Exodus 10

As Aegnor touches the door he feel oddly warm at first, but it takes just a moment for him to realize that what he touches touches him back and it is angry, very, very angry. There is a chorus of screams in his head and then he feels like he is dragged down into a cold grave…
Everything becomes black
He have no concept of time after that, but slowly the light returns to him.
He feels very weak, even before he opens his eyes
Like he just survived a series of punches to the head
Once he opens his eyes he can see he is still in the ruin, much like he remembered it. But its a… dragonified version of it. All the walls and floors are emerald green. There are paitings on green dragons on the walls. It all looks very much like something he would come up with
He is all alone he soon realizes, neither Michicora, Simone or Naib is anywhere near him
Aegnor säger:
sec
Shadowcaller säger:
The black room he touched is gone too, he is elsewhere, in the hallway that was before the pyramid
Everything looks like it have been taken directly from his mind and then was remade, its even a bit hazy at parts he can't remember of the ruins
Aegnor säger:
back
Shadowcaller säger:
(Got time to add more description )
Aegnor säger:
( )
'Unh.' He looks around for a moment.
Shadowcaller säger:
The room is completely empty, just as he remembered it. It looks like someone have been trying to make it all look new again, but not really succeded
Everything is colored in different shades of green
Aegnor säger:
He heads for the pyramid entrance then. (The word 'green' had been bouncing around in his mind for a while now, looking for a connection)
Shadowcaller säger:
He can hear something that sounds very much like a snore as he approaches the pyramid. That if the snorer was twenty times larger then a human that is
Aegnor säger:
He goes further, carefully looking ahead.
Shadowcaller säger:
As he enters the pyramid everything inside there looks very… hazy. Like someone have tried to puzzel together pieces of reality and really failed
Everything is very inconsitante
*inconsistant
Aegnor säger:
/Must be because I never was here./
Shadowcaller säger:
There is one way leading straight upwards, it looks very unreal somehow
A lot of missing titles and walls that just have been replaced with either a image of a dragon or the color green
Aegnor säger:
/I don't like this place… it feels like it should be long dead./
He follows the way carefully.
Shadowcaller säger:
The way feels solid enough to walk on
After a few moments walking he comes to a green field that somewhat is connected to the pyramid
The feeling of unrealness increases, as he is walking in a dream
This part however feels very familiar. He have been on this field before
Aegnor säger:
He looks around for a moment again before continuing on. /Odd…/
Shadowcaller säger:
There are trees in the distance, a enterie forest in fact.
*entire
Aegnor säger:
He approaches the (green) forest then.
Shadowcaller säger:
As he walks on the more familiar the palce feels. When he comes to a stream with a bridge he finally realizes that he is on the tree again
But there is something odd about it
Once again he can hear a loud snore in the distance
Aegnor säger:
Hmm. He walks to the bridge and steps on it.
Shadowcaller säger:
Nothing happends, thought he can hear something that sounds like birds in the trees
Aegnor säger:
He tries to see the birds.
Shadowcaller säger:
He can see their silhouettes in the trees
Aegnor säger:
He reaches for his kazoo to call one to him.
Shadowcaller säger:
Underneath the bridge he can hear something splash
Aegnor säger:
He quickly steps off the bridge, kazoo in hand.
Shadowcaller säger:
A whole swarm of birds suddenly comes to him from the trees. But they look different, more reptilian
Like everything else, they are… badly made
Like a not-done painting
Aegnor säger:
/Whoever made up this place has a distint lack of artistic talent. No offense./
He looks under the bridge.
Shadowcaller säger:
He can see a huge, unmoving troll
It looks dead
Aegnor säger:
/Well that is weird./ He walks over the bridge.
Shadowcaller säger:
The swarm of not-done birds follows him in the air. They act pretty much like all birds do however
What direction is he walking in?
Aegnor säger:
Towards the snoring I suppose.
Shadowcaller säger:
He can see the oracles tower in the distance, it looks larger then he remember it.
There are houses…
He can see people moving around there
(Have Aegnor ever seen a lizardman?)
Aegnor säger:
(I don't think so.)
Shadowcaller säger:
(Okay.)
Aegnor säger:
(We might've seen statues in some of the rooms, where they were caught as 'intruders' tho)
Shadowcaller säger:
(Okay.)
Aegnor säger:
He goes closer.
Then he has a thought and examines himself.
Shadowcaller säger:
He can see that the "people" all look quite different, by the fact that they aren't human anymore.
He looks like he always did actually
Aegnor säger:
Good.
Shadowcaller säger:
He got his gear on and everything
(hehe.)
They are all reptilian, looking like the lizardmen statues he saw in the ruins, but more alive and well… green
They act pretty much like the people he met in the tower thought
Not paying much attention to him
Aegnor säger:
He heads past them towards the tower itself then.
Shadowcaller säger:
There are two lizardmen guards at the entrance
They look at him strangely
Aegnor säger:
'Hello there.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"Hey… who are you?" The guard sound oddly like him
"Your not… supposed to be here I think."
"You look all wrong."
Aegnor säger:
'Hmm. On the contrary, I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be here.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"Why is that? We don't allow anyone into this tower." The other lizarman nods in agreement
Aegnor säger:
'I don't suppose any of my possible argument would sway you, unless you're particulary philosophically-minded and are willing to consider the possibility that you don't, actually, exist.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"We exist as much as you do, you don't even look real. Where are you from.. why do I have the feeling there is something wrong with you?…"
"He got no scales!" The other guard exclaim
"All wrong!"
Aegnor säger:
'Mm. How can you say what I look like is wrong just because it differs from the norm?'
Shadowcaller säger:
"Yes! Only reptilans are allowed here! Be gone with you, never come back!" He waves his spear at you threatingly
Aegnor säger:
'Didn't you just say NOBODY is allowed there?'
'Besides, I wouldn't be in this world without having reptilian blood anyway, I would assume.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"Bah, don't try to be clever with us. Just go away, we don't like your kind around here."
Aegnor säger:
'Hm. I suppose, although I somewhat doubt you've seen many of my kind around here.' He turns back and walks farther from the tower.
Shadowcaller säger:
The distances are somehow different he realizes as he is walking away from the tower. In the distance he can see the smoking remains of the bandit camp that should be much further way. There are however no damages at all to the forest around it
Aegnor säger:
He sits down for a moment, and starts playing something with his kazoo.
Shadowcaller säger:
More animals come out of the forest, they all look dragonicfied like the birds
The deers got scales and long tounges that looks like the lizardmens
It looks like someone had took the scales of a lizardman and put them on a deer then added a few other things
Its very messy, like a badly painted pitchure
Aegnor säger:
He stops for a moment, then touches the ring of 'Speak to Giant Tree' with his other hand and attempts to talk to it. /Hmm. Hello?/
Shadowcaller säger:
/Speaker… I hear…/
Aegnor säger:
/Greetings. I've ended up here again, it seems./
Shadowcaller säger:
/Seeking?../
Aegnor säger:
/I don't know how or why I'm here… I need to get back somehow./
Shadowcaller säger:
/Ask… creator…/
/He controlls…/
Aegnor säger:
/Where is he?/
Shadowcaller säger:
/Happy place…/
/Where you want to be…/
Aegnor säger:
He blinks. /Hmm… Well, whatever this place is, it's good to hear you again./
Shadowcaller säger:
/I am… only a part… his.. your.. version./
Aegnor säger:
/I think I understand. Regardless, farewell./
Shadowcaller säger:
/Farwell…/
Aegnor säger:
He looks around for a short moment and decides to head for the bandit camp first.
Shadowcaller säger:
It looks pretty much how he remembered it after he had searched one last time
The smoke keeps pouring of of the builings like they had chimneys
Aegnor säger:
He heads on towards the stone forest, Leafport, and stuff.
Shadowcaller säger:
The stone forest is green once again. There are not traces at all of the worm or its servants
Aegnor säger:
'Well something good…'
He doesn't head in it anyway.
Shadowcaller säger:
It looks like a happier, more dragonified version of the tree he remembers
Leafport is also inhabited by lizardmen acting like the people he have met around
All buildings are green by the way
Aegnor säger:
Next stop, towards Caster's tower.
Shadowcaller säger:
Casters tower looks much taller then he remembered it, enlarged like the oracles. Its also inhabited by lizardmen versions of people he vagely remembers. He can't see caster thought.
Aegnor säger:
He doesn't approach it any further, but decides to test his hunch and goes towards where the glade was.
Shadowcaller säger:
The glade… as he approaches it he can hear something snoring again
It looks even more enchanted then he remembered it, but he can't see the nymphs anywhere. Instead a huge dragon, that looks like it have been taken directly from Aegnors mind lies there sleeping
Aegnor säger:
He quietly approaches a bit, trying to see if there's anything else anywhere.
Shadowcaller säger:
The glade is empty with the exception of the huge dragon
The snoring suddenly stops
Aegnor säger:
'…wake the sleeping dragon…' He mutters.
Shadowcaller säger:
The dragon opens its eyes, that are, unlike everything else, pure yellow
"Who dares disturb the mighty… Dragon..ios!?" The voice that sounds very much like his own but much, much louder.
The huge reptilian steps up and looks around until it spots Aegnor and glares at him
Aegnor säger:
'Um. Hello?'
Shadowcaller säger:
"You!"
Aegnor säger:
'Me?'
Shadowcaller säger:
"You survived after all?"
Aegnor säger:
'I haven't, to my knowledge, died yet. Hopefully.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"No matter, I won't feel threatened by some weak elf."
"Do yourself a favor and surrender before I lower myself enough to actually kill you myself!"
Aegnor säger:
'Uh. Okay? I surrender?'
Shadowcaller säger:
"Ha! Perfect!"
"Now, go away. I have a body to controll…"
Aegnor säger:
'Who exactly are you?'
Shadowcaller säger:
"I am the dragon Dragonios, the strongest dragon in the world!"
Aegnor säger:
'Riiiight. Okay. How many dragons have you measured to come to that conclusion?'
Shadowcaller säger:
"I made this world perfect."
"…a lot of them."
"Go away elf, you no longer have any power here."
Aegnor säger:
'So, you made this world. I have to say, you lack the proper vision for the job.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"Dragonios roars and stomps the ground "You dare to instult myy perfect world!?"
"I have made it much better!"
*insult
Aegnor säger:
'It's kind of like the world I originally was in, but you've slapped 'dragon' on stuff. I have to say, I prefer the original.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"Your world was weak, this is much better."
"Now go away, I won't warn you again, I rule this world now, not you!"
Aegnor säger:
'Hey, I just said I'd prefer the original, if that can be arranged.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"You make demands on me? You have the arrogance of a dr- elf. Stupid creature, get out of my sight."
The dragon hizzes a warning
*hisses
Aegnor säger:
'Hmm. Where exactly would I go? Am I supposed to stay in /this/ world?' A tone of disgust.
Shadowcaller säger:
"Go and die for all I care, I rule this world now and I am the one that decides how its going to be."
"I don't need you anymore."
Aegnor säger:
'Ya think? Well, what about you just tell me how to get back to the REAL world, and I'll leave you to this… mockery.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"The real world is mine too, all of us- me is mine… wait…" Dragonious shakes his head "Stop confusing me weak elf, its all mine now."
He repeats himself a lot
Aegnor säger:
'You don't actually have anything. You might delude yourself into thinking you do, but it's simply not true.'
Shadowcaller säger:
The dragon smiles "I have control over evertyhing ever since you fell. I control mind… and body."
Aegnor säger:
'And how do you know?'
Shadowcaller säger:
*everything
"Ask your friends…" Dragonious laughs
"Oh wait, you can't how sad."
Aegnor säger:
'And that's just another one of your imaginary worlds.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"No! Simone, Naib… they are all there."
Aegnor säger:
'Really? Prove it.'
Shadowcaller säger:
Dragonius looks at you oddly "What do you mean prove it?"
Aegnor säger:
'You made this world, therefore it isn't real. Now you talk of another world. Why would that be real?'
Shadowcaller säger:
"Beacuse… this is our.. my mind, and that is the real world. You must know the differance between whats real and not?"
Aegnor säger:
'You can't.
'It's impossible to know what's real and what's not, in fact.'
'Maybe that is because you don't actually control anything, but are instead a pitiful puppet.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"But I can make changes here, I can't do that in the real world…"
"a puppet?" The dragon starts to sound a bit worried
Aegnor säger:
'You /think/ you're making changes, but nothing actually changes.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"Sure it dose!" He steps up on his hindlegs and roars. Suddenly another dragon appears beside him. Its a bit smaller and is red rather then green.
"See? I have now made a mate…"
Aegnor säger:
Aegnor laughs.
Shadowcaller säger:
Dragnonious blinks "What?"
Aegnor säger:
'You just don't get it.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"No?" The glances at the apperenly female red dragon that smiles back at him.
"I don't get it… I met het here in the glade. Its just like you. I am much better then you."
Aegnor säger:
He grins. 'Yeah right. All you do is copy things. But what does it change?'
Shadowcaller säger:
"I am a dragon! Much better then any elf!"
"All dragons are better… we are a superior race."
Aegnor säger:
'Hahaha. There is no such thing as a superior race. You can't prove anything exist, since you don't even exist yourself.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"I exist as much as you! I control you- me!"
"us.."
Aegnor säger:
'You don't exist. I don't exist. And all that you control is in fact just your delusions. Maybe you should just give up on it.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"No… I have goals… they told me of the dead dragons. I need to bring them back, I need to bring them all back…"
"You won't stop me elf, I don't need you anymore. You have repressed me enough!"
Aegnor säger:
'How do you think you can bring anything back when you can't actually DO anything?'
Shadowcaller säger:
"I control us… thats enough."
Aegnor säger:
'Face it, you don't.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"i move our arms, i move our limbs, I move our mouth!"
Aegnor säger:
He just laughs again. 'Exactly. And what does that tell you?'
Shadowcaller säger:
Dragonious seems confused "That I'm in control?"
Aegnor säger:
'No. I hope you aren't a fool… do I have to walk you through this?'
Shadowcaller säger:
"Don't insult me elf, spit it."
Aegnor säger:
'Hmm. Contradictory orders. Stating something so obvious is an insult to your intelligence… oh right, I can't insult something like that.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"…I.. just tell me."
He looks back at the red dragon for support
It smiles encouragily to him and nods
Aegnor säger:
'You still think that thing is real…'
'Okay, let's take a look at this slowly, and see how far we have to go before even your intellect gets it.'
'Let me ask you a question. Your statement 'I control us'. It implied you believe you exist. Why is that?'
Shadowcaller säger:
"Beacuse… I exist?"
"I am a part.. of us."
Aegnor säger:
'You are a part of something. How have you decided that means 'you' exist? What is this 'you'?'
He, while talking, steps a bit closer.
Shadowcaller säger:
"…what is you then? Your also a part.."
"Please don't insult my mate, I love her…"
Dragonious seems very insecure
Aegnor säger:
'I've never claimed I exist. Thus, I can't be in control either. Now, the concept of 'relativity' states that, to us, 'us' exists. That is disputable, but I doubt we're going that way today.'
'But if we are part of 'us', how can we think of ourselves as 'me' or 'you'. We might /technically/ be named parts, but what exists is 'us'.
'You' cannot control 'us' since 'you' don't exist.
Shadowcaller säger:
"But… they killed you. Or I thought so… if you died, there would be only me."
"I would be us."
Aegnor säger:
'No, if I died there would be no 'us'. I cannot die. Can't you see that?'
'I' am 'us', 'you' are 'us', thus if 'I' die, 'us' doesn't exist, thus you don't either.
Shadowcaller säger:
"But you was always the one that was in control…"
"Now I am."
Aegnor säger:
'No…' He shakes his head sadly. 'Is it even possible to explain this so you'd understand?'
Shadowcaller säger:
"Please don't insult me.." Dragonious hangs his head sadly, still glancing back at the red dragon
Aegnor säger:
'Sorry… we work better together than at odds like this.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"I- maybe… I should not have been so hard."
"But I need to bring back the dragons, its my destiny."
Aegnor säger:
'If it is, then it's mine aswell. We are us.'
Shadowcaller säger:
The world changes a bit, it becomes more clear. not as green as it was.
The red dragon changes shape, suddenly its Cessie standing there smiling. Dragonious looks back at her and smiles.
Aegnor säger:
*smile*
Shadowcaller säger:
Then he turns to you "Maybe I did wrong.."
"She is real right?"
Aegnor säger:
'She is, for 'us'.'
'We can work together, you know.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"Thank you…" You suddenly notices how great tears are running down the dragons "cheeks"
"She is all I live for…"
He shakes his head again.
"Yes working together."
"I'm sorry it became like this… I was left in charge, it was so much to do."
Aegnor säger:
He smiles. 'I'm sure we can do well as a team. Well for us, not just you or me.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"I never hurt anyone of them… I could not do it."
"How could I possibly hurt them?"
(You have no idea what he is talking about )
"Yes, we need to unite again… I was not good on my own anyway."
"So many misstakes…"
Aegnor säger:
'I'll help.' He walks even closer.
Shadowcaller säger:
The dragon suddenly shrinks down and turns into a almost perfect copy of you. Just with a few reptilian features.
"Well… Dragonious wasn't the best name anyway."
His voice sounds exaclty like yours now
Aegnor säger:
'Mm. Maybe it could be refined.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"We don't know any good names, I was making it up when you woke me up."
"I made up a lot of things…"
"I don't even know if I really looked like a real dragon… we really need to see one."
Aegnor säger:
'Maybe we will. We could ask some of these things too, if you want.'
Shadowcaller säger:
"Yes… I would appriciate that."
He walks towards you but suddenly stops and looks back at Cessie "You take care of her right?"
"She is a bit like a dragon…"
"To me."
Aegnor säger:
'Of course.' He smiles warmly. 'She is kinda fiery at times.'
Shadowcaller säger:
He or rather, you smiles back "Yes… thats one thing I like about her…" He pauses "Well, lets get this over with." He touches you and slowly you feel yourself draw back to your own body.
