise feels the numbness retreat a little.
[03:43] Happy: The children are quite recovered from the ordeal and running and shouting excitedly.
[03:44] Shadowcaller: "Hm, this was the part of children I didn't like…"
[03:44] Happy: One of the search parties reaches Helena and Promise and helps him back to the village.
[03:45] Happy: And the others soon run into another search party.
[03:47] Shadowcaller: (Um, I can't speak either of their languages.)
[03:47] Shadowcaller: /The children are safe, take them back to the villager./
[03:48] Shadowcaller: *Village
[03:48] Wolfbane: Promise moves with Helena.
[03:48] Happy: You don't really need communication in this situation. They're looking for children, you have them.
[03:49] Shadowcaller: (creeped out by voice in their head?:P)
[03:49] Shadowcaller: *by a
[03:53] Shadowcaller: (So, what happends?)
[03:54] Happy: You arrive back at the village. People seem rather shocked that you left one of the slavers alive, though they're too grateful for the rescue of the children to tell you off for it.
[03:54] Happy: Promise is placed in the first hut he reaches, and Hope is there to meet him.
[03:54] Murska: Aegnor is carrying him like they carried the children, and will unceremoniously dump him onto the ground at first opportunity.
[03:55] Happy: Hope: "You were only shot once?"
[03:55] Happy: She tends to the wound.
[03:56] Wolfbane: "I had to fight also. I wasn't going to let the slavers get them."
[03:56] Shadowcaller: Cessie asks Aegnor to carry the mage into their hut
[03:57] Murska: Aegnor grudgingly complies.
[03:57] Happy: "Of course not. But the boy ran after he was shot, and he's much smaller than you. It doesn't make sense."
[03:58] Shadowcaller: Cessie mindprobes the wizard once he is inside the hut
[03:58] Wolfbane: "I don't know either."
[04:00] Shadowcaller: (Must see his true role in the game:P)
[04:01] Happy: Cessie scries the wizard. He's a wolf!
[04:01] Happy: Hope uses a sharp blade to shave the fur around the wound before removing the arrow. Then she packs the wound with herbs.
[04:02] Shadowcaller: (Day phase then?)
[04:02] Shadowcaller: (Or maybe we should continue tomorrow?)
[04:03] Happy: (yeah, good idea. I wasn't expecting him to survive :P)
[04:03] Wolfbane: (Who, the wizard or Promise?)
[04:03] Wolfbane: (Or both?)
[04:03] Shadowcaller: (What did you expect when he surrendered?)
[04:04] Happy: I didn't /plan/ on him surrendering
[04:04] Wolfbane: (He was lucky Promise wasn't there. He would have tore his throat out with his teeth.)
[04:04] Shadowcaller: (Bah, you brutes.)
[04:05] Shadowcaller: (You can tell you are all playing that game.)
[04:05] Wolfbane: (Then maybe he would have walked to Cessie and told her never to call Hope a bloodthirsty killer again)
[04:05] Happy: (hehehe)
[04:05] Wolfbane: (All that to prove a point)
[04:05] Shadowcaller: (Was that a threat?)
[04:05] Wolfbane: (No, he would say not to, because Promise would be the real one)
[04:06] Murska: (I don't think Aegnor would've taken to that very kindly. Inter-party conflicts abound again.)
[04:06] Wolfbane: (After all, he just bit out a guy's neck)
[04:06] Shadowcaller: (Well, that would not be cold blood.)
[04:06] Wolfbane: (After hearing the guy surrender?)
[04:06] Shadowcaller: (That just make you a bloodthirsty killer.)
[04:06] Murska: (Hey, without Cessie, Aegnor'd have killed him after he surrendered.)
[04:06] Happy: (Promise wouldn't have recognized the surrender)
[04:07] Shadowcaller: (Cold blood implies that no feelings was involved.)
[04:07] Shadowcaller: (I wasn't going to die!)
[04:07] Murska: (Wizard prisoners are troublesome. Better off dead.)
[04:07] Happy: (I think he means if Cessie hadn't been there, he'd have killed the guy.)
[04:08] Happy: (Not that he'd have killed him if Cessie hadn't survived. That goes without saying :P)
[04:08] Murska: (Yup. :P)
[04:08] Shadowcaller: (Bah, I mind probe him, then we can send him to the Divina or something.)
[04:08] Happy: (Do you think the villagers will let you?)
[04:09] Happy: Unlike Allyria's crimes, this one was committed against /them/
[04:09] Murska: (Aegnor will convince them that it's the worst punishment possible.)
[04:09] Murska: (To be imprisoned for eternity.)
[04:09] Shadowcaller: (Well, there would be servants meeting them form time to time.)
[04:09] Happy: there you go. Cessie's ticket to immortality
[04:09] Shadowcaller: (Trying to reform them.)
[04:10] Shadowcaller: (Um, you still age.)
[04:10] Happy: You said eternal imprisonment, not life imprisonment
[04:10] Shadowcaller: (well, the remains will still be there.)
[04:10] Happy: *snicker*
[04:10] Happy: So if they reform, they get set free?
[04:11] Shadowcaller: (Yes, remember that they got truth spells and whatnot.)
[04:11] Murska: hmm…
[04:11] Shadowcaller: (So they would know.)
[04:11] Murska: my next insanowar post will be tough to make.
[04:11] Murska: I'll have to off Bill and Night Surgeon.
[04:11] Murska: Meaning I have to think up epic enough deaths for them.
[04:11] Murska: Or well, I don't HAVE to off Bill, actually… Idea… :P
[04:12] Happy: Good luck convincing the villagers to turn their prisoner over to a human god, when they have a god of their own.
[04:12] Shadowcaller: (they got Helena.)
[04:12] Murska: OUR prisoner.
[04:12] Happy: That's what I mean. Why would they ask Artaris to try him?
[04:12] Happy: Your prisoner, but the crime was against their children.
[04:13] Murska: ayup. As I said, it'd have been easier for everyone just to slit his throat.
[04:13] Happy: You're the police who caught the guy, not the judge who tries him.
[04:13] Wolfbane: Or tear it out
[04:13] Shadowcaller: Bah, I can send him off there without their permission
[04:13] Happy: Even if Helena doesn't want you to?
[04:14] Shadowcaller: She wants to kill him?
[04:14] Murska: hmm…
[04:14] Shadowcaller: Really, I don'
[04:14] Murska: I need suitable quotes for Night Surgeon's archon.
[04:15] Happy: It's /her/ people, not Artaris's. It's poor leadership for her to say 'I can't handle this. I'll send him to a human god.' Especially since it's a human criminal.
[04:15] Happy: The villagers would start to think she was weak and lose confidence.
[04:15] Shadowcaller: She don't even have aplace to imprison him, and the villagers don't need to be told about it
[04:15] Happy: Don't need to be told? Everyone in the village knows already
[04:16] Happy: Six kids don't go missing in a village this size without everyone knowing about it.
[04:16] Shadowcaller: Let her to the trail then, then if they deicde prison, they can sed him off to the Divinia
[04:16] Shadowcaller: *decide
[04:16] Happy: YOu know what? You can make all these arguments IC.
[04:16] Shadowcaller: To me, it sounds like such a trial would follow mob-logic anyway
[04:17] Wolfbane: Besides, SC, I think this would be out of Artaris' jurisdiction
[04:17] Wolfbane: We are lucky we got away with the speaker
[04:17] Shadowcaller: No place is outside his jurisdiction
[04:17] Murska: Or so he thinks.
[04:17] Shadowcaller: Exactly
[04:17] Happy: He's a human god
[04:18] Shadowcaller: Well, to him, he is everyones god
[04:18] Happy: And unless someone calls him, he isn't really concerned in this.
[04:18] Happy: The Legion was a crime against humans, so it was appropriate for him to try it
[04:18] Happy: This is a crime against elves and Wolfen
[04:18] Shadowcaller: Any there any wolfen gods anyway?
[04:19] Shadowcaller: I know Helios was one
[04:19] Shadowcaller: But then again, he is everyones god
[04:19] Wolfbane: They mainly have Legends. Those who became famous enough to be remembered forever.
[04:19] Shadowcaller: Like that huge wolf?
[04:19] Wolfbane: Yeah
[04:19] Wolfbane: Fenrir
[04:20] Shadowcaller: Directly stlen from the norse mythology:P
[04:20] Murska: I found quite a lot of possible quotes for the archon
[04:20] Shadowcaller: *stolen
[04:20] Murska: but it's a daunting task to make it fit.
[04:20] Wolfbane: /supposedly/ could destroy entire armies with a roar. Pretty much taken, but it fit
[04:20] Shadowcaller: Indeed
[04:21] Shadowcaller: And really, next time I'm GM, the enenmies will be on human, or at highest, wizard level
[04:21] Shadowcaller: I'm just a sucker for epic villians
[04:21] Wolfbane: Yeah, I figured
[04:21] Wolfbane: Almost died from one
[04:21] Happy: yeah, epic villains with massive armies
[04:22] Shadowcaller: >.>
[04:23] Shadowcaller: Cessie is not going to leave Hyrillian without Arik thought
[04:24] Shadowcaller: And to be a good god, Helena needs to set up a real trial, unless she wants to be the Kuori-type of god
[04:25] Happy: I never said there wouldn't be a trial.
[04:25] Shadowcaller: Okay, Kuori do have trails…
[04:25] Shadowcaller: Just not for preys
[04:25] Shadowcaller: No mercy for preys, but otherwise its pretty much like Hopes tribe
[04:25] Happy: But she'll never agree to turning him over to Artaris. If you do it, it will have to be against her wishes or behind her back.
[04:27] Wolfbane: I don't think Promise would take it kindly if he heard that the wizard who stole /children/ was going to get off lightly. He would possibly attack the guy.
[04:27] Shadowcaller: o.O
[04:27] Shadowcaller: Why dose everything have to be punished with death?
[04:27] Shadowcaller: Its too easy
[04:27] Shadowcaller: *do
[04:28] Wolfbane: He stole /children/, a tribe's future. He doesn't take it lightly
[04:28] Shadowcaller: Punishments should not be easy
[04:28] Wolfbane: Reformation? Life Imprisonment in a safe place?
[04:28] Wolfbane: That is easy
[04:28] Happy: And it also sends a message that slavers get off easy
[04:28] Murska: We don't have eternal torture as an option
[04:28] Shadowcaller: Not really, that take a lot of time and effort
[04:29] Shadowcaller: To kill someone takes 1 second
[04:29] Shadowcaller: Even less then that, depending on the methode
[04:29] Murska: Easy for the punisher, eh? Well, that's a good thing.
[04:29] Happy: There's two messages that have to be sent. First to other slavers and second to the villagers who are in turmoil
[04:29] Shadowcaller: Bah, it should never be easy for the punisher
[04:30] Shadowcaller: Thats the first rule
[04:30] Happy: They went along with the idea of genocide for one reason: to protect their tribes from slavery
[04:30] Happy: If Helena lets slavers off easy, they won't be able to trust her
[04:30] Shadowcaller: Well, many wolfen actually serves the slavers
[04:30] Happy: These Wolfen don't
[04:31] Shadowcaller: Helping them hunting down more wolfen/elves
[04:31] Happy: Just like most humans don't keep slaves
[04:31] Happy: Anyway, all of this is OOC knowledge for Cessie.
[04:31] Shadowcaller: Of course
[04:32] Murska: The easiest way for us would've been just to kill him, and there's nothing wrong with using the easiest way. I mean, 'oh well, the evil slaver didn't get tormented as much as he should've been' but I guess we can be merciful.
[04:33] Shadowcaller: Well, then it would have been another thing, not a punishment
[04:34] Murska: Convenient action then.
[04:34] Shadowcaller: Yeah
[04:34] Murska: Incidentally it'd also have removed the need for all the fuss about the punishment.
[04:34] Shadowcaller: Well, done is done
[04:34] Happy: But that would remove the opportunity for lots of fun roleplay
[04:35] Happy: so this way is better
[04:35] Murska: :P
[04:35] Happy: Cessie can mind probe him tomorrow, and then she'll end up being the main witness for the prosecution xD
[04:35] Murska: Yeah, but that's exactly how Aegnor would act if Cessie didn't protect him.
[04:35] Murska: now then
[04:36] Murska: back to insanowar post
[04:36] Shadowcaller: And everyone in the village agreed with Nia at first
[04:36] Shadowcaller: They cheered at the end of his speach
[04:36] Happy: Why did they agree with Nia? Because they hated the slavers.
[04:37] Shadowcaller: Well, they knew more then Allysia
[04:37] Happy: They didn't do any of it though
[04:37] Shadowcaller: And yet you don't blame them for anything, they were willing to kill so many humans
[04:37] Happy: They just wished for it.
[04:38] Happy: What would you put them on trial for?
[04:38] Shadowcaller: Yeah, but still, a whole village wishing for genoicde…
[04:38] Happy: Wanting humans dead? Is that a crime?
[04:38] Shadowcaller: Perhaps not
[04:38] Shadowcaller: But Cessie is not feeling that well with such people around her
[04:39] Shadowcaller: Reorn explained the reasons quite well
[04:39] Happy: But th ink of it from Aegnor's pov… this is the first time he's been among elves since he was a child.
[04:39] Murska: okay, I'm going to be creating this Insanowar post 'till the apocalypse if I don't go to sleep
